One more question: do you ever find such unground, rough sand in caran d'ache pastel pencils? I bought 15 of these pencils and each one has something rough in it... When I draw, they scratch the paper slightly.
@@telimenaiwanowska-nowak5184 if I get that sort of feel to them... it is usually that I have not cut the glue of the lead when I have sharpened the with a knife.
Absolutely love this video! Came in handy for my current portrait project! Will you ever consider doing a pastel piece demonstrating the techniques behind making metallic or gold jewellery look realistic? I am struggling with it so much
Great suggestion thanks Anishaa! I do mention how to draw gold ear rings in this video... th-cam.com/video/K2TwRQt0z60/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching. 🙏
Thanks for another great video. I learn so much. Too bad I don't have the time now to draw. I need to finish my daughters drawing. It's been a year. What is the colorshaper. Do you have a brand?
exemplary work as usual. do you always prefer using pencils to blend the laid pastel instead of say, stomps or brushes and does it depend on the effect?
Thank you Dimitrios, I am experimenting using the colour shaper more to blend subtle detailed areas at the moment... However, I tend to use pencil over pencil as it achieves very subtle texture... I am always playing with different things if what I just mentioned doesn't achieve the desired result. All the very best 🙏
Hi Hassib... it has been and is still a very slow journey for me too tbh... my advice is just keep producing the videos. Maybe add Narration over the progress too. Love the way you use B roll. I find it best not to have any expectations as this can lead to anxiety if the video doesnt do well. Keep going, study what the TH-cam experts advice us to do .... all the very best to you! 🙏

Would you ever use a white gel pen for eye high lights ?
I have tried the white gel pen before.. rather stick to all pastels. Will have to look into them in more detail. Thanks for the comment. 🙏
