I like how candid you are as well as your perception. I'm not a big fan of L4D styled games, but I'd like to support you and your team so it'll be picked up!
I know it didn’t say it was Steam Deck supported, but I was able to play at about 30FPS! The resolution scaling lets it work at all, but the hotel internet is making anything but solo play tough. I am liking the game!
I love and grew up with both left 4 deads. I have my complaints for Anacrusis but only because it just needs a little more polish. All it needs is a little bit more realistic/dynamic npc animations such as the infected, and the music cues for the special infected/aliens. Besides that it’s a 10/10.
Idk if it's the same on Steam, but on the stores I sell on the sale page is sorted by discount percentage. So with a 75% discount you get on the front page and get a lot of exposure and thus sales.
The main problem with Left 4 Dead inspired games is that the people who like those have already played Left 4 Dead. If they released Citizen Kane today, people would say "wait, isn't this just a shot-for-shot remake of Citizen Kane?" Even if a game is *as good* as the game it's inspired by, it's never going to be as popular because some people already got their fill. So it kind of lives or dies not on the content that's in the game directly, but on whether that content inspires people to make their own custom content to keep the game going. And with modding content there's the problem that you only really get the people who are both willing to learn how to make games and also willing to not just make their own game. You can attempt to make that group bigger by fighting all three of the things that are stopping people from being in that group. Is the game not good enough to attract players interested in modding? Make the game better. (That's a simple instruction, right? 😜) Are the tools so arcane that people are being scared off by them? Better tools. (This is the angle I seriously need to attack in my game.) Are people who have the skills required to make maps just not motivated to do so? Competitions can help with this, but I really don't know a good solution. (There probably is a good and difficult one, though.)
i think how much you have limited modders has kinda killed alot of interest in modding it. I'm not gonna mod a game that the devs for whatever reason decide who gets special access and etc. Its either give to everyone or give to noone imo it just builds a extremely cliquey and elitist community

What? Everyone has access we haven’t stopped anyone it is just we are not allowed to make it an open download. Did you ask?
