i use planta initially but i find apps make it more difficult for me personally in my plant journey!!! i feel like it’s easier to just check soil and try to keep a schedule for when you do certain tasks... it was really helpful when i started though!! will definitely try that plant ID app you recommended ❤️❤️

As I only grow orchids, I use an app called OrchidAlbum ... I don’t do watering schedules ... my orchids are in self watering which helps a lot! The rest is on a plant by plant basis ... great video! Excellent subject and thank you for doing the leg work! 🌸
I'm late to the game but will defenitely check that out. I foster orchids that belong to others, and need TLC, then give them back to their owners. Would be nice to have a self watering system. Greg is my fave app, the watering schedule is pretty accurate and changes depending on other peoples input too which is cool. It's similar to Planta but find it easier to use.

HousePlants Delights Ahhh it has gotten massive! Apps are a great way to keep profiles on all the scientific/common names of your plants with a photo too! Hopefully these work well for you 😊
Kathi's Projects I agree, PlantNet is my favorite because I can just snap a picture of a beautiful flower I see when I’m out on a walk and it ids it for me right away!
I'm trying some now because I have too many to keep track of. Planta, PlantIn, and Greg. So far I think Greg is my favorite although not free. Planta seems nice but I don't know how accurate it is. It tells me all my plants are my patio aren't getting enough sun and they get morning direct sun and its open so its basically all windows. It also has some REALLY wonky times. Like if I listened to their schedule my plants would be a wilted over crisp. Things I waster several times a week says leave it alone for 2 weeks. But I am still going to give it a try and see which I like best. But pretty sure its going to be Greg which is new.
KV's Plants & Orchids definitely give them a try if you get overwhelmed and let me know what you think! They’ve been so helpful for keeping track of all those plant names I forget!

I love Planta. I have even sent them a message to add a plant. They emailed me a few days later to let me know they had researched the plant and added it to their database.
Try searching for plant watering reminder apps and see what’s available in your country! They all have a similar set up so hopefully you find something!
Could you possibly post a link to the Planta App? I live in Europe and sometimes finding apps in the euro app store is bizarre. The Results I get searing on my own don't seem to include the Planta you are recommending but a different app of the same name with way less usefulness
I use blossom, since it has a free trial I registered all my plants at once and then cancelled the subscription. I can't add any new plants now but the app is very goood...

Great info , I never use app for plants but definitely handy . If I were to use it mainly to know the name of the plants and the cares . This was a good idea. I'm not into apps for care, but I've been using PlantNet for over a year, more so for outdoor plants, & it is very useful.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy S21 or above you can identify plants without an app. The phone has a feature that will identify just about anything.
