Or the Faster way is just Duplicate the Footage, then RightClick>Modify>Interpret Footage> set it to the timeline Framerate.
Then you finally Interpret the footage based on its frame rate calculation to the timeline sequence framerate rather than conform it via speed duration.

Hey Daniel, nice tips in this video but if I could perhaps make a suggestion: it would be worth explaining to the viewer that the Canon r6 writes 1080p/120fps files as 30fps files, otherwise it might be quite confusing as to why your title mentions 120fps, but the examples you're showing in the video are all in 30fps.
Also, why does the r6 do this? Why doesn't the R6 just show the file as being 120fps? it gets quite confusing to tell the difference when glancing at my clips in the file explorer as to which is regular 30 fps, and which is actually 120>30 converted slow motion.

Hi Usman it’s a weird quirky thing they did. It slows them down to 1/4 speed. For 100 FPS it works fine since that is 25. I have a separate video explaining how to properly edit the 30fps from the 120 to 24. But I agree it would have been nice to have just done that in camera for us. ;)

@@DanielWhiteWithCanon Thanks for the clarification. Yeah I mean it just so happens that my video is going to be 30fps anyway, so I don't need to further interpret the footage to match the 24fps sequence. But yeah, bit of a pain!
Also a bit of a pain that I can't actually see a preview thumbnail of any of my files on my PC unless I drop them into Premiere first. I'm coming from a 70D so the H265 files are a killer lol. Makes it difficult to sort through and delete any unwanted footage before importing.

I’ve always wondered how you got your slow motion to look so good! Very interesting to see the work behind it

Does the Canon R6 record sound while shooting at 120fps? Does the AF dual pixel works?

really good information you gave us there, thank's a lot! it's not that important, but quality wise it would've looked better if you had rendered the side by side comparison and showed us in full quality than 1/4, other than that, great presentation.

How to mix 24 fps, 60fps and 120 fps

Do you mean how to mix them in post or how to change them in camera. I have a video about "mistakes while editing 120 FPs on the R6". If you type that in you shuold get a video that will help you out.

@@MrIowahawks77 Well I recomend watching this video th-cam.com/video/8pJnbXJ42Fc/w-d-xo.html then putting your settings to Eye AF and shooting at a low Fstop with proper lighting. Then maybe looking up a single point lighting set up. That should get you going full speed in about thirty min then practice.
