    Glad to see this is can be done without removing the soft top. Great Tutorial, thanks!

      @raybjr - Awesome, thanks for watching, I really appreciate it, and glad that you found it useful. Yes, you can totally install these speaker pods without removing the soft top completely, or even having to put it back. Plenty of room in there to do the install.

      That’s awesome! So glad you found the video useful! The way I record them is from a point of view of knowing nothing… so if I can do it, anyone can do it! Good luck with your install and hope it all works out well.

    Finally did mine today. Went smooth as silk just the way you said it would . You were right about the sound very big diffrence especially if younsit in the back. Honestly i dint think the forscan tweak is needed. I will see what happens in the summer when I take off the top. One thing for you hard tops like me. If you have a 4 door you do not have to remove the brackets from the roll bar. You can keep them in place and just remove the screws from the bracket were it connects to the speaker. And i cheated, i did not solder . I biught a pair of plug and play connectors from amazon which worked fine. Thanks again!!!

      Awesome! Glad the install went nice and smooth for you! It really is a pretty straight forward installation and it does make a nice difference. With the soft top, we’ve had it fully back and you can notice the difference.
      Again, thank you so much for the support. Really appreciate it! Till next time…!

    Take a look at MTI acoustics as well. Their rear speaker pods and front dashboard speaker mounts are absolutely spectacular.

      Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. I saw those MTI Acoustics pods and also the SSV pods as well, but just wasn’t keen on the obvious ‘round’ shape of the speaker back there. I like the subtlety of the hidden speaker and the OEM+ look of these Mabett pods, personally. But there are definitely options out there to suit all tastes.

    Do these speakers add some more bass to the sound stage? or does it just add more volume with clarity.

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They absolutely do add some bass to the sound stage, along with volume and clarity. Now, it's not going to be like adding another, or a larger subwoofer back there, but the difference really did surprise me from such a simple mod.
      Hope that helps.

    Great video! Very helpful!
    One question though. Looks like you had the same "Mabett Aluminum Trunk Grocery Bag Hooks" that I have and they don't fit on the new speaker pods. Any suggestions for hooks that fit with these pods?

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @mwiewel - Thank you, I appreciate it! Ha, good eye, and yes, unfortunately those aluminum hooks don’t fit in the same space after installing the pods. To be honest, I rarely use the hooks so didn’t worry about putting them back in place.
      This was a lot more useful for me when I did it. th-cam.com/video/MelitoB77DI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dMMsSvrx6lKSWGqH

    Another great vid. You would think with the B&O system you wouldn't have to change the speakers.I have a hard top and I understand access to the two T30 bolts on the bracket limited. Not impossible. ,but hard without removing the top. U like the Jeep the speakers are so far behind the driver that i have to wonder if its really going to make that much of a difference. Another Mod that Im considering. I had the dash speakers changed,and i also had the subwoofer installedx( see enfig car stereo,thats my truck he is doing) .thanks again for another great video

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much, I appreciate it! As for access to the bolt, I can see it being more challenging in the hard top, I was lucky, I can pop up the back of the soft top and it gave me a lot more access. Now that I've done these speakers, I am seriously considering working on the others as well! We shall see!

    I’ve seen videos that state I need to use Forscan or bypass the systems amp and add my own to improve sound. I have the B&O system and rear speakers have very little signal or sound. Will adding just speakers help. I’ve been seeing conflicting info

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @TinboatTom4528 - If you have the non-B&O system, yes, you need to use ForScan to unlock the best sound from the speakers. If you have the B&O system (you mentioned that's the one you have) then changing things in ForScan doesn't make a difference (from what I have read).
      With that being said, having upgraded the speakers and the pods on our B&O system, there was a noticeable difference in sound. You can actually hear the rear speakers now and differentiate between them a lot better. You can hear a lot better at a lower volume, and you do get a decent bump in bass as well.
      I hope that helps and thanks so much for watching, I appreciate it!

    Awesome video. I have the upgraded stereo as well in my outer banks, but I think I’m going to do the rear speaker change. Does it make that big of a difference?

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally, I think that it does. I sat in the back of the Bronco when I had only installed on of them. I could really tell a difference. Especially going from a 4" speaker to a 6.75" speaker too. I think it was worth it for sure. The pods are on sale with 20% off right now: amzn.to/412PLz1
      Then you can choose whatever speaker is your preference. I chose what was recommended most on the Bronco6G forums. Hope that helps.

    Ok, i got the speakers and the pods today, i put in thr sound mat but here is my question the grill that comes with thr speaker is the same size as the speaker were as on the grill that is the pod cover alot of the speaker is covered by plastic with no holes to let thr sound tbrough , so does that impede the sound or should I drill some holes in thr pod cover to let more sound through? Thanks

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. I’ve had no issues with the speaker pods impeding the sound at all. I would recommend installing them as is and listening to them. If you feel you are missing something, you can take them off and drill holes as you desire. But I would test them as they are to start with.
      We noticed a nice difference in sound over stock. You can actually hear the sound a lot better back there now. Hope that helps.

    • @CUPRADESIGN

      Yes, you can install them on a base speaker package, but to get the full advantage of them, you’ll want to make some minor adjustments in ForScan.

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@willb.9225 - If you have the B&O system like we do, there isn't anything you can really do in ForScan to make a change. As I understand it, you only need to do that if you DON'T have the B&O system. So I haven't messed with ForScan, and can't give you any solid advice to you I'm afraid. ForScan unlocks some of the limitations of the signal to the speakers as I understand it, only on the base system.
