    I have 3 plant apps, plantIn,plantum and picture this. I tried all three on a young mango tree and the only that got it was picture this..i did another on a very very young mother of thousands with all three plant apps and picture this was the only one that got it right.
    I highly recommend picture this.

    THANK YOU FOR NOT BEING SOFT TO THESE SCAM FRAUD APP creators
    Publish their names and crap products
    which can mislead younger people to pay for their junks

    I loved this thorough and funny walk through of these app options. thank you for that, i am now a new sub! I like that you didn't want the ones that cost money either haha! I'd love one for mushrooms/fungi and also more on the bird apps too 😀

    Your assigned winner the “Picture This” app is only free for a limited time period - so what do think, should it be disqualified as well?

      Right, a 7-day trial.

      most of the plant identifiers have this type of system...Picture this is worth the price, they use their own custom in house AI which has a much larger database then most of the apps. Not trying to come of shilly, but it's incredibly accurate for taking care of your plants. Just dont go foraging with any of these apps or you'll die.

      I’ve had it for over a year, still free. The paid version has a 7 day trial. Just click the “X” at the top of the screen when they pop up the premium thing. It’s dim, but it’s there.

      @@RuskiVodkaaaa Thank you, I watched this just to see if I should keep my Picture This account even though it's 30 bucks a year. You helped me decide, sounds like it's worth it! But it does sometimes mis-identify which made me wonder how accurate it was on things where I didn't know for sure. Sounds like it's the best option for now.

    I know this is like a year later, but while I do like the video, taking an out of context photo of a leaf isn’t really how most of these plants are designed to work. For example, there’s no scale when a leaf is isolated like this. A better test would have been taking a photo of the whole redbud tree and comparing them all that way.

      there is no way to identify a plant disease with picture, a fungus or scorching or too dry air can look exactly the same, let alone in picture any parasite can look like a black dot that might as well be dust. a google search of what the damage of something looks like on your type of plant is more helpful, then you look for cures

    if you dont try the ones that cost money how will we know if they are better than the shitty free ones?

    • @moplantdaddy
      @moplantdaddy  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I didn't test the ones that cost money, because there are already so many free plant identification apps. I have personally used some of the paid apps before though. None of the apps (including paid ones) are 100% perfect, but are useful in giving you a starting place for plant identification. There is no use in paying money for a plant ID app when you can get the same service for free
