13:34 This is why I haven’t turned off that notification. I lost track of how many times the game needed to remind me that I have energy to spend, when I rushed to attack.
I was able to put this deck together today and I’ve had WAY more fun with it than any other deck so far! I just won a game facing a Hitmonlee who left my Charmander alive on 10 hp to chase the old amber. I haven’t been this chuffed with myself in a long time. Thank you so much for showing me this!
The problem is you need to onfield Chatot instead of Moltres. Which reduces you energy regeneration. And after you do so much to get Zard running, 1 fricking Mew stops it.
It's crazy to me how many people don't understand how good Chatot is. I try to tell people and they tell me I'm crazy and that he's trash. But when I say, remember how I've been saying red card was trash since day one? Trust me. That normally gets them into the wait and see mode.
The reason that Red Card is trash is the same reason that Chatot is good. 75% the time Chatot's Mimic reads as "un-brick your hand and draw 10-20% of your deck" Wheel effects in any game are usually busted good and its crazy how much I see Chatot being wildly undervalued considering that it's a strictly better Meowth.
After re-reading my comment, I lied a bit. My bad. Week one. Not day one lol. BTW @awyrlas. I try to make similar augments. Though I personally find 2 Chatot's a bit cumbersome for most decks. But as a single card splash, it can increase the win-rate of many already high win-rate decks. And even make some decks that are just slightly unviable because it's too easy to get decked, a lot more viable.
@@wardgoovaerts3922 Always has been. Even though you're reducing your opponents. It's just as likely to give them something they need then it is to hurt them. Think about it. In many cases they will have already played the cards they needed to play from their hand. So even if you reduce their hand size, you're helping them cycle through their deck faster by giving them a fresh new hand of potential. The easiest way to think about it is as a coin flip with 3 possible outcomes. 1 the outcome is neutral. 2 The outcome favors you. And 3 the outcome hurts you. And the less cards in the players deck, the more likely it is to hurt you or be neutral.
@@wardgoovaerts3922 It was considered good for a few weeks, but recently a video by Hooglandia went into detail on the math behind it. Basically, Red Card has a 25% chance of actually doing what you want which is to say that it takes cards away from your opponent. The other 75% of the time, Red Card either does nothing as best or actively helps your opponent find the cards they need at worst. It still has some use in open decklist tournaments because it forces your opponent to play around that 25% chance of being screwed. However, unless you have a bit of luck and can read your opponent like a book, your deck is probably better off running something that nets you more consistent value.
This deck would be better with 2 X-speed and 1 Leaf. Since you can professor's research into an X-Speed and still use it. Chatot and Charmander are both 1 cost retreat, and 9 times out of 10 when you are retreating Moltres you are bringing in Zard for the end game and preserving the 1 energy it has for Inferno Dance is almost never relevant.
Biggest problem with this deck in my eyes is mew ex. It's in so many decks now and so long as they have a mew ex, they can one-shot your charzd. The matchup doesn't matter, since you're only ever KO-ing with charzd.
1:25 "we also have one old amber... To scare the crap out of our opponents because of the whole aerodactyl ex meta" I think ive only ever been relieved, not scared, to see an opponent is on aero instead of smth threatening so this comment in the video genuinely confuses me
It absolutely is “Ch-uh-tot” following the pronunciation of “peh•ruht” but bringing that ruht sound out a bit further. But also, I’m kidding I have actually no idea because following the pronunciation with Chat-ot sounds too coincidental to say it’s not intentional to it character being chatty.
Okay, I can never get Charizard online. The one time I did, I threw the game so the other person could win as they were still working on their green badge.
Exactly what I came down here to comment. I in fact have not been confused on how to pronounce it. It’s pronounce chat-ot. It’s the intuitive English pronunciation.
Most things do have a correct pronunciation and chatot is not an exception. You can look it up if you’d like. Sorry to harp on it but I’m quite peeved by wrong pronunciations.
Two-fold. The first is it is an extra card that you can burn to make Mimic give you more cards since you can't redraw it and you can discard it from the bench if you don't need it. The 2nd is Sabrina protection: if you just have Charmander on the bench with Moltres powerinf it up, then your opponent can't just Sabrina you and force your Charmander up front to KO it.
Mimic or maemec? I don’t know how to pronounce that attack and neither do you. Let’s be honest. However I can pronounce the Pokémon’s name. Chatot. Did I catch you reading that as cha-tot and not chae-tot. I bet I did.
So maybe I'm too harsh, maybe I'm missing something. But him passing on slashing the ralts when he swapped in because he's afraid of 3 EX pokemon he's guaranteed to live an attack from and guaranteed to revenge kill while setting up two back to back crimson storms is nuts. Missplays are okay, we all make them. But that early in the video makes it hard for me to keep watching. (but I guess he got some engagement out of me.)
Mew's Genome hacking copies Charizard EX's Crimson Storm for 200 damage. Funny enough, Mew is probably the reason why Charizard EX's playrate is on a decline. Charizard already has a hard time vs Gyarados EX decks, the best deck in the game currently, now it also has to contend with a 3 energy basic revenge killer that one shots it.
Meta is who has the "best" luck,
100%
Play fighting mechanic with aerodactyl ex and mew and get used to it. U will win Most Games and have Not one Lück reliable card

I think chatot is based on the words chat and a lot so i think its the second option youve bem sayng
The first deck i made with the new set day one was a Blastoise version of this. Did a ten game win streak. Made me fall in love with Chatot.
Just got a Zard crown gold recently can’t wait to use with Chatot
Congrats on the crown and good luck with the games!
@ thanks
The new Moltres promo looks exactly like the regular one. Literally couldn't tell the difference until i saw them side by side.
I've been doing a very similar deck with Chatots, Vena, Seperior. Use Chatots to get them setup quickly
Happy new year man!!
Happy new year!
Wonder if the chatot will scare them into filing their bench against Pidgeot
Genius

bold move to run a moltres in this galavantula economy. dead in 2 turns is no joke

Some of the best cards are basic pokemon. I'm using Psyduck to stall. 60 HP 10 damage and your opponent can't use supporters.
8:23 the plot armor is real.
Haven’t gotten a charmeleon or poke ball 3 games in a row

I can pronounce all their names.
Who says chætot???

Exacto, suena tonto

Can someone explain the purpose of old amber

i also try this with gengar ex and it so powerful
Unnecessary healing before attackinh to one shot is total bm. I'd concede too lol. You arent killing me after doing that.
Try an updated lapras EX, if possible lol.
keep thinking this is FaZe Rain lmaoo
9:30 gameplay is quite toxic, if u immediately hit with Charizard is much better.
I just beat this deck with venusaur Ex deck, idk maybe I'm just lucky. 😅
Makes you “feel” like. In other words, it doesn’t work and is low tier deck. Keep your Moltres as the front runner

Hermano, no des por hecho que no toda la gente sabe cómo pronunciar el nombre de un Pokémon, gracias! Más humildad para la próxima.

Nearly threw the first game by not killing the Ralts and instead rolling the dice for triple tails.
If he killed the ralts he gets one shot by mew.

lol if i kill the ralts i get one shot by mew.... but yeah tell me more plz
Bruh seems like you forgot mew copy attacks, he's cooked even if he didn't swap
You must be awful at this game
