Warcraft 3 Reforged supposedly will alter the original Warcraft 3 campaigns, so let's blast through Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne on Hard difficulty before Reforged is released! These videos will contain all cinematics and dialogue along with explanations of the strategies I'm using as a semi-walkthrough.
I am nowhere near as experienced with these maps as the StarCraft 2 campaigns, so it won't be quite as polished of a playthrough, but we will succeed through Hard difficulty nonetheless! - เกม

As much as Garithos is unlikeable in general, that initial banter he had with Balnazzar makes him sound so cool. Too overconfident for a human taunting a demon, but sounds cool nonetheless.
how much you wanna bet if garathos survived this mission he would have done something to cause the dwarfs to abandon him as well or caused a war with the dwarfs as well

Yep, that's what he deserves. Best part is, he hated the Elves and died due to the actions of an elf in the end. Gotta love that irony.
But he was one of the funnest warcraft 3 characters ever. Sad to see him go RIP you will be missed

And that was the point where Garithos (and player) learned in hard way about why faction he serves is called ALLIANCE - without dwarves, Garithos would be even more shafted than he is without elven priests.
I always thought the reason Garithos was extreme towards the elves was because the Dreadlords ordered him to get rid of them.
Like they could have detected the mind control or were immune to it, or some cool shit like that.
But nah, Garithos was only made to be a MacGuffin. A plot device meant only to drive the story, no real effort put into the "why".
Still the funniest character in WC3, voiceactor really sells it.

The background is that during the war with the orcs the high elves were supposed to guard the lands of his family among others and failed. Garithos thought that they just didn't care since its just human settlements. Ever since, he hated high elves.
Hmm, like are you saying he had to have a legitimate reason to hate the elves? Like he couldn't simply be a racist? That would probably be too much of a stretch for you, not that people like him exist in the real world... -_-
You are one of the best WC3 players I have seen. I played these maps before and each take atleast an hour if it includes you making your army. But you finish these in less than 1 hour, kudos to you
Sylvanas, the Queen of the Forzankens.
A trick i used for this map ~ was from the Map prior . You can get staffs of teleportation from the shop. Than at start of map i teleported over to humans and ran all 3 heroes around like a boss unit teleporting them as needed to bases.

Why is this so funny to me?
I hated this mission because I'm really bad in controlling 2 different factions at the same time. It took some time for me to finish this on hard but eventually I made it. I never got the idea of bringing over Frost Wyrms to Garithos.
tell me about it and using cheats doesn't really help since it has no effect on your allied units

as cool as it is that you can only kill demons in the Twisting Nether, it reeeeallly sucks all the impact from all the Sylvanas missions in TFT. They basically retcon her from being powerful enough to outplay the dreadlords, to having been played by the dreadlords. And then they made her into the creator's pet and retconned her into having simply allowed the dreadlords to play her because she was 500000000 steps ahead of their game of XD chess, but we don't talk about modern lore.
at least its functionally the most interesting mission in all of warcraft 3, besides the wasted potential that was UD03. if only that wasn't so easy you hardly needed the camps.
Indeed, Varimathras being a traitor was an interesting angle they took for a Dreadlord, and they totally ruined it.
Honestly I take Warcraft games as their own thing. Wow is just that sequel nobody asked for where they ruin every single character in order to beat as much money out of them as possible. Arthas' ending was so perfect yet they just couldn't let it be
Before the Legion started using Argus' soul, it probably took a long time for a demon to reconstruct their body, so, although not permanent, killing a demon is already a significant victory.
"New thing bad, therefore not canon" is probably one of the most childish thing I've heard from this fandom, and that's saying a goddamn whole lot.
I mean, I would get really depressed if I were a long-time Warcraft fan and suddenly orcs stopped being literal demons from Hell and started being aliens who were being manipulated by other aliens, but most people (besides some guys who hate WC3 for ruining Warcraft lore) don't care about that.
Also, Curse of the Forsaken's story is garbage, frankly. The creator probably spent so much energy into building the actual campaign that he didn't bother to write anything creative.

@@grantarmstrong9648 tbh demons canonically cannot be killed by normal means. If Warcraft mortal really wants to kill any demon, they have to travel into Twisting Nether, because killing them in corporeal realm only banishes them to that domain.

@@RebelWvlf But at the time of Balnazzar's death,that lore hadn't been established. It may not have been a retcon because they added lore, rather than changed it, but it certainly took away the tension and weight of Balnazzar's death,
Holy Light to damage your own Undead units is impossible. If you target your undead unit with it, a message will only say that you cannot target this unit.
Those 2 orange Undead bases are separate teams. The editor has triggered one of them or both of them to use color orange, and also have the same Player Name. I really need to check this map on the Editor.
So I guess in Garithos' book the only good elf is a dead elf?
But then it'd become an undead elf which is now his worst nightmare

This is great, the birth of the Forsaken, the birth of the Inhuman meme, Garithos is dead because of his big bad mouth...priceless and poor dwarves. Its the end or start of the undead civil war?
Not that it mattered, but that Mask of Death was completely overridden by Varimathras's Orb of Darkness.

