Man, Kaiju Number 8 is great, and Kafka is a great main character. I was thinking recently about the new generation shounen like Kaiju, Dandadan, Gachiakuta and Sakamoto Days and I think their biggest appeal is the fact the protagonists aren't chasing to be the best of something, they're just living their lifes and dealing with the problems that come to them. Also the fact the support characters are also great. Protagonists must be charismatic and an exemple to follow, but they don't have to solve EVERY situation like other older anime/manga.
They remind me of Ichigo. He gets complaints as a mc because he "doesn't have a goal", but I like that it's not as simple as wanting to be the best or a leader. They're mcs who were given or achieved great power and all they want to do is protect their loved ones and live happy lives. While I wouldn't necessarily say it feels realistic, but it feels a lot more grounded and easier to connect to them.

I never understood why the instant fear from the squad their suits are literally monster taxidermied monster muscles and nerves that they have to sync their nervous system with. Their design literally mirrors #8's, they even have matching dorsal spines
He was "One Punch Man" for the whole show, what you mean? He had 3 big fights as a Kaiju before this, and the only one he didn't win with one punch was vs Kaiju No. 9 (which is understandable). He's been coming after Saitama's title since DAY 1.
Man, it's like Attack on Titan and Guyver were merged into another anime series with a dash of One Punch Man. The Japanese always knew how to portray the explosive superpower in a battle.❤

Weird how the manga and anime were able to convey different feelings when kafka gives the side eye look to the cap. Manga gives the feel like hes sad but anime gives off as being tired

That's why airbursts have an optimal detonation height, based on the strength of the bomb and the desired effect on the target. If it goes off too high above the ground, the blast will lose too much energy by the time it reaches the objetive, minimizing the damages (but affecting a larger area).
I was a Firefighter in the Navy and had to study about Nukes for Advancement Exams. They were detonated in Air not for the Blast Radius, but for the spread of Radiation that would wipe out people, plants, and animals. The Main devastation from a Nuke is the Radiation and how it makes Land, Water, and Air uninhabitable for YEARS, depending on where it detonated and the Height of Detonation. Either way, this explosion was WAY bigger then a Nuke...........

Because the author wanted it that way. And maybe because jumping would be like throwing a punch, while using thrusters is more like pushing. Which makes a bit more sense considering it's a big unstable bomb he didn't want to destroy but to push away.
