So excited by this video- but Im super confused bc my R6 menu doesn’t look like yours! Not sure what I am missing- for example I dont have the zebra stripes option, and my Movie rec size options are on menu page 9 not 7 like yours. When I go into movie rec quality I do not have the same options either. What am I doing wrong😆
Hey Anjeanette the video recored quality settings is controled by the PAL or NTSC options. Other than that I am not sure what is up with your camera maybe it needs a firmware but I am not sure.
@@DanielWhiteWithCanon oh man I was just messing around and figured it out! I thought the red record button was a sort of short cut to the video section- its def not DUH me hahaha. I had the top dial on M, and was accessing video via just hitting that red button. When I turn the dial to the video/film cam icon its a whole new world- everything you described is there and your instructions work perfectly! I make short video/slideshows for my senior photo clients and there as just really..meh. Boring, shaky, out of focus, etc. ( for example: th-cam.com/video/pN-mrocRVhQ/w-d-xo.html ) I got the new R6 in hopes of training and practicing to get better results. And then proceeded to use it incorrectly since ha! So glad I found your channel- easy to follow and very helpful. Thank you for the content and for your reply!
Hey FotografMartinF Just don’t have the Digital IS on if you know you will have really shaky footage like walking. It will cause the video to be jittery. It hardly effects the IQ though.
Thanks! I have realy enjoyed shooting all of these videos Just wish I had another R6 to shoot them with! If you have videos you would like to see just let me know.
So do you have to convert the files before importing to premier pro? If so? How? I dont find any good way of doing this, premier wont take my files, c log files”....
Hi Elliott. This could be so many different things. Proxies, update Pr, clear out cache, reinstall Pr. Bottom line you have an issue with Pr unless it’s 4K clog then you need to use proxies.
Thanks for this. I was having trouble placing my 120 in a 24 fps and having it not choppy. I’ll hv to try to reduce it to the 80% and not to 10% which I thought was the proper conversion.
Can anyone answer me with confidence that when you are shooting 10 bit color space when you are shooting in 1080p? I know with the Eos R there is a prompt to switch between 8 bit and 10 bit and I assume that naturally it is 10 bit on the eos r6 but still can't see it in the codec. Anywhere.
If I had a penny for every time I heard "buttery smooth" I could probably afford an R6 by now! lol
Yes Usman let the buttery smooth flow through you 🤣
At clog settings i also recommend u to put BT.2020 colour 😉 and to download luts from canon website.
Can we record 100 fps with audio? Or does it record only in s&q video. Jow to record with audio if you know?
No audio unfortunately
@@DanielWhiteWithCanon useless infront of sony's 100 fps with audio 🥺 damn. With such aprice and no audio? Can't believe
@@DanielWhiteWithCanon it has autofocus in 120 frames
I can see you have the same problem as me with my R6 I recorded wedding slow motion in room with no day lights a noise is terrible ............

@@AnjeanetteIllustration I’m glad it helps keep up the work and it will click.
Thanks for useful info. Just getting started with my R6.
You had digital IS on, is that recommended or will it make the image quality worse?

Nice one bro. Just got the R6 too. Looking forward to battle testing it. Keep smashing it 💪🏻

Thank you for the help! The settings were what I needed for my project. What video editing software are you using?
You are welcome Robin. I use Premiere Pro. :)

One of the clips was in 24 frames can you guess which one it was!
Does dualpixel work in 120 fps?
Off the top of my head yes.
Buddy you really need to get your focusing straight! :) Anyway, great info tho, keep it up!

R6 Clog is in 10bit and any normal shooting modes are in 8bit.
@@DanielWhiteWithCanon that’s what I thought! Thanks for reassurance. I normally shoot in 4K but have been messing around in 1080 slow mo with clog!
Ive only 100 fps. Where is 120 fps? :)
You need to switch from PAL to NTSC I have another video on it.
work on the quality of your video before publishing it.
