How does one make foreground blocks i to background blocks, like with the ice blocks?
To make a normally solid block turn into a block you can pass through requires some broken track glitches. I know carlsagan42 showed how to do it on the video explaining his hard lock level a while back.

I don't understand anything about this crazy troll. Seriously, how do you make invisible walls that you can pass through and put blocks that disappear on contact and become invisible platforms afterwards?
I have already tried a few times to make invisible platforms, but your procedure has never worked for me. I will never understand this mystery.

Most videos are edited down from longer streams. Not all but most, and some are on twitch and some are on youtube. Any video you hear him mention "1000 likes" means that it was streamed at least in part on youtube. So this was part of a youtube stream, edited down for easy viewing. It isn't a re-upload but it is part of something that you may have seen already.

On a free project where people take months long breaks at times, that number means zilch. Creative juices come and go. Considering the limited size and options of an SMM2 level it would actually be really bad and show the creator isnt very good if it took a solid 3 years to make. The entirety of SMB (And SMM2 for that matter) didn't take 3 years to make being done by teams of professionals working 8-12+ hour days.
Now you consider breaks and the fact that even the best SMM2 creators only spend 2-4 hours a week or so on creating a good level (it gets boring as hell) with several lapses of interest, other projects (including other levels) Real life interruptions like work and family... You can assume roughly 6-8 weeks of actual work went into the project if it had been done at a normal, steady pace.
Long story short. Clickbait.

Why is no one talking about 1:44😭
To help refute the clickbait, saying this took 3 years to create is about the same as saying Grand Poo World 3 took 5 years to make. Or Invictus 2 is 10 years in the making when it finally comes out. People dont work on projects 24/7 or even 8 hours a day like a professional video game builder has to. It's done in small chunks with large breaks. Even the top builders lose interest for months at a time. At a pace of 8 hours a day, both main world and sub world would be full up in less than a month and one can assume roughly another month on tweaking and playtesting. This is about a 2 month project spread over the course of 3 years. So we divide 60 days by 8 hours per day (The amount of time an average person can put into a single task daily) and you have about 20 days of work sitting here. Which is still alot more than the average creator puts in mind you, but NOT 3 years.
Okay Mr. 🤓, most sane people understand that the phrasing “3 years” doesn’t imply having worked on it for a full total of 94,608,000 seconds.
Literally no one would assume they actually worked on it for three years worth of time lol.
