I think the explosive ammo has its role within GW/Invasion as a way to harass tanks, APCs, and other vehicles. It won't be a tank-killer but it will be a nuisance, forcing vehicle players off a point/route to avoid getting peppered with HE rounds.
Something I’ve always wondered about COD snipers. If you shoot someone in the arm and their arm is in front of their body, does the bullet pass through the arm (causing arm damage) and then the bullet enters the torso and cause damage a second time? I mean there are 360 degrees of attack angles and you can get multiple kills with one bullet. Logic would dictate that in modern COD games that that would be the damage model
You end up dealing whatever damage is highest out of the multipliers that it passes through but it will not stack. So a shot that passes through an arm and into the torso will deal torso damage
I built mine with all ads attachments and it's really good, I went 40 and 18, you can't play the same way you would the SPR and the other quick snipers but you still play pretty aggressive
Personally for me, this rifle is the best at long range engagements. Using the 33in Barrel, a bipod, high velocity rounds, stabilization grip and a 11x scope. Plus ammunition perk for extra ammo. I was on invasion, in a really good spot minimizing the enemies line of sight of me and killed like 15 players in a row. Some of the players were the size of the scopes radical dot and was hitting dead center each time.
I liked this gun, all the snipers really... You missed a HUGE opportunity not testing ADS with smaller scopes and Holo sights I like to put a fine dot sight (blue if possible because partially colorblind lol) and build it for ADS then cycle between being aggressive to move across the map and finding a good place to hide and take as long as shot as possible without any laser or glint to give me away.

This is a beast sniper but the ads time needs a buff imo same as the LAB especially when the lab is from the sa50. To be honest they all need a buff to bring them in line with marksman either being ads for the overly slow ones or something simple like the damage range in 6v6 maps shouldn’t ever be a hit marker for a sniper when the sa 50 can one shot over pretty much every distance in 6v6
Honestly I thought this sniper had a better one shot kill zone in the first range, sometimes I would hit people in the upper leg zone above the knee and still get a one shot consistently I wonder what was happening
Terrible net code. I have countless clips of getting one shot quick scope kills where I'm not even on target. And just as many where I'm dead center on them and don't even get hitmarkers. I deleted the game.
Long range barrel. High velocity rounds. Stability laser. 5.5x very small glint scope. Max damage range over 100m covers 6v6 maps. I forgot you could stabilize a gun by holding your breath because you don’t need to if you micromanage your aim so when someone walks into your line of sight there’s no delay before they die.
SPX is best for quickscoping, Victus is best for range and stopping power. I’ll use Victus on Taraq and Ground war but it’s SPX over everything for 6v6
For some reason, I actually enjoy being aggressive with this thing even without an ADS-maximizing build. I love a super fast handling high risk high reward bolt action as much as the next quickscoping prick, but the XMR has that consistency that the faster snipers lack.
I feel the XMR is the crutch rifle. It is easy to use, especially at long ranges, and has consistent damage. In ground war and DMZ, you learn to just aim for the head. At that point the XMR is just slow. You can get better handling and/or rate of fire for the same one hit kill potential. It still has the velocity, but at that range where velocity matters, I feel that followup shots are more important. At that range you aren’t getting a consistent 1 hit kill on a moving target. Any stationary target can be easily dealt with the bullet drop scope.
I use almost the same as your aggressive build but I use the mcpr scope instead of the vlk. While not the best choice for 6v6 it certainly is fun as fuck
I probably get as many hit markers with it as all other snipers when it comes to MP, but it is absolutely my go to sniper in DMZ, since the Signal has really bad bullet velocity and all other snipers simply aren’t as good as the Victus long range
By far this is the best sniper in the game for consistent 1 shot kills to the torso. With the other snipers I got sometimes hit markers on the torso but with this one the only way not to kill somebody is as if the game decides that your bullet won't register. 0 regular hitmarkers. Only shots that don't do any damage (nerfed) are not killing other players. As when do I like to use it? 6vs6 when i want to camp and destroy other players. In ground war this is my fav sniper too because the one shot hit area is quite big even at longer distances. In DMZ is the only sniper i use. Warzone I don't play
Yes it's slow and clunky but I love it. Just like the ZRG in cold war. On paper it's not the best but dang was it fun hitting feeds with. Something about slow hard hitting snipers is just fun. That said I highly recommend the 6.6 zoom scope on most (especially this 1) snipers. It's great
Would be interesting to know how much different scopes affect the ADS speed on snipers. For example between default / 5.0x / 4.0x / 3.4x. Is 4.0x faster than 5.0x?
