My wife is from Belgrade so we spend a lot of time in the Balkans. Flew to Banja Luka last year with Air Serbia from Belgrade and as expected Orbx have done an amazing job with the level of detail. It's instantly recognisable and a very accurate like for like representation. I'm a little bit late commenting but I wanted time to enjoy the entire video haha! 56:15 You were flying over DER waypoint which is Derventa, so that river on the left (north) is Sava river. It reaches its confluence with the Danube in Belgrade.
Exits are demolished because Runway 12L is undergoing reconstruction and Runway 12R was made recently so it would be active one until reconstruction is done.

I flew on the ATR42-500 multiple times in Greece and whenever the flight crew exceeded the amount of jumpseats they would just simply block the last two seats on the aircraft for crew by putting crew stickers above the overhead bins. Nice video as always!

So, interestingly the WX worked for me on a short hop from EGCC to EGAA last night. First time I've seen it work in a 3rd party plane. I know however that this apparently works from ground alt and so the pitch and my height was meaningless but was still a nice surprise. Been having a lot of fun in the ATR, even with its quirks! Shame it's not full study level 'cause it's a great little plane.
Also travelled to the Isle of Man on an ATR-76 and extra crew reserved the rear seats IIRC. Thanks for the vids!
edit: also, I highly recommend watchig Fly with Magnar's channel for ATR knowledge. What a treasure trove :)
It's a good plane if you follow the correct procedures. If only there was actually a manual including all those ;-)

This aircraft has something called HOTEL MODE the engine runs without the prop turning i believe.
One small comment. Runway that you landed on is actually closed for renovation. Runway on your right is the only active one right now, and its a brand new runway, less than 10 months old.
mmh, when I checked FR24 before the flight it looked like there were people landing on it. Perhabs a misplacement of aircraft on the map in FR24?

@@A330Driver Yeah it is a misplace, I dont actually see new runway at FR24 at all it looks like they are landing between taxiway and old runway..
But I can 101% confirm to you that RWY 30R / 12L is indeed closed for traffic. LYBE has gone through overwheling number of complete renovations in past couple of years, with 10+ new gates, removated arrival and departure terminals, new parking lots, new runway and new tower 😃
So I would love to see you visit it again sometime when you can in your vids! Maybe when IAEs drop for fenix, as AirSerbia does operate 320s with IAEs
On Flight sim to there's a lybe enhancement with work in progress on the old rwy. Quite useful.
what is your views setup? I have so trouble with external views when I'm using TrackIR..
It's mostly default, I don't really do changes to these things. The walkarounds I do with the drone cam.
Don’t you think the ATR is still underpowered for short rwys ? The acceleration doesn’t seem to be enough. A short rwy take off vídeo would be very much appreciated.
So I work as cabin crew onboard the ATR 72 during supernumeraries we take any available passenger seat for take off and landing. I know for the company I work for at least if the flight is full usually they will postpone the training until the next day if it is full we will know during our briefing if we are able to only do 2 sectors or 4 however I have never seen training done with 2 crew being trained at the same time due to the space limitation.

How would you say the current status is for the ATR at the moment?
As long as you follow the SOP it works quite well. Deviate from it and you can encounter issues. I tend to say that summarizes it.

Hello i have issue with the asobo atr when a i am flying each flight when i use the fmc it become yellow and i can execute it is blocked i see you don’t have the issue if you have the solution thank you very much.
I had that once on an outdated version, but since I updated to the latest from a week or two ago I haven't had it again.

I just don't get it why in so many flightsim products (like the ATR), there are still so many apparent bugs in completely standard operations (LNAV not working properly, sudden VNAV indication during climb etc.) after so many updates. Where is the proper testing?
The question is less where the proper testing is, but more if developers care. Obviously the flight sim community accepts these bugs (or where are the thousands of complaints this should cause?), so devs leave them in and don't spend the time and money to fix them.
@@A330Driver That's really the problem right there. Not enough people want the proper implementations and simply want to hop in something that looks like the real plane and pretend they're flying around in one. It's why most products released nowadays are released as early access and nothing more than a hollow shell of the real thing. Not enough people want the actual systems simulation and the ones that do are often lambasted for pointing out blatantly incorrect implementations of said systems. This ATR is a good example. It should have never been released but it's what we're stuck with because it's saturated the market for ATRs.
@@robbyyant6213 I totally see your points, but there’s that “those who don’t care…”; One major reason why this sim has emerged to be such a “hit”, is that so many casual users actually bought it. Yes, they may also buy less than top notch additions, but in total that is just great for developers in general.
This way, there’s a sizeable market for any tier of creators and customers, keeping the price level healthy - also for most of the best addons. Maybe someone hops in and “fix” the ATR, the way FBW is contributing to default models.
At least, there are more choices in MSFS 2020 than in any earlier version (or competitor). Yes, there’s “noise”, but the opposite would probably be worse in several ways…? 😅👍

I doubt it really, they seem to focus on a modern aviation depiction in MSFS - except for the oldtimers.
I would like for ANY ATR72 that's at least correctly modeled systems-wise. The current Hans Hartman rendition leaves A LOT to be desired.
One thing that really bothers me in the sim isbthe low resolution roads and flat vehicels on them, be cool if someone came up with a mod to replace them with the road textures used here or something similar
I believe there are some mods around for that, but if somebody did some really high res on them I could imagine it to be rather performance hungry.
Once I'm 3 dme i don't bother with the papis or the needles. I don't know how they mess up such a basic and important function of the sim. Papis have been broken since launch. Its been 4 years!!

The VNAV is still bad with this plane
