  • Having trouble following the directions at Positive Gride to get your Spark 40 connected to Studio one? Sometimes a visual walk-through is just what you need. A TH-cam user asked me to show them how and I obliged. I hope it helps. Below are the links to the directions from Positive Grid as well as the link to the Asio driver (Spark USB Control Panel).

    excellent, you hit on both, the no recording with input and the monitoring with headphones questions I was looking for in a short to the point video.

    This was very helpful for me as I couldn't clearly obtain all the settings that you provided to make it work from other references. It works!
    I did no additional changes that I'm aware of but have like a chorus effect added the signal is completely changed when I tap the record button in the upper left-hand corner for the track. That's my next goal it sounds great clean but it's not what I want on every track and don't know how to control it. Maybe that's the stereo output effecting it?

    • @Guitarnivore
      @Guitarnivore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That may be a setting in your DAW that's doing that.

    ...ya know, I tried to use the spark in my DAW. But, there were so many technical challenges getting the audio into the DAW. I find it so much easier to just use the headphone jack out of my spark mini straight into my Audiobox and ALL problems are solved. I believe the ability to use the Spark as an interface is as a last resort in the face of NOT having an interface.

    • @Guitarnivore
      @Guitarnivore  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In all honesty, that is the easiest way to do it. It seems once you start getting into USB, then you have latency and any other technical problems, inputs, outputs, etc. If I ever use my Spark for recording, I'll do the same. I do that with my Boss Katana and run it through a Behringer DI box to level things out a bit. I honestly don't see the advantage to recording through USB. The only reason I made this video was because it was requested. Thanks for commenting!

    I just fired up presonus after not recording for a while. fired it up, followed these instructions but no matter what i do im hearing my guitar twice while recording and its throwing me off. but when i hear the play back, it only recorded one guitar and it sounds fine. i cannot for the life of me fix this and its driving me insane
    edit: after not being dumb for 2 seconds, i realized i was monitoring on the same track while i was recording so thats what was causing the "doubling" effect. to turn that off, simply hit the monitor icon next to the record button on the channels

    Thanks, Question: I'm trying to connect my phone bluetooth to the spark which I can do normally without presonus on. This way I can feed drumbeats from youtube into the amp while I play. It works flawlessly. However when I try to record, the phone doesn't have any sound. Since my drumbeat from the phone and my guitar are combined going into the grid, I dont see why it can't feed into presonus track?

    • @Guitarnivore
      @Guitarnivore  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be because the amp desables certain things when it's connected to a DAW. You might want to ask around Reddit and see if there is a solution.

    I'm hoping to do this install this weekend. Once you do this install, is Studio One now on your laptop? Or can you only access Studio One DAW from through the Spark software? Thanks
