The Wide Open Life .....hahaha, not now but back in the day the navaras we're rebadged Datsun 720's. There were also early patrols getting around with Datsun badges and decals, so us yota lovers like to give a bit of a "poke in the ribs" about their heritage lol.....the Gu 1 & Gu 2, 3.0l were designed by Renault, not sure after that as I no longer took an interest in anything Nissan ,one of mine was2000 k's past warranty the other ,a gu2 was 5000k's past warranty,NISSAN Australia said STIFF. so I had to pay the full replacement bill for both, ....so a tad upset...he'll yeah. OH well am over it.nearly the weekend, have a great one mate, and if ur heading bush keep safe. 😎👍
Loaded dog haha that sucks - the Datsun 720 wasent that bad - I know someone white a paddock bomb - 430,000km and still hasent blown up although e has turned the injector pump right up
You're so lucky living in Aus being able to drive to the outback and cut / collect some firewood. If you did that in the UK you would get arrested for theft.
Yeah its not quite as easy here as Graham makes it look, there are a very limited number of spots in Western Australia that are tightly controlled (amount/how many trips) where you can just 'collect wood' Much the same as you guys anywhere else, land owner would be like, WTF are you doing and either stick a shot gun in your face or a the very least get told to piss off, just randomly taking a chainsaw into an Australian national park and cutting things down you would end up as local front page news & extremely hefty fine.
Yeah it's totally restricted here as well, and getting more and more, can't cut dead trees roadside, can't cut "habitat" logs, can't cut standing dead trees only ones that fell of their own accord. Can't cut in a national park (pretty much any public wooded areas), only a designated zone where every man and his dog goes to cut. Dunno what this "secret spot" is about it looks illegal to me unless it's private and he knows the landowner.
Also in Australia we tend to follow the UK with every stupidity, so whatever you guys do you can be sure we're going to implement it soon. It's like they don't even bother to think for themselves anymore and just blindly copy whatever the UK has done.