People seem to love the victus in dmz and warzone because of the bullet drop, but since snipers can't one shot 3 plate players I think the signal is much better. Though honestly semi auto dmrs like the ebr and the taq-m are better than snipers anyways unless you're going for very long range shots.
honestly the Victus makes a better close-mid DMR type weapon than a sniper. I loved throwing a Schlager on it and running around clapping people when I was leveling it up

Use FaZe Kitty's build for the Victus, it is a monster at quickscoping
What times is the regular scope
I really enjoy the Victus XMR in Ground War, but even at 6v6-like ranges
Is there any chance you can share your one shot kill zone and ranges sheets? It'd be great to have them on hand when comparing loadouts
This is the best sniper rifle imo, so satisfying to use and rarely gets hitmarkers
use and tune Corio 13x VRS scope
Will you give us the TAQ 56 set up of PROs? Or you don't know ther set up?
It’s goated in warzone with the armour piercing rounds
I feel the XMR is the crutch rifle. It is easy to use, especially at long ranges, and has consistent damage.
In ground war and DMZ, you learn to just aim for the head. At that point the XMR is just slow. You can get better handling and/or rate of fire for the same one hit kill potential. It still has the velocity, but at that range where velocity matters, I feel that followup shots are more important. At that range you aren’t getting a consistent 1 hit kill on a moving target. Any stationary target can be easily dealt with the bullet drop scope.
What X is the stock zoom on the victus?
I use almost the same as your aggressive build but I use the mcpr scope instead of the vlk. While not the best choice for 6v6 it certainly is fun as fuck
For the aggressive build, why did you pick the VLK over the Forge Tac Delta? It has a 60ms ADS benefit…
The VLK also improves ADS by 60ms and I prefer the optic over the Delta
@@TheXclusiveAce Ahhh didn’t know that. Nice! 🙌
I feel explosive rounds might be a fun time in HC
The DMZ meta is to stack much more velocity on Victus than that, so different barrel and then silencer with 30% up.
I probably get as many hit markers with it as all other snipers when it comes to MP, but it is absolutely my go to sniper in DMZ, since the Signal has really bad bullet velocity and all other snipers simply aren’t as good as the Victus long range
If you max out BV it feels faster than the max BV MCPR, almost like its hitscan, and it hits much harder like a TANK.
I really wanted a .308 or .338 conversion to make it the Arctic Warfare Magnum. Not the biggest fan of the .50BMG "Arctic Warfare".
So HE Rounds weren't that good like in MW 2019... thanks for the advice and also nice review
Although i feel like the 1 shot kill zone for a .50 should be bigger, this is definitely the most consistent sniper.
It's my go to Multiplayer sniper. My least favourite is either the spx or la-b.
I'm using this in MW3 and man... It feels like I keep getting hit markers on them in the arms POINT BLANK. Its ridiculous
Forge tac delta 4 and Charlie 7 scopes increase your ads speed by a lot
Tbh i love this gun on invasion, even if i played a bit aggressive
People seem to love the victus in dmz and warzone because of the bullet drop, but since snipers can't one shot 3 plate players I think the signal is much better. Though honestly semi auto dmrs like the ebr and the taq-m are better than snipers anyways unless you're going for very long range shots.
I mean... it goes BANG when you shoot it. Sure sounds cool
By far the top sniper for dmz
honestly the Victus makes a better close-mid DMR type weapon than a sniper. I loved throwing a Schlager on it and running around clapping people when I was leveling it up
I had fun with this sniper but I did have a blueprint that was nice
