If I had known this comment was going to get attention I would have put more effort into it 😅. That's the only place I can think of that actually burned. Thank you for your channel! It is the main reason I've stayed invested in WoW as a franchise.

Shadowlands trailer was revealed in November.... What place was burning alot during the month prior ..... Goldshire and the most holy of places in Azeroth The Lions Pride inn by the Headless Horseman.

Still wish the Taking of Undercity from Wrath wasn’t taken out. Maybe as a scenario that could be started in the Seat of Knowledge like other scenarios.
Yeah, but they'd still have to dig up the old Undercity, which is the reason it was taken out to begin with. I don't see them making the effort for an over a decade old quest.

freezaplanet419 They had to redo Eastern Kingdoms to enable flying in Cataclysm. The person meant pre-cata Undercity

Don't you realize how much "digging" they had to do for Classic, though..? There's a reason it was in DEVELOPMENT, not just a copy-paste client. :D And WotLK Undercity isn't quite like Vanilla either. Like I said, it wouldn't be too hard but it wouldn't be worth the effort for a single old quest either.

He did quite a lot wrong. Could have accomplished his goal without making himself look like a huge threat and burning everyone to death and turning people into Demons. If he just told us there were Old Gods screwing with Azeroth and helped us kill them everything would have been fine. We didn't even need his help after-all so imagine how quick it would have been if he did help. He must have wasted so much time and magic fighting wars of eradication on planets that probably would have did what he wanted if he'd just not been a big evil Demon Guy raining fire all over the planet.

Old gods were corupting azeroth
When titans realized that old gods corrupted too much and if every old god dies Azeroth will die
So they decided to imprison
Since azeroth was counted stronger than sargeras and if it will be Void titan it would end universe
Sargeras feared this so he recommended just kill every sleeping titan but pantheon said No
So ye
This whole game is about communication problems. If characters had an extra line of dialogue between them that conveyed actual useful information it would all look very different

This made me miss legion.
By the time of the Nathrezim’s campaign quest in 9.1 there are just too many things that don’t make sense, i mean it’s clear that the jailer created the lich king and now we also know that the Nathrezims have always worked for Denathrius and so for the jailer, so why would Balnazzar, Detheroc and Varimathras wanted to kill Arthas and destroy the lich king, and why Arthas convinced Illidan to kill Tichondrius?

Im still pissed about how horribly wasted he was in legion. And his voice acting got such a downgrade.

"I'm always on the winning side." Was always my favorite line of his. It's so badass. He's either boasting his cunning in allegiances or boasting his power in saying his side wins simply because he is on it.
I would love if he said something hinting at the jailer.
@Ryan W That was the part that got me the most about it, actually. He's been tortured for years, is barely alive - and still isn't broken, is still a nasty asshole to the Shivarra, still gives the players premonitions that haunt them even YEARS after the fight. Imo it was done pretty well.
I wouldn't mind if shadowlands has small references to the legion,titans and old gods but I really hope the main premise is separate. The whole theory about the jailer being a dead titan is interesting but I really think they need to expand the story beyond that we can't keep having every expansion be " it was titans/demon/old gods the entire time"
Can't we, though? Because every expansion has been that. Literally every single one. It works as long as they're writing it competently, but that particular department has been lacking lately...
@@RileyRivalle2 but how long can they keep that going? The Titans are sealed away and The old gods on Azeroth destroyed every question about them has been answered. To just jump between those two every expansion will get very old. WoW lore is great when there is speculation and mystery. Even if we encounter new old gods it wouldn't interesting because we know they are just parasites instead of these unknowable ancient beings that exist outside the cycle of life and death.
@@DagothDaddy we still do not have anything about the shadow lords. We have seen a few of them and we know the old gods were sent by them... but they are the evil the burning legion wants to stop.
I feel we need to talk about them rather than the old gods strategies.
@@AnthonyJClink I get what they where going for with The void and everything but it's just not very interesting. It's mostly just The Fel but purple and gooey instead of green and on fire
Well thats sort of the lore from the Warcraft books. All of these fundamentals are what give the world its structure. Hell the void itself connects all of the Blizzard properties together to make the Blizzard Universe. Or if you don't count Heroes of the Storm the it still connects Starcraft and Warcraft since the Dark Templars and Void Elves both use the power of the void.

This made me miss Warcraft 3 and its awesome storytelling and voice acting.