Instead of Varimartras, if it was Balnazzar or both attacked Sylvanas base in chapter 3 then history may have been different...
Varimathras didn't trust his brothers enough and he believed he could take care of Sylvanas himself.
He should have at least asked help from Detheroc then maybe Garithos' Brainwashed forces would have been enough to trample Sylvanas.
It was arrogance that made the Dreadlords vulnerable. Varimathras underestimating Sylvanas. Balnazzar was clearly toying with the allied forces. He could've attacked with his full forces on one of the factions to crush them before they gained ground. Detheroc was the only one who didn't fall due to arrogance and he was basically caught unawares by Sylvanas' sneak attack, crushing his forces before he could retaliate.
Balnazzar always struck me as the leader of the trio, but according to wow.gamepedia (which in turns references the Arthas novel), it was *Detheroc* who was the leader, and with Detheroc getting such a singular redesign in Reforged, I wonder if they're going to swap Balnazzar and Detheroc's roles for the remake of this and the previous missions.
Balnazzar was the most powerful of the Three still.
Detheroc is more of a Mental Manipulator.
Balnazzar (my boy :D) was always considered to be the most powerful atleast according to how it went in WC3...I mean he WAS the largest and the last to be killed for good reason. I think WoW stupidly retcon lot of things, including that Detheroc would have somehow been the leader.

Multiple Rains of Fire in the same area do not stack unfortunately...
What happened with alliance troops after Garithos' death??
There are a couple possibilities but no concrete answer, as far as I know. One likely possibility is that Sylvanas had them all executed and raised to bolster her forces. Some of them likely fled to the Eastern plaguelands and joined the Argent Dawn, later to become the Scarlet Crusade. The dwarves might have been so bold as to flee south to Khaz Modan and Stormwind (which I believe has been rebuilt, but that might have been a little while after the fall of Lordaeron). Again, the most likely answer is they were just killed by Sylvanas and raised into undeath.
I don't know why but I like this older version more
What happen to remaining Garithos forces after this battle? I'm assuming there were almost none left...It seems like Sylvanas basically used Garithos' men as meat shields...
Yup. They were a means to an end. Garithos' men probably bore the full brunt of Balnazzar's Forces as he's the kind who'd rush his enemies through brute force. Sylvanas then assaults on the other side and flanks Balnazzar's Forces. That's how I did it. Led the attack with Garithos' forces then use the Frost Wyrm airforce I made along with Sylvanas and Varimathras.
Garithos having almost no troops left when I beat this level while I had a handful of Frost Wyrms.
I know this is such a weak/newbie question but how do you get a peasant to build multiple towers at once? Thanks in advance.

I wonder how Loyalist Elves from King Arthas feel about Garithos.. ? I wonder why after the blood elves left why didnt Garithos consider transfer and redeploy those loyalists elves into his forces for assualt on capital city...

Those Alliance high elven loyalists weren't with Garithos in the first place, Those remaining high elves joined the Kirin Tor or went to Jaina Proudmoore in Theramore island and some of them later joined the Scarlet Crusade as rangers.
I feel like Human faction has the one of the most prettiest color in the game which being that blueish silver...

Garithos was level 10 against you and 8 now (and prolly the same happened to Varimathras although I didn't check), that sucks.
Edit: Damn Death and Decay just destroys, couldn't you silence the Lich with Sylvanas?
I played it recently and I gotta say, getting the Staff of Teleportation from the previous map really made this significantly easier. The Undead attacks against Garithos can get really annoying at the start but having Sylvanas Charming units or silencing heroes to stop the ultimates significantly improved it, and it also allowed me to creep the whole right side of the map and get almost all upgrades before Balnazzar attacked for the first time (while completely destroying him since without his four Infernals he's just a sitting duck). There's also some merit to tp'ing Varimathras to the human base since Vampiric Aura helps heal the Knights while you're attacking Green.
I don't consider it cheesing because this map basically tells you to use the Staff since you can buy it on both Goblin Laboratories, same with giving you two items that allow you to teleport units to where your hero is (obviously amazing to send in a bunch of Siege Engines to the middle of the enemy base).
Overall I'm not sure I'd judge this map as one of the hardest ones in the Undead campaign, since I think The Dark Lady can be more punishing if you don't get a strong start. The attacks get pretty constant but it's not to the level of Varimathras sending dozens of Necros and Meat Wagons for a huge flood of SKELETONS!!! to your small base. It might be because I struggled more in that mission to get to that sweet spot, but in any case both are very distant thirds from ASoFaF and King Arthas.
In summary, a really enjoyed this mission with the new take after two very annoying ones, which kinda reminded me of the three Quel'Thalas missions. The only thing that saddens me is you can't get Gryphon Riders fsr, even after you saw one in Garithos' base in Dreadlord's Fall. They're such amazing units and you can only train them in Frostmourne, that sucks.
Edit: I totally missed the stash that was protected by the Flesh Golem and gave you a Crown of Kings and a Ring of the Archmagi damn, those items would've been great. Now I have to play it again o.O

I don't understand why the Lich King didn't just regain control over Sylvanas and the rebel undead the moment he merged with Arthas and regained all his power.
Good question....I think it was explained in the lore somewhere how Sylvanas made sure that would not happen, but overall its because of WoW and what it required in terms of lore that many "logical" things were just thrown into trashbin....like for example why the hell would Sylvanas and her Forsaken join the Horde, let alone get accepted there by Thrall, especially when Sylvanas still had Varimathras, a freaking demon under working for her...
Honestly all of that happened only because WoW required 4 races for each side originally, lorewise it didnt make any freaking sense that Forsaken would be part of the Horde.

This one is really hard.
You need to protect both base well, and the human base is hard to defend before side quest.
