    The biggest challenge with this job is with the wiring harness. As mentioned, the wiring harness needs to be disconnected on the one side but what's not mentioned is the cable ties holding the wiring harness in place. I found the cable ties to be a real pain because there's not much room between the engine and the inside fender body panel and at least two of cable ties are down far enough to be difficult to release or cut. I used a long pick to move pry the cable tie clip so they would release but still a pain because of the limited space. Also had to remove the right front wheel and inner fender liner to get to lowest crank sensor connector. Thanks for this video, it will help anyone that's going to do this job.

      exactly. the guy said he took 10 mins? I call BS without breaking the cable ties. some of the connectors are also a pain to get to.
      mine had a oil leak that covered most of the connectors. turn the wheel to the right as mentioned and spray it down with brake clean. do not do it in the garage with the doors closed. all in all, took about 35 mins. don't rush it. last thing you want to fix is one of those connectors getting damaged.

      @@gizmom8353 I don’t remember any cable ties on mine honestly. I bought the car used so maybe the job had been done previously so there were no ties.

    Thanks for the video! It helped me to a point lol. But my patience runs thin wrenching on cars. I got to unhooking the wiring harness and decided to call it quits as it’s just not worth the hassle.

    Great video! What socket size did you use to press in the round gaskets?

      I don’t recall but what I did was take one of the new gaskets/seals to autozone and measured what I needed and bought just that one socket for like $6

    Do u know the head gasket motor bolt torque for an Rdx turbo

    • @TallFamilyFilms
      @TallFamilyFilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      29ft lb. After torque, give the bolt two more 1/4 turns.
      And there is a specific order to tighten them in. Middle bolts first. Then closest to middle going 5 o’clock, 10 o’clock, 7 o’clock, and 2 o’clock. Then outside bolts 7, 2, 5, and 10 o’clock.
      Put some oil on each bolt too.

    The fucking wiring harness is a bitch to get to

      @@robertocarrasco3794 it’s brutal isn’t it? If they’d given just 2 more inches of slack you could slip it through.
