EverQuest to this day is still the best and most memorable game I've ever played. It came at the right time and it's what made it so magical. Over the years I've returned to Norrath either on live or TLP servers. I've played P99 and most recently Project Quarm. Sadly, nothing can replace the nostalgia I had when it first launched and all iterations fall flat for me after a few weeks or months playing. The LORE for this game is pretty much what always calls me back and keeps me interested in Norrath so many years later. I really wish I had the time to re-visit that wonderful world again.
@scubanc73 I feel ya brother! I too am much like you. Busy life comes and goes like the tide and I'm now trying to help those that dont have time, while I do have time. Thanks for sharing.
these lore videos are AWESOME. This is exactly the kind of EQ content I've been hoping for for years! Your thoroughness and thoughtfulness is much appreciated! EQ's cities and dungeons had this palpable history to them that you could feel, but tangible facts and stories were always hard to come by. Even the printed EQ Atlas tragically skimps on the details. These videos manage what EQ Atlas does not, giving that feeling of history the attention and detail that it deserves. A million times thank you. I can't wait for the next one!
@Bighonkk Thank you very much 😶😶 really kind words! Part 2 of this first episode will be out Friday morning and more to come in the near future. Lol I love that atlas. Still have my copy up on my desk. It has its issues though, lol. Came out during PoP has a PoP cover but no PoP maps 😂😂
Great content, looking forward to more. The amount of time my friend and I put into this game is insane and to this day we still talk about it even though we haven't played in forever. Thanks for the nostalgia!
9:40 Oh man that bank is where I saw my first epic. I was banking there and saw a monk with cool bubbles floating up off his hands, and learned it was his epic. I was in awe; it was so cool. Back then, there weren't lots of websites where you could learn about things in the game, so almost everything I knew came from in-game chat via other players.
@mikeparsons1746 I remember those days. Allakhazam and thotbot were like the only ones I remember off the top of my head. I can't remember which epic I saw first but the warrior epic was one I always wanted. I also always wanted to get into that locked door in the bank. The vault I suppose.
Love this video series! And your delivery is great, don’t be so critical of yourself. The more you do the better you’ll get. Hope you make lots and lots of these.
@vhstudmuffin Thank you and especially for the feedback. I agree with you. Practice will do a lot of good. I have a lot in mind and in the pipeline. 2nd half of this episode will be Friday morning. Thanks again and take care.
Damn, watching all thies eq videos makes me cry a little. So many great memories from the game. Almost 40 now and it brings me back to being a kid playing late in the night camping mobs in crushbone with friends on weekend nights.... great videos man, thank you
@@Onwaxwings ahhh yeah. Good times. I'm almost 40 as well. Although I can't stay up late anymore or play as much as I wish, there are still good times to be had on Quarm. The server does a good job about respecting time so you can get a lot done with much much less time. I appreciate it
Loved this first episode! Just started playing EQ for the first time on Quarm and so glad to find your channel and all the great content! Keep it up brother it's awesome!
@xHierrox Thank you! There is actually a decent amount of first time Everquest players on this server. That's awesome to hear as it's decently rare these days. I hope you are enjoying your time and if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to holler!
@justaguy8104 Thank you very much! Something that can never be recreated but we keep chasing that dragon. The world and lore will always be great though.
Great series idea and great content! You are right about requiring more attention, but that is a good thing since you've packed in a lot of information and details. Thanks!
Phew! Really happy to hear that. I really didn't want to split it but it was simply too long and my mind was wondering trying to listen to it when it was too long.
@amandacornett5680 Thank you. I do have plans to. I have more to do on Freeport still as well. I'm working on another dungeon video right now and trying to have it out Wednesday morning so stay tuned!
