I know that not everybody can afford an online course, but I hope that the fifteen videos in the Shadow Work Playlist will support the next steps of your shadow integration journey.
I created this free playlist to function like a crash-course on shadow psychology with the intention of being as accessible and actionable as possible. I didn't want to stash the basics behind a paywall or email signup - I would rather you keep learning right here on TH-cam.
You can instantly access over five hours of beginner-to-advanced shadow work exercises and lectures with the free playlist linked in the description.
Make sure to take your time with the guided exercises, and don't forget to buy the golden books.
    Jordan
    P. S. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to this comments section community. My channel is niche, and you've seen the Inner Work Library slowly expand over the last two years. I feel fortunate to receive such deep and genuine connections online, and TH-cam recently told me that there have been more than 4000 unique commentors across my entire channel.
Thank you for showing up, I appreciate you.
If you want more depth, we can meet inside the library:

Honestly, I feel a sense of fear watching your videos. It shows me the depth that there is yet for me to reach and truly puts my feet down to earth regarding my inner work. I started watching your videos two years ago, when I was 15, and I feel like your content is very beneficial. In depth explanations of things I could not yet find the words to express. I admire your work and sometimes I can not even believe how much deeper it can get. I am honestly scared of the darkness of integrating my shadows. I practically work on it, but your videos are always a reminder to avoid superficiality and dig deeper. Not only your videos, but also seeing your daily life on instagram opens so many doors of possibility for me because it shows me that purposeful living is possible, even though I am surrounded by people who just do not get it. Understandable on the one hand, but many times I feel like an imposter, mostly because of my age and therefore limited access to people who talk in depth about inner work and spirituality.

What I appreciate about this video is that you’re demonstrating processes that some might believe requires 3rd party hypnosis or NLP to initiate.
By nature I’m incredibly contemplative with an active imagination (strong only child trait?). I found my Self entering these conversations as I began healing, before I knew what I was actually doing. A video like this would have been very valuable to help me make sense of what I was unearthing during that time.

These are always strange videos to film because I can’t fake ‘beginner mode’ very convincingly and don’t attempt to… but I hope that the direct-image symbolism and subsequent language breakdown are still useful for people 😅

I love the mystical stuff. And it's extra daunting. Adds so much to it, and a lot of unnecessary weight. It's nice to hear it put practically. It's somehow much more magical. Thank you.

Your perspective is very beneficial, making active imagination more practical and straightforward. I liked some of the precisions on inner visualization. Thank you for taking the time to do this video, I found it useful both as a youtube user and as a course participant. The deeper and wider knowledge from the course combines very well with this short series!

Just the right words that I needed to hear today. I already use this technique, whenever I notice, that I‘m about to get some food although I‘m not hungry. I learned that my overeating problem usually starts, when I swallow my problems - then I also swallow a lot of food. And talking to my inner child helps me a lot to find out what it really is, that I need (or need to do instead) in those moments. But as funny as it might sound, I never tried this technique with other things I struggle with. No idea why, since I know the technique and alredy use it. Now that I watched this video, I just sat here like ‚Oh my god, of course! Why didn’t I think of this before?‘ Thanks for the eye opener. 😅

It’s been a pleasure to have been useful for you, James. Going deeper with me in the course experience is a great idea, especially at this time - I find that people are in heightened reflectiveness and transformative potential at the end of years / beginning of years (cliche as it might be, there is more time for reflection and introspection, for sure) Looking forwards to seeing you on the inside and answering your questions in video format inside the student Q&A 🌲

Hello Jordan, I sincerely hope all is well in your life.
your videos are a true inspiration, and lovely to follow, you teach it very well, and I am able to follow without being lost in words.
    As it has structure.
And I feel inspired to explore my journey of inner work.
May I ask you some questions?
What does it mean to have a shadow entity that is of opposite gender?
For example your maiden entity, what does she represent in you?
    Where do they come from?
And if I had a shadow entity, that is the opposite gender, why would that be?
    Who would it be?
    And what examples are there?
I am new to this, and feel very eager to learn.
this is the first I’ve heard of shadow entity.
Thank you, for your time and videos 🌲

Great questions. You'll love the book Invisible Partners by John Sanford - it answers all your questions in much greater detail than I could in a single comment. Really the best place for me to direct you, and likewise thank you for being here and commenting so enthusiastically! The books recommended in this playlist are really the absolute best to go into for free, and my course is likewise rigorously structured if you want some shortcuts and real clarity.

I feel appreciation at your answer and direction on where I can start.

This is a great point, not letting ourselves to swept up by their wisdom or their darkness. This, also reminded me of the point Robert Jhonson was making in his book that these entities might wanna take over in certain encounters by asking to have one of our belongings. And he was talking about the instance that happened to one of his clients. A woman was working with one of the archetypical figures, a wise old man. As she talked with this wise one she was intrigued to give her keys of some sort. Eventually, this meant the wise one to take over the driver's seat. And then of course she needed to go and take back her keys and the situation was resolved.
So, this story sounds a bit fear-provoking but it can be a useful point to think about. And funny, although I forgot about this story I had a very similar encounter with a little one but I see the point in this story that encountering a wise one might feel as if that entity is smarter than you and knows better. I feel like these encounters are a bit next-level. So I was a bit afraid of exploring the archetypes after reading this story in Robert Jhonson's book 🥲

    • @jordanthornton
      @jordanthornton  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Really beautifully written comment here, and yes - I know the hesitancy with those certain possession aspects, but it's really not worth worrying over if you feel generally stable and resilient. Keep going!
