He's still the PM currently and one of the most consequential things regarding the next election is whether he stays or goes.

Isn’t funny how no one is talking about the NDP. Layton must be rolling over in disappointment how the party he built is so weak today. Very much like it was when Layton first took it over. It will be an uphill climb for both the Liberals and the NDP

If scott truly believe that people don't lied under oat, you truly aren't the smart guy I thought you were. Just say it's partisan, then I'll get it.

Accusing the PM of lying under oath is a pretty bold charge. And not one that should be made lightly.

I used to be a pastor in a church. Every year, my position came up for review. It was understood that if I did not have at least 80% of the congregations support, it was time for me to resign and move on. Less than 80% meant that I would be constantly putting out bush fires of unhappy people and couldn't do my job. Justin Trudeau has already lost control of Parliament, too busy putting out bushfires to get anything done. Now that he has lost over 20% of caucus support, he will be spending his time putting out the fires there. Meanwhile, there is a country to run and he doesn't have the time.
Those who say that there is no mechanism to force him to go simply lack the courage to stand up and say, "Go and go now." For heaven's sake, you Backbenchers are going to lose your job anyways. You might as well go down swinging now doing the right thing. You will save your integrity if not your jobs.

I'd suggest that you read Thomas Mulclair's view of whether Polievre should be read-in and not be able to speak of what he read.

So what happens when Trudeau walks out of the caucus? Then the only option is to resign or sit as independants and to abstain from voting in a confidence vote.

No punch landed what so ever. Pierre has explained his reasoning time and time again. Besides, who is the PM again? Oh yeah, Trudeau. He who has the power to release the names. So release them instead of playing games

Give Poilievre a chance to show what he's got to offer to save this destroyed country. I and many other Canadians hate Trudeau. Get Trudeau out. I'm always on Kory's side. He sees what the rest of you don't seem to be able to open your minds to.

  • @DF-jd6nl

Kory is right fouriegn interference is the Prime Ministers problem not the leader of the opposition

    • @stratford374
      @stratford374 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

When the foreign interference happens in the CPC leadership races it's the leader of the CPC's problem. When it's involving CPC MP's or candidates, it's the leader of the oppositions problem.
Unless you want Trudeau to tell Poilievre which MP's he's allowed to run in the next election?

@@stratford374 well apparently Trudeau doesn't have the Balls to do it. If Trudeau uses that excuse he doesn't care about the democracy he is the leader of.

I believe to Jordan’s comment that they are not approaching Trudeau about leaving is that how can you. This guy rules in forms of his way or the highway. Do I need to remind you what happened to Raybould. You can’t talk to this guy. No one can. You can present your ideas but he will do what he wants to do. Live in that world for 9 years and you will realize why they are going about it like they are. No one can ever tell Trudeau to knock it off when he goes to far. Like the vacations he takes. He is entitled and there is no going back. Humility does not have a place in his world. Narcissism all the way.

  • @oldtimer7979

I can't help but think that Trudeau will be remembered as Canada's Fidel Castro or Nicolae Ceaușescu, especially if and when he prorogues parliament indefinitely. To paraphrase Freeland, "do we continue with democracy"?

Dynamic discussion on every issue this week! One observation I made this morning during my early TH-cam enjoyment was that the number of views for that time of the day was curiously about 152 more than usual. Only thing I can figure - it was the Liberal caucus (less one) seeking direction on how to remake the bed they all had a roll in shitting in.

He just needs to go, we don’t want his extreme 2030 net-zero policies and soul destroying, negative rhetoric. Justin is not Pierre, the opposition leader nor his father, not even close. God bless Canadians trying to cope…..terrible BCNDP policies, how voters could vote for NDP, mind blowing. Nothing wrong with Rustad and conservatives, just now, good man, good people. Thanks for a good discussion, as always.

Seems most of us commenting here know why Pierre will not get the clearance. These 4 including Kory surprisingly seem willfully blind to understand. Elizabeth May got the clearsnce and said there is no list of names. Who knows what Trudeau will show Pierre to try to muzzle him..

About the PM’s “performance” - is he ice skating and we are rating his performance, great outfit & nice style? He was of course using a judicial inquiry for partisan political ends and will not name names for any parties - including his - “we know stuff” is schoolyard & juvenile behaviour, but is along time since anyone thought he was a serious leader of Canada!