Leave it to Nobbel, on making the story weave nicely together, while keeping to the real Warcraft cutscenes/cinematics. A true fan of Warcraft

i used too love seeing him wipe alliance raids in the undercity.
i really hope they bring his story back into the game. the dreadlords were really cool

Blizzard’s writing has definitely gone downhill significantly over the last decade. They went from writing investing story arcs with compelling antagonists to predictable and dull plot lines with fan favorites just whacked with the villain stick and turned into cartoonishly incompetent baddies.

And this is why i changed from Horde to Alliance, after the world event during WOTLK (The Battle of Undercity) my leader Varimathras died.
To avenge him and help him reclaim his power, you secretly sneaked into Alliance that will in the end be the primary enemy of Sylvanas.

With the book found one might think that Varimatras has left the path of the Dreadlords which could mean a deeper story for him.
Though the chances for that are small I would be super hyped for him to actually join us.
A weird question,if he was tryin to summon the big boss in undercity without books or wells or anything,does that mean some strong dreadlord can go in some corner noone cares about and summon sargeras or an army without a care?

when it comes to the burning legion I do believe we will be seeing them again in the future. Nearly every dreadlord we have known throughout WoW died on azeroth during legion. They had to have gone back to the twisting nether and are still alive. Archimonde will also likely come back because despite what has been said he never died in the twisting nether. He died on alt draenor. Even the mythic only phase that isn't where he dies. He dies in the cinematic that plays upon his defeat.

Cautiously optimistic is my approach to Shadowlands. Try not to hope for anything, because that's just more potential for disappointment. Wait and see what the alpha and beta brings. I'd even advise you not to preorder if you haven't yet.

Remember that time when Sylvanas was an anti-hero but still had honor and love for her people? Or when Kael'Thas was a good guy? Good times, WoW butchered the best characters. . .
I think you're giving Sylvanas a little too much credit, my guy. She never truly cared for the Forsaken - they were merely 'arrows in her quiver', tools to be used against Arthas. Even when she strove to secure their survival, it was only in order to prevent her eternal damnation by having them be her 'bulwark against the infinite'. And even if she really DID care about her people's future, I don't think that absolves her of the callous and brutal actions she committed during Warcraft 3 - wanting to protect your people is good, but not if you put everyone else on the chopping block to do so.

He voluanteer to help humans reclaim Lordaeron and was misstreated abused and almost executed by Marshal Garithos, he only wanted to help his people, so he indeed took help from Vashj and joined Illidan. He never did a selfish thing as I recall, and Blizz turned him into a comical villain, who's evil for sake of being evil. . .

Sure, she wanted them to protect herself, but it's obvious she still cares about the forsaken. Then BtS happened and that all got thrown out the window.

I feel like they used the titan soul to resurrect demons that died in the twisting neather or areas infused with fell. That's why despite killing so many on Argus, they would keep poring out of antorous. Then any that don't die in those areas just resurrect like normal. That's how I like to think about it.

Hey man I doubt you will see this but I thought something while watching your latest video. With the upcoming shadowlands expansion isn’t it very likely that the jailor is linked to the old gods or even the void/ shadow itself. We don’t know how long sylvannas has been in contact with him so isn’t it reasonable for her to have been in contact from the start. She is the one who is pivotal for ruining many of the burning legions plans. She has powers which no other banshee has, I mean she literally possessed her dead body and has been able to sustain it completely and then she starts using shadows itself. She has been in contact with the jailor since her death and has no doubt planned many times to free him or further his influence. There is so much that his involvement in her story would fill.

I wonder how Varimathras would interact with Nathanos. Him being the love interest of Sylvanas while Varimathras was with her from early on. He would probably troll him by saying "I know her better then you ever will. All those years of going over plans, among other things. She has a lot of spirit that one." He'll probably come back if the fans want it enough, Blizzard already ruined the lore with Light Undead so having a Dreadlord soul in Shadowlands wouldn't be too much stretch nowadays.
Nathanos already has been with her for much longer time, he went to the Undercity in Cata so it's like 5 expantions compared to 3 with Varimathras

@@Amandor2011 True but Varimathras was with her when she was at her most vengeful. Nathanos knew her when she was alive and mellow and from Cata onwards when she became what we know her as now. The time when she and Varimathras were partners was when she was at her most raw, who knows how many plans they made together before his betrayal. Varimathras would use that to troll Nathanos and his love for Sylvanas.

I use to love Sylvanas. She was so strong and willing to do anything for her new and old people. I know she's got a deeper plan to mess with the jailer but... I dunno.. her evilness has just gotten too evil
