This is so helpful that shows that Section 8 has not stepped there game in years that it causes people to lose apartments more than they gain apartments it's almost like a deterrent yes we'll give You about your But they get the government money that funds for us to get the voucher government's money but we're gonna make it hard for Us to get it or not get it at all ridiculous
And she's right the structure of section 8 that's what I mean by stepping up the game the structure of section 8 is hurting us hurting us So that means there is a stigma there there is she's not in our situation so she doesn't know What we're going through because she's not in it you got to be in it to know it people with section 8 getting ready to be homeless you've got mothers with children with section I'd getting ready to be homeless that was a lady on channel 9 news in Cincinnati Ohio said that such a Negative section 8 is making everybody feel hopeless and homeless
This is what I Hearing from over 20 property owners that did receive section 8 at One time Or consider taking section 8 section 8 don't communicate and they don't pay their bills that's what I'm hearingThat's the truth
Now this is news to me if rent can be increased through section 8 because they're not telling us that this is bull I'm Finding out a lot of stuff really late that's because section 8 but it's under fire that's why all this information is coming out now but it's coming out too late We're being homeless because of no information And it still goes back to what all those landlords told me they would love to take section 8 but section they don't communicate with them and they don't pay their bills
Can you get a higher rent if the property has better fixtures and is in better shape, or it's only market rent that is considered. I was trying to contact an investor in Cleveland and he confused me with a renter. I received a list of properties that were very dated, they really looked bad. Does section 8 qualify the property as well as the market rent?
Yes because the upgrades would allow it, but only if there are “comps” that back it up. However, like a home appraisal, you can state your case to the CMHA official as to why it deserves the amount. You could also just decline the amount and rent to a traditional (non Sec 8) renter. But that’s why it’s so important to work with a good team like ours. We would be happy to assist.
And did they need to make leniency because I've heard of people not getting apartment for was $20 to$10 off that's ridiculous And the market right you have to understand who says that this is the market rate we should always have had capped on renters and that goes to Mike dewine's office our governor if he doesn't put it in the law they can run a monk
It's not telling the other truth you can lose your sexual aid by looking for an apartment and not finding one or democrat agreeing to it and you can lose your voucher that wand now they don't even want to extend your voucher now so if you don't use it in The time they say which is so many months you lose it you have to reapply though
And you all are giving out this information which is good but give us some phone numbers give us some places to call this is all well and good but you're not giving us the context to do it lit
I don’t believe that they have to…however I have heard in some cases they may be able to help. I believe each case is different in how the rent and utilities are paid
I contacted a housing authority office in Illinois and they said yes; this person gave me the numbers for each utility that added to around $300, this amount has to be deducted. Each county office works differently. It's confusing. I know an investor that is getting $1200 for a 2 bedroom where the published rents for a 2 bed are $950.
@@ElizabethGalarza1not in Cuyahoga county where Cleveland is. Sec.8 will pay rent calculated by their formulas, not 100% of rent - the balance will be paid by tenant. Tenants pay their own utilities but water is staying in landlords name and billed separately.
since she said put all the information out my daughter passed in the Army I've given everything and as a mother on section 8 for over 20 years I'm gonna be homeless so how does that sound for Cincinnati you're making a mom homeless and her daughter Has given her life for her country how does that sound I've had my section 8 almost 3 months and no one wants it And you guys are talking about houses we're just looking for an apartment so I hope this isn't a way to Trump up real estate because it's not a good way this is supposed to help us not to help you
Hi, if i put the Mobile Home in the Land ( My Land Property , Not Mobile Park) the Rent is also based in the number of Bedroom or the S8 also consider the Price if I pay for the Mobile Home to be the price of the rent?
I'm not 100% sure but we would recommend talking to your local housing authority. More info can be found here as well www.hud.gov/sites/dfiles/PIH/documents/Manufactured_Housing_Notice-HOTMA.pdf
You're talking about a mobile home which is a different structure than an apartment building so you cannot charge as higher rent as a regular Apartment building Verses a mobile home
@@myrtlemoore7611I’m renting SFR and not apartment and the table of sec.8 depends on bed/bath not type of structure. Didn’t deal with mobile homes but once it has all utilities connected - most likely it will depends on the number of bedrooms and baths
