It will lessen the number you'll have to line up the hexagonal patterns. You'll need to be careful when lining up the two ends on the brush, but after that, you're good to go. Another fun thing you could do, is fill the potholder with pourable silicon, to give yourself a bunch of hexagonal nubs. These look cool on any custom futuristic body armor.
