If you do not see an improvement, shoot a shotgun. Semper Fi The GUNNY
Been following great lessons and practicing, as a new student of gun safety and utilization. Your regimental comments are just like playing a musical instrument. Learn, practice, repeat, and on….
i was pausing and paying attention to where he was putting his hands, this really Bob Ross'd it for me, best part i was doing the same exact thing with my piece as i saw the video. the difference in grip is amazing. this comment here is best description of what to do for good handling.
Lenny's grip demo was very helpful. I never realized I was gripping my weapon all wrong. When I tried it his way over several days, my control over my (Glock 19) has improved dramatically. I realize this is breaking a lifelong griping habit, so I will continue to practice. Awesome!
Lenny is a fantastic teacher/instructor! Lenny, your videos (and I've watched every one I find)are so informative and entertaining it's like having a personal coach who really knows his stuff.Plus you have a super professional voice. You truly are the "Glock-Meister"! Please keep the videos coming, and Thanx!!
I like your videos, Lenny. I realize time is money. So I appreciate the time you take (away from your normal money-making activities) to give some good heartfelt information to your viewers (for free!). I never feel like you're trying to sell me something. You are consistent and genuine. Thanks!
awesome video!! thats probably the best tip i have had so far. new shooter here...and i haven't heard anyone address proper grip like you did! thanks a ton!!
Small adjustment, huge results. After applying this technique my dry fire practice has gone from ok to virtually flawless. (I watched it 4 times) The front sight only moves when I want it too. The grip feel so effortlessly secure that even one handed there's barely any movement. I'm anticipating major improvements on my next visit to the range. Thanks!
Best grip video I have seen. And I have seen a bunch of them. The main hand beef being aligned with the bone and the spine of the frame is a great tip. Even a bit to the left, cheating. I was doing it all wrong - while trying to hold to a death grip, I had misplaced the butt of the hand way off the spine of the gun. Thank you so much.
That is a very good and clear explanation of how to grip a pistol. The information about the part of the hand to have the stock resting on reminds me of a video Jeff Cooper made in which he said to use that part of one's hand also. It certainly is better than having it in the crease of one's hand adjacent to the thenar eminence.
Wow! To be a GLOCK operator is not an easy way to be... Because of the people always trying to put you down. TKS for you support Lenny! Cheers from Brazil.🏴☠
Awesome. Just got a pistol..no instructor...so I'm watching videos on how to grip and my stance. I don't want to learn wrong ways of doing things cuz I have a hard time breaking a habit. Good or bad. Learned some good things here. Great job. Nice video. Earned a new subscriber
Thank you very much for all the Info..I really look forward to one day visiting you're store, pick up all the accessories for my Glocks! I live close I'm in the San Fernando valley..soon hope to meet you in person
Thank you! I learned what you taught about my left hand from a CCW class I just took, but we were told to put the left thumb on top of the right thumb rather than leaving it on the left side pointing forward. Can you advise me which is a better thing to do with my left thumb? I was also taught that wrapping the fingers from the left hand around my right hand's fingers makes it so my gun does not pop up nearly as much when/after shooting! And wow, it feels MUCH better shooting that way! Again, thank you!
For 23 years I've moved the rear sight to the right, on a Glock. I watched this video, then put new sights on my G17, guess what? I no longer shoot to the left! Thanks for the video!!!!!
Wow. Had no idea glockstore owners were so good with video production and content. Then I saw they've been shooting (shooting) video for decades. Amazing. Good job to the marketing people, or Lenny and Tammy since they seem to have marketing in their blood!
Perhaps mentioning a "push-pull" isometric between the strong hand and the support hand when pointing in would add further stability to this excellent grip presentation. I like the idea of 'pointing' with your thumbs so long as it is done in a manner that does not reduce the amount of under-frame grip support of the support hand. Thanks Lenny.
James Roache Push-pull is an attempt to use the grip of the pistol as a lever to fight recoil. The problem with this idea is that recoil is an energy, and energy follows the path of least resistance. If you use the push-pull, your firing hand is applying more resistance than your support hand, which will cause the gun to recoil up and toward your support side. By having even pressure on the sides of the grip by using your pec and deltoid muscles to apply inward pressure, the gun will recoil in a straight line.
Nice video! I pretty much use that grip on all of my handguns except my Glock! I have a Gen 3 Glock 20 and the grip is so big that in order to reach the trigger, the meaty part of my hand only makes it halfway around the backstrap. This isn't as big a deal with two-handed shooting as it is with shooting one handed, though. It kind of makes me favor my Beretta 92FS for carry rather than the potent 10mm Glock.
Once you get your one handed grip set and lined up with the bones in your arm how do you keep that alignment when you add the second hand and present the weapon? I find that my right wrist has to be bent when I lock out my arms and aim. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?
Ok, so should I lock elbows or not? I've seen a lot of people shooting with elbows bent, managing recoil during rapid shooting like a spring. It's obviously working for them but there is a lot of poeople reviving this techniqe, claiming it's incorrect. Any advices?
+TheCHris8726 Whateva works for ya, pal. Personally, I prefer to lock my elbows, but like I said, if your technique works for you, & not against you, then use it.
Lenny I have some question for you. Where did you learn that grip? Did you learn that grip from Glock manufacturer? (Professional people from Glock). Thanks.
being a competition skeet and trap shooter and big hunter, I've never been able to shoot a glock or any handgun accurately at all I can't hit shit, and I really need to shoot accurately for my CHL
My Arex zero 1 shoots extremely accurate when I shoot carefully, and take my time to aim and control my trigger finger and things, but when I shoot fast, I can't hit a 12x12 target at 7 yard....
The problem with your thoughts on grip position is the same thing on a golf grip. When you have big hands like you do, it is easy to place that meaty part where you demonstrate. Where I disagree with you, when you have small hands and short fingers the difference in size is huge
people with small hands should not follow his advice. I have shot my G17 for 8 years shooting low left because of this placement, a lady with a lot of instructor titles has a G19 had me move my hand over to what Lenny called incorrect position guess who now can hit dead on. Still will buy from GlockStore but people come in different sizes.
Every time he pointed the gun at the camera it looked like he was gone shoot left never looked straight could a been the angle of the camera man I guess

