- Leaving from Ushuaia my parents and I traveled on the maiden voyage of the Ocean Victory with Albatross Expeditions. We visited South Georgia, chased the solar eclipse, and stepped foot on Antarctica. Also made friends with so many amazing people who aren't in this video enough.
This needs WAY more attention. Commenting for the algorithm gods.
Incredible shots. What a cool trip!
Thanks for sharing 👏👏🏔️
Wow thank you!!
Thanks for the video, Daniel! I came to your channel from the 'SLC map explained' video, I loved your visual style and educational/storytelling aspect immediately. This video radiates great travel energy so it goes to my "Good stuff" playlist. 😄
Aww this means so much! Thank you!!
Incredible shot composition and colors
Wow, thank you sm! 🙏🏻
seeing the little guy tumble at 16:52 was probably the cutest thing i’ve ever seen oh my lord.
Such a fascinating landscape. Almost desolate, yet life prevails. Really makes me wonder about the ecology of that place.
Did you see any human pollution/waste on the shores?
I had no idea you did this. So amazing! Again, your channel is freaking awesome!
Stunned by how much beauty can be captured in 1 video 🐧❄
Thank you sm!
Is there a president of Antarctica. I'd like to nominate Daniel Steiner for Secretary of Antarctic Tourism. This belongs in a museum. Can I buy this as an NFT.
Hahaha sold!
Just stumbled on the video. A bit confusing at the beginning. You said there's no people on South Georgia while filming clear signs of human habitation and what looks like a manufacturing/ processing plant, lol.
It did force me to do additional research, which is never a bad thing. There's a small research "population". I guess sort of like Antarctica.
Nice video, excellent shots of the seals.
yeah, mentioning the whaling outpost would’ve been good. Great video though.
I found this video while researching for my trip to Antarctica and South Georgia this past December. So crazy to now watch it back and recognise all the places you’ve been to. We sailed on the ocean victory’s sister ship, the ocean albatross. Best place in the entire world. And you captured it so well. :)
Thanks so much for this fabulous video - I was looking for info on South Georgia and the Ocean Victory - so this has been so helpful. Now I'm super keen to book :)
I’m so glad it was helpful! I hope you have a really great trip
Really enjoyed your video. Nice mixture of wildlife, scenery and the ship. I'm going on the Ocean Victory this Dec/Jan for 20 days and can't wait. Curious, what is the name of hat your Mom is wearing?
Thank u so much! I’m excited for u! And idk lemme ask her

Awesome video!!!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻 Ur piano playing is the best part
I would have been rocking the Bjork tunes
I would say you had it pretty good compared to Shackleton
Those seals are so cute
I heard it was very difficult to board a civilian expedition to Antarctica. How did you get the opportunity here?
Edit: Amazing footage and editing, all of it. Professional as hell!!
just got to the penguins, would also like penguin photos
Even if a polar bear is starving and her cubs are starving and near death, she will never kill and eat a penguin! Do you know why?
Why?
Never mind, I googled it 😊
I think it is because you can't go from top of the map to the bottom like you can do from left to right... 😜
Did they ever fill the hot tub??
🐧🥰
cool ccol
If no humans have ever lived there, then how did the seals construct all those buildings?
he should’ve said permanent. People use it as a whaling a post when the oil is being used to light lamps and make perfumes and all kinds of stuff.
What month did you go? I'm going in Feb! Scott
I was there in December! That’s so fun that you’re going!
I would like several framed photos of the seals for my birthday in 4 months, thank u
🤝🤝
This is not your first video on your first channel isn't?
I mean, acing the vlog presence and pace with documentary style videography on your first try is "surviving in Antarctica" difficulty.
What camera did you use?
I shot this on the Sony a7siii!
Did you take part in all the zodiacs
Yeah! They used them to get us too and from the shore. And a few times we rode them around just to see the wildlife!
Awesome! Btw my ig is disabled, can you give me your e-mail? Xoxo
very cool! next time invite us!
