Thanks for joining us! I think the back of my head's on here at one point.
It's got positives and negatives as a run - the hill training is great. It's all paved so can be run year round without problems. And the fact you're doing the same thing 4.5 times does help with pacing - compared to when touristing somewhere without laps, where it can be very hard to judge pace. There are also trees here that may play havoc with your GPS watch.
Anyone who fancies coming will be made welcome - but if you're 25 minutes or under get near the front - it starts on an uphill with very narrow paths and you will lose minutes waiting behind people if you're too far back.

Some parkrun directors will make sure sub 20s head to the front followed by sub 30s etc has your parkrun trialled that.

Thank you Paul, it was a great day - I hope parkrun is back in the not too distant future! 2,100 views can you believe it.
      All the best, Harry

Barclay parkrun is 2 little laps and 4 large laps. Coed Cefn-pwll-du parkrun (Machen, near Caerphilly) also has some cracking hills

Will check it out some day

I lose the will after 3 laps. Thanks for letting me know a parkrun to avoid (even if it fits in nicely with the Pirate Challenge 😂)

No worries Noll S - it was a lot of laps

I did this course in a late Autumn when the downhill path had many tree roots coming through the tarmac, all covered with many wet leaves and debris so that you couldn't see them before awkwardly treading on them, particularly since the low sunlight was randomly flickering through the bare tree branches. It felt so dangerous that I was probably slower downhill than uphill.

Really nice consistency in your pacing! I'd love to get better at that personally, but you are smashing it!

@@nollys8523 I dunno, there's a slight hill on one side of Highbury Fields. I didn't notice it until the 4th or 5th lap...

Winchester parkrun few years back had a winter course that was 6 laps. Felt like it was just around a tennis court 😆

      Amazing Matthew, love this comment.
Let’s set up a parkrun that is 5m and you have to run 1,000 laps

Ever wanna do a video down Southampton way again I created Durley Notparkrun last year. About 50 people done it now and we're on number 60 this Sunday

I did this one last year. I was very slightly late, it started early, I ran off the course before realising (as I was behind the tail walker and hadn't heard the course briefing). Anyway, it's therefore the slowest Parkrun I've done so I'd like to get back there some day and beat my previous time!

Come to Carlisle, the winter course is 5 laps, with a long hill at the end of each lap.

If you get north and Park Run returns try Marshal Lane 4 laps of a park all up and down or Flatts Lane with 2 laps but one the toughest trail Park Runs in the UK. The hill at the end of the flat is a killer, they have out seats in now so you can rest going up it
