I’m not surprised you didn’t run up Parkin Clough. Too many tree roots to avoid 🙈. John Kelly must be part machine. I followed his progress too and was in awe of his achievement. I’ll be happy just to walk the Pennine Way, let alone run it!
You really knocked it out the park with the last two videos. Covered a lot of ground, sights and sounds of the Peaks and Dales. With you working around Ambergate you might want to head off up and around Alport Heights. A lesser trodden non Peak District area that is peaceful with a lot less folk with stunning views all around it. Has been our favourite lockdown strolling ground living close by. Belper bike barn might be of interest as well - at the Tannenbaum Campsite, Belper Road, Alderwasley. Cheers

I was born in Sheffield and lived in Dore for 30 years, spent many weekends on the train from Dore Station or the 272 bus to the peaks to climb, hike and camp. Thanks for bringing back so many memories

That's where I first heard of John too, finishing the Barkley Marathons is a momentous achievement in itself. It's certainly an elite club of runners, all with a bit of a screw loose 🤣
@@DeanRead Aye, absolutely mad - like the grand rounds thing he did last year - I'm thinking of doing the charlie ramsay round this year but I'm not really fit enough -- maybe just walk it over a few days instead.
I was looking at the Ramsay Round when I was up on Ben Nevis last week, like the idea of a multi day backpack adventure on that or the Paddy Buckley / Bob Graham.
Your run was impressive but John Kelly’s is staggering. Good job he had a tracker for confirmation. What an achievement! Thank you for your efforts on the video.
