    This is the first time I have seen anyone on TH-cam measure pull on a flipper (my favorite type of edc blade). Nice added touch.

      Great thanks it's a measurement I've been doing for some time as another piece of information for folks. Thanks for the comment.

      Nice I think I'm the only channel that uses the trigger pull gauge. Glad to be of assistance 😊

    Really like that Medford made a more EDC friendly knife! Looking forward to what else they come up with!

    I remember us briefly talking about this guy on IG. I actually really like this....now I gotta look into getting one. Now that push button lock I LOVE! I bought a Milwaukee knife from home depot years ago and fell in love with the button haha. I never saw another until now but then again never really looked. Well, this is added to my list!

    • @BladeBanter
      @BladeBanter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah there are a few out there, also the new massdrop protech (although warranty not the same) Freeman Outdoor, Spartan has one. Oh and Medford will have a larger coming at some point.

      @@BladeBanter spartan? That's awesome! I wouldn't mind getting ahold of one of their blades. Protech is an awesome knife company

    I have this knife & really like it. I do wish it would flip as easy as the CRKT you demonstrated, though. Nice review!

    • @BladeBanter
      @BladeBanter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate it. If the flipper tab was just moved up slightly it would improve greatly.

      I love this knife. I broke the law and took the clip off myself, otherwise I would have had to send it to Medford. My favorite EDC, small, very fidgetable, strong, and love ergos. The pecker could have been a little bit longer, but not a deal breaker (that's what she said).

    Sold me a tighe tac two also! edit: very glad to hear they are making a bigger one! Very interesting knife! Great work, Greg.

    Good reviews as always. Would’ve like to see how it came factory sharp. There’s just something about it that makes me hesitate and I don’t know what it is even though it ticks a lot of boxes.

    • @BladeBanter
      @BladeBanter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and that was the factory sharp I tested it when I first got it in. Could do another.

      @@BladeBanter no, that's my stupid auto correct. I meant flipper. I have been thinking hard on getting a Medford. This might be the one. Haven't decided yet. I like the beefy offerings, but the thumb slide opening is kinda meh for me.

    I love the trigger pull gauge test you do. Would you consider doing a video testing some of your favourite flippers with it and showing the difference between different flippers?

    • @BladeBanter
      @BladeBanter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah do you have any in mind that you love?

    • @symplesy2056
      @symplesy2056 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think some common good flippers are zt knives, they always have pretty decent action. If you have one, a skaha 2 is pretty much the best action for money in a knife i've seen. Or maybe a ferrum forge with the hoback rolling detent. and of course your personal favourites would be pretty nice to see tested in one video. the best flipper i've owned was a q36, back in 2013 when they were still available for purchase without getting ripped off. @@BladeBanter

    One thing that is very important that you missed. The blades on medfords are all freehand ground.

    • @BladeBanter
      @BladeBanter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is probably something missed. Would need to go back and watch it back I think I touch on the grind lines but not the Craftsman of freehand sharpening.

    • @BladeBanter
      @BladeBanter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you love it then it's something to save up for. There are some used models that are hitting the secondary market. Also if you buy any other knives, many times if you went through your recent purchases you may be able to get one.

      Blade Banter I spend $300 in a blade but have to put a limit on that for my own sake especially since u can get all the goodies a blade can offer for that price and under than I feel like I’m paying for name recognition like the Doug Ritter in g10 with an upgraded axis lock and m390 steel for $152 that’s more my style fantastic price for one of the best locks and steels money can buy

    • @BladeBanter
      @BladeBanter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah Hogue seems to be doing very well with their iteration of the axis lock.
