A little bit, there are tons of good deals out there. I wouldn't get anything older then 10 years. I've seen quite a few sleds for sale that are 5-8 years old for under $2500. I would always do a compression test on them, sleds tend to lose compression over time.
In that case you might need to get one that needs some work. I see lots for sale that crank but won't start. In that case as long as the compression is good its most likely as easy fix. Usually a gummed up carb or bad spark plug or its not producing spark which could be a stator or something along those lines. All pretty cheap and easy fixes.
