You did it right and very good video, the only reason the D light wasn’t flashing then went solid is you have to do the shifting through the gears a little quicker and keep that quick pace for about 5 cycles of up and down the gears. Awesome job 👍

The others guys use infrared thermometer and measure the temp of the pan. It should be - 104F - 113F and then drain.
That's one way of doing it. If you prefer that method and have the infrared gun, then do that.
Why can't you just put the precisely the amount of oil in that you drained?
@callkey If it was legitimately full to begin with and you haven't lost any oil then yes you could do that and be fine.
