I've always liked the theory that Peter is so good at making his suits because spiders are good at weaving their webs, so he got that trait but is instead weaving the fabric to make his suits
Actually, if Peter managed to create something physically impossible like webshooters, he could create these suits fairly easy. He wouldn't do the hard sewing way we're used to, he would literally make an entire new way that manages to be easier and cost effective. Most likely, the fabric in his suits was developed and built by him, so he might literally have tweaked the webbing to make each fiber. Yeah, that's some crazy achievement Peter accomplished.
I think the idea was instead of SRSM OR MCUSM who knew exactly what they wanted there suit to look like and planned it out TASM only vaguely knew what he wanted it to look like and kinda winged it and also had the most random materials to work with.
It’s funny how the premise of TASM was for Spider-man to be a bit more grounded, then they design one of the most complicated suits possible. I do like the visible seams and some of the messiness of the design. I especially like how the glove has a very visible seam and doesn’t just magically detach at the wrist. I’d also love to have a suit that’s more like yours in actual movies. Stuff that looks like it was made at home while still having a professional and appealing design. While I like the use of the MCU homemade suit, it also just doesn’t look as cool as other suits. I also really wish they’d actually make 7-piece costumes instead of having a onesie with entirely different costumes specifically designed to have the mask or gloves separated. It would add so much more to the character of the suit while still maintaining a sleek design. I also share in the hatred of the black and gold suit. It’s a stupid concept, has a stupid reasoning to exist, and only exists to sell more toys. I find it ridiculous that they made a practical suit for this design (which was painted over with CGI), but not for the beautiful ending suit (granted, it would have only been used for shot while the rest would be CGI regardless). What especially bugs me about it is how it raises so many questions. Does Peter have all that wiring pressed up against him when he wears it normally? Why are none of the systems damaged when he gets hit by lightning with the exposed wiring? How is he able to flip everything inside out, including the lenses, soles, and web-shooter nozzles? When I first saw the suit in the trailers, I thought it was the FFH suit with the outer layer burned off or something. But the actual reasoning just feels so stupid and impractical.
If the black and gold suit was actually the FFH suit burned off, that would have been perfect. Maybe Goblin bombs or Electro blasts, leaving only parts of the red still there.
That was my main problem with it. Between the sleek shapes, how shiny and rubbery it looks, and the textures, it looks like a higher quality super suit. It just looks wrong for the "grounded" take on Spiderman and for it being his first suit. It's too high quality and too "cool" looking.
Fun fact: The original 1999 script of the first movie had a complete alternative way of Peter making his suit after he made the sketches. He buys 2 separate spandex bodysuits (one midnight blue and the other crimson red color,) cuts and stitches them together, draws spider webs all over it with a cartoony logo on the front and back. And cuts the mask for oval shape eyeholes with the lenses were made out of white mesh. Yes, we could've had a suit directly from the comics. And almost pre-dating how most cosplayers make their suits. No silver webbing with edgy sharp logos and lenses, no black bands, no honeycomb patterns, not high tech, just a simple, cheap, colorful suit a poor kid would've made that's nearly a perfect adaptation of John Romita's work. Why wasn't that in the movie is beyond me.

It just adds a lot for me.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see TASM2 as an upgrade to TASM1. Except for the webshooters, which Gwen was the one that did it for him, the suit doesn't really do major favors. I mean, he got tasered in TASM1 and for some reason that didn't damage his webshooters, but Electro does in TASM2. Lizard rips through his suit in TASM1 and Electro also manages to do that in TASM2. I guess Peter just never learned with his mistakes.

I think the wires from the black and gold suit were connected to the phone
I think for the Stark suit craft foam would work much better for the webshooters than leather since they’re supposed to be rigid, plus they’re segmented into multiple parts and that would be much easier with foam.
I have a head canon that peter developed insane knitting sewing and weaving skills after getting bit by the spider
Watching Andrew Garfield's 1st Amazing Spider-man movie. Ya believed that he made his suit from scratch. Especially when he overheard the two guys talking about a latest suit that was made. Inexpensive and easy to use.
I've been thinking a lot about Superman's costume too, please make that video I would watch it several times
i'd like to imagine that an actually homemade raimi suit would look something like the peter's web suit
FYI the ver of the NWH end suit with the cobalt blue and without the "gold" spider emblem is more accurate since its drawn by Marvel Studios' head of visual development himself
peter parker should just make costumes for a living
“Is the logo bronze, I surely fucking hope not”😂
bro i’d totally be down for a superman video, superman is awesome
Using unleashed music makes me happy
I would love to see a series where you actually try to make the suits
THAT SPONSOR TRANSITION WAS SO SMOOTH
Actually a highly quality tasm suit is actually really doable. But it's gonna take a lot of time.. and puff paint
MAKE THE SERIES!!!!
the ad warning shot is so fcking hilarious
Babe wake up there's a new probs spidey vid
I’d like to imagine that Peter 3D models suits then UV unwraps them and prints those out as templates, considering engineering stuff.
Atlas vpn: protects my info and keeps it hidden
My school: well uh no that is ours
Love your vids btw Kai keep up the awesome work
Always had this gripe too!! Along with the weird near-future tech suits
that atlasVPN sponsor transition was amazing
That sponsor Segway was almost as seamless as all the MCU suits
dude fr
0:04 so you've only been making suits for a year?? nice work dude
Funny the vigilante suit was the only suit i ever had and worn before i made the homemade suit in high school
web weaver is canonically the only one who could have made his own suit
I think the way he gets hes suit in the ultimate comics is way beter than he just knows how to make the suit
It was either this or heads will roll
Easy choice
Have you ever thought about how it's just called "Joann Fabrics"? There should be an s in there and I hate it.
"What'd you do yesterday"
"Oh, I spent some time in Joann then I went to the sh--"
"You WHAT?"
This is one of my favorite videos on youtube
Yeah, the ultra-high quality costumes always ruined the immersion just a bit because theres no way he could have made them. The crappy homemade ones are exactly what they'd look like.
A guy on TikTok made the TASM 1 suit In like a year, but he made 2 because the first one was too baggy
This guy probably is the real life spider man.
