We tackled assembling the bike as a family project. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The package is heavy, but I have 2 teen boys that were able to move it. The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

That is more like a pain studio. That looks perfect and less painful. Well done.

I have the Wahoo Kickr bike as well. I did the same, buying the reconditioned V1 bike. Love it. I found the original saddle VERY uncomfortable and changed it right away as well. Your setup is amazing. Pretty sure the rest of the world is jealous! ;)

I also have the Kickr Bike....best money spent for indoor cycling. You should look into the Insta360 X3 camera (for touring videos)....it may actually replace your GoPro.

Just use a smart trainer when the weather is bad in the NW USA. Unfortunately for me I’m on the smart trainer more than I want to because of the wet and cold conditions. That why I make trips to Arizona with my road bike.

VERY nice setup. I got some good ideas from your video. I have a similar pain cave; my weights are pretty old school, some barbells and a bench but gets the job done. I recently picked up a Wahoo Kickr and I’m loving it so far, it’s turned out to be a great training tool and way less tedious than my old rollers. Using an iPad right now but going all the way with the flat screen TV soon. Cheers!

It is not a cave, looks more like a proper bicycle home! Only thing I would add is some good speakers to motivate tempo training or if you need additional ambient sound setting for yoga.

Ride an old dumb turbo when it's icy out. Otherwise I ride outdoors-Today's ride was 19.7 miles with a starting temp of 30F.

I also bought a Kickr bike in the last set of discounts that Wahoo Offered. I was wondering if you ended up changing the saddle or handlebars? I changed my saddle straight away to match my outside bike and the handlebars after a month as the bars that come with it are quite wide for me and the tape is quite poor.
I managed to get Wahoo to offer me a longer trial of Systm X and found the workouts (the old sufferfest very good). Not sure what bike computer you have, but if it’s a Garmin or Wahoo, you. An get it to control the Kickr Bike as a workout or even a real route from Strava. I would imagine you can export those watt bike workouts to a format suitable. I’m impressed with your weights setup btw.

Thank you for your comment :) yes, the discounts were pretty good ^^ I also changed the saddle immediately, I changed it for a carbon one that I want to test on the road, so now trying it on the wahoo bike to see if it's comfortable. Will change the handlebar also at some point, not a fan of the one it comes with either.
I am currently using a wahoo computer, it synchronises well with the kickr ^^

@@Buzzalong.cycling brilliant. A word of advice if you change the handlebars. The shifter fasteners are over tightened and held firm with loctite. You will also need a stubby hex key to access the shifter fastener without stripping them. I ended up using some WD40 very carefully applied to the fastener bolt and left for 30 minutes to dissolve the loctite and allow it to be loosened. Maybe you’ll have more joy, but doing this I was able to change the bars and tape to make them very comfy and for my narrow shoulders, the right width. Good luck with the bike. I am very happy with mine though being in Sydney, Australia, it’s not getting as much use as it will in winter, though, even in winter our temperatures are acceptable for riding as long as a stay reasonably close to the coast.

Handle Bar worn adjustment screw ....If it is aluminum, you can have a workshop rethread the screw and give you a larger bolt. If you ride to the USA I will fix it for you. HA hA!

Hi! In my opinion, those indoor cycling machines are a waste of money and space. Much better is to hook up your bicycle to a smart trainer. That way, you don't even need to adjust your position, or buy another saddle. Since smart trainers have erg mode, there isn't any need to shift gears and I use a track bike. Typically workout software coaches design overly complicated workouts, probably in order to prove that they're doing something special. However, the basic FTP and VO2 workouts are quite simple. For example, VO2 Max: 10 to 20 times 30s/30s (Billat intervals). So you can just program your own workouts. Check out Dylan Johnson's review of Zwift workouts and also how to improve FTP. Enjoy!
