- a couple weeks ago, Wahoo sent me the brand new Kickr Bike, it was a complete surprise... Not a bad surprise hey?! Anyway - they haven't asked me to do anything as 'payment' for the bike, but I thought it would be pretty cool to film my first Zwift race using the bike. ENJOY!!

Me trying to stay in the front group on Zwift: Almost dying, blacking out and becoming dizzy only to get dropped 10 - 15 min later.

He used a bike that should have been unlocked in a tournament. Pretty sure it wasn't any of the live events, but apparently some bikes have slightly different stats for variety, not just aesthetics.
Anyway, doesn't change the fact that he won the tournament and finals fair and square. He didn't break any rules at the time either, so he got penalised unfairly.
Think about what you say next time... he didn't cheat in coming first on the day, he probably didn't know that the cool looking hard to get bike was slightly advantageous, but don't villainize him for actual achievements.
Alex Charles Even if he did know it’s for the organisers to regulate what they are riding and all riders could have chosen the tron bike. Also funny that real bikes have different stats for aerodynamics stiffness etc and organisers don’t care. The whole ban is a farce.

I am always happy to see brands recognize the work and advertising that athletes do to them. Sometimes it turns out to be free advertising. At other times (as in this case) rewarded with a gift.

NICE SPRINT at the end, that 1000 sustained for that long, pretty legit! Ive hit 1,150 but only for just over 1 second haha, Ive got a long way to go to get back into it!
2:28 Descents are not 100% 'real' with max slider. Zwift only sends 50% to the trainer. On a -10% grade you only feel -5% of it. GPLama covered this back in February 👍

Nice video cam! I’ve had my kickr bike for 5 weeks now and been absolutely loving zwift. Very jealous you got it for free though when I forked out £3,000!!! Haha. It’s by far the best indoor smart bike in the market in my opinion. Love the wahoo brand. 🙌🏻
I had a missed call from an 020 number too, mine was about a large inheritance I have coming my way from a prince I didn't know I was related to overseas though. Looks awesome and a great gesture by Wahoo, I can't even get hold of one to buy!

Hando Romper moved house so haven’t had much time on it to be honest, in the half hour I had with the Zwift freebie on my phone I can see that it will be goof fun and good fitness improver so win win. Getting a 42 inch screen so make it bit more fun than a little android phone hopefully

The bike is great, and I love mine. Super quiet, easy, the unlock feature on gradient is really helpful in races. Also, you can set it ot whatever gearing you want. Mine's set to my AXS but can do Campi, Shimano electric and mechanical. But I am having some Height problems where the almost frame height is dropping so in races, i'll find my knees in my chest. That sucks, but i'm getting it sorted/fixed.

Sand and sequoia is one of the first hilly courses I rode after getting my kickr climb, going thru those whoops in the jungle really put a smile on my face, I have heard the kickr climb is more responsive than the whole bike. Not sure if thats true

I’d find a how to video useful about getting out of the saddle. When do you get out? What’s the benefit of getting out opposed to staying seated but changing down?

They look great do the Wahoo bikes, it will take some getting use to, would be great to see you ride again this time with a different gear ratio and see how it feels. 👍
1300W sprint ugh that makes me cringe thinking about it as my best so far has only been 800 and change ... good effort ... looking at one of these to replace my Tacx Neo 2 smart trainer as I am tired of chains and sprockets on my scrap bike at this point which is just a standard commuter -- but I don't want to wear on my awesome road bike so up to now I been ok with keeping old bike just from Zwift no longer want to take my Zwift to the next level .. like how this has the climb and easy adjustments too so if I can get my Mrs into Zwift she can jump on it to ....
Great video!! You are so fit geez. I currently have the kickr move and climb combo but was thinking of upgrading to the kickr bike??? taking money out of the decision do you think it's much better than a bike on a trainer ?? I really would appreciate your thoughts as you have experienced both now.

You need to bump up the trainer resistance in Zwift. That would give you more gear roll out.

Agree, what’s worse is when the same number rings you a few times and doesn’t leave a message . When you ring back they say I’ve been trying to get in touch and rang you a few times.

you need a fan man. Zwift without a fan is a sure way to overheat yourself.
At around 6:00, the different chainring and cassette settings are for having different physical components, not a different difficult settings with the default ones the unit comes with, right?
Great channel, just started using Zwift. Been using Rouvy and really like it but not enough other riders. On Zwift is there a way to get the "terrain view" on the bottom of Swift like they have on Rouvy or a map view to know what inclines/declines are coming? I struggle to know what is coming and therefor pacing myself. Thanks

Hi got a kickr bike a couple of months ago - I think it’s generally great but it does seem to be lowest power figures of any trainer I have had - I suspect power is reported at the flywheel and so the belt drive losses come off the total unlike a quarq or stages for instance- what do you think now you have tried it a few times

Kickr bike looks the business but I think I'll be sticking to my Kickr trainer until the price gets a bit more realistic.
I cringe at using wifi for a swift race. Cat6 cable all the way!! But I do know you can't connect a cat6 ethernet to the new Macs too.