You’re goddamn right
As a new shooter the tip about lining up the grip with your forearm bone was extremely helpful. Significantly helped reduce muzzle flip.
Clearly, Lenny enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge. God bless him!
Keep em coming Lenny. We are taking notes and soaking it up.

How could any one dislike this video?? This guy is great!
Yea but he's explaining about accuracy... Lol then again, they probably shoot with their eyes closed.
Yea he's great
They probably sell S&W
Stumbled across this and I was pleasantly surprised with the video, it was very enjoyable and you broke everything down well.
Love these videos from this instructor, not only does he explain it in detail but also shows everything in detail.
Thanks, Lenny. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

One of the most professional and extremely likable person I’ve ever seen. 👍👍👍👍
Great review Lenny. Excellent and professionally done as usual. Thanks for taking the time to educate me.
probably the best explanation I've watched on grip.

Thank you for this video, sitting here with my piece and practicing and wow the difference in how well it feel in the hand is amazing

I really enjoy watching your videos. You are very well spoken and informative Lenny.
really great video. helped me so much with my accuracy. just moving my right hand on the spine of the gun made all the difference. Thanks Lenny.

Been practicing for 30 yrs and that’s a perfect explanation !
Thanks so much. I am a new Glock 20 SF owner. It is my first handgun. I can see how much the little changes in technique make a difference.

glock is made to point straight in an physical way....this is a great explanation
Lenny has such a great "TV" voice.
Or radio voice.
I'm all about the info, but his swag is on tilt... Swag on my Glock brother.....

That finger pointing explanation is great!
Wish we got some footage of Lenny poppin some shots at the end! Overall A+
GREAT instructional video. Thank you!
EXCELLENT best instruction I have ever seen
very informative video, two thumbs up sir lenny
Where's episode 2?
How can I watch the other videos of the series shoot fast & accurately?

Awesome video, the Paul Gleason of firearms!
very awesome helpful tip! thanks so much for posting this video !!
Excellent video
Lenny is seriously ... the man
Can a gun be to big for your hands ? Thanks you have awesome videos
Awesome instruction
Great video. How many times have we seen folks ride their thumbs all over the slide. They should completely clear that slide.
Once you get your one handed grip set and lined up with the bones in your arm how do you keep that alignment when you add the second hand and present the weapon? I find that my right wrist has to be bent when I lock out my arms and aim. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?
Can I use this technique with M9 Beretta ?
I need to know what belt he is wearing. Anyone?
Thanks for the work. Appreciate it.
what are the kill house walls made from??
Just one episode?
Great video.
What is the intro song? It is the same as the Title menu for World of guns: gun disassembly
Great explanation!!
What is the slide on that glock... it's so gorgeous
Great stuff. Thanks.
I already knew how to grip my gun no offence but can you make some videos showing off cool custom glocks like 26gen4,30sf,exc

thanks, great advice
Great video brotha! I learned something new!
great info
Great and thanks..
Lenny I have some question for you.
Where did you learn that grip?
Did you learn that grip from Glock manufacturer? (Professional people from Glock).
Thanks.
That is the grip that should've used with all semi auto pistols
+Creepy Cooter Aren't you supposed to be on demolition ranch lol?
What camera is used to film this @GlockStore? Please reply. Thank you.
+Wise Burger (Eradicate) Picture looks like a Sony A7s or similar.
Lenny is the story book voice of guns
good grip intro
Good stuff
great video
Nice Video. 👍
How to put the drop in the bucket.
🤣for real tho, cool show and thanks for giving info without being obnoxious.

awsome video i too learned a lot
Left hand finger on trigger at 5:11 or so
You're a moron & a safety Nazi, nobody likes you.
That grip technique looks familiar
Omw to try this today I always used death grips with both hands 😂😂
A hundred and fifty years later we’re getting back to “an idea” to POINT SHOT !
Next, a technique to focus on the THREAT and keep peripheral vision !
Guys ripped!
good way to get slide bite on your hand, unless you buy an aftermarket beaver tail.
really guy -___-
pro,damn.thnx for video
His voice sounds alot like some ones voice we should all know.......
Hi . Im Lenny Magill and you might remember me from such shows as.......
I bet the way he grips his fork and steak knife is accurate also!
The problem with your thoughts on grip position is the same thing on a golf grip. When you have big hands like you do, it is easy to place that meaty part where you demonstrate. Where I disagree with you, when you have small hands and short fingers the difference in size is huge
Why do you wear your battle belt backwards? Drives me fucking nuts!
That was a near-perfect instructional video.
3:57 YES point the gun at the camera man
people with small hands should not follow his advice. I have shot my G17 for 8 years shooting low left because of this placement, a lady with a lot of instructor titles has a G19 had me move my hand over to what Lenny called incorrect position guess who now can hit dead on. thats why he said "it maybe a little diffrent for you", paraphrasing.
yup grip the pistol from the back not the side
Every time he pointed the gun at the camera it looked like he was gone shoot left never looked straight could a been the angle of the camera man I guess
