I thought it was just me, ha haa. I had tears in my eyes just reading the report yesterday. Then i watched the film barkley marathons: the race that eats it's young' & i was even more blow away by what jasmine had done. Absolutely incredible.
An absolutely unbelievable achievement by Jasmin on top of her fantastic Montane Spine win…. I just hope she gets the ‘main stream’ recognition that she deserves, this is historic! 👏👏👏👏

Im dealing with sciatic nerve pain so this keeps me hopeful that ill be back racing soon.

That's all, no modern gadgets allowed. It's an insane race distance with the elevation of climbing Mount Everest twice and the navigation task to find 9-15 books as checkpoints in the wilderness.
I tell people all the time if you don’t know this race look it up and you will know how amazing it is to have finishers. And now the first women finisher just WOW.

AMAZING! I was so stoked when I read that she finished that I yelled out loud and woke up my GF. She was sour for about ten seconds, and then was almost choked up (She's a runner, I am not really, compared to her)... This is a wonderful, historic moment, not only in ultra running, or on running, period... but in sport in general. Paris has done the hardest possible thing for any person to do- the barely possible. (I'd like to think I know what that is like, in a completely different context... Not that I've done any like THIS!) I've texted my nieces (and nephews- I don't have kids of my own) and asked them to check it out. 😂☺😊😌 This brought tears to my eyes, and absolutely made my day!
I'm surprised Courtney Dauwalter's never taken a shot at Barkley. But huge congrats and massive respect to Jasmin Paris for an awe-inspiring run. The women over here on this side of the pond are going to have to up their games to keep up with you Brits!

I had a sciatic nerve issue about 10 years ago. My left leg is still quite numb down one side!

Yeah, definetally watch the documentary, it shows how truly epic this race is. Not a single runner finished it the first years.
It was impossible for years. The course is slightly easier now. By impossible I mean impossible. GPS has helped as well
