I know Ace doesn't cover Zombies but the Mors in Zombies is INSANE. Upgraded once the ammo becomes explosive. Hit the ground next to 5 zombies and they all just turn to mist.
It's a lot of fun to use in Zombies. You don't take damage from the explosion, so if you find yourself swarmed, all you need to do is fire a round at your feet. The one downside I've noticed with it, though, is that it's not very good against armored zombies or special zombies.
At this point there are two options, either life hurt you too much so you keep hating it or just say fuck it and enjoy what you're given. Does it make sense to be in this game? Nope, neither do basicaly all the aftermarket parts. Is it cool to play with? Hell yeah it is. :)
I'd be stunned if the MORS doesn't catch a nerf very soon. With the right build, it has a better 1 shot kill potential than the KATT AMR, whilst having similar ADS speed to the Longbow. There is literally no reason to use any of the other snipers in the game right now, this thing outclasses everything.

as much as I love the mors and its been the most fun sniper in ages, its honestly insanely overpowered. It does everything the katt amr does but better, it has a fast rechamber time, insane range, bullet velocity, great ads speed, it has really no downsides to it, it virtually makes every other sniper that isnt the longbow (aka a shotgun disguised) irrelevant.
It's nice to see someone recognising the fact! There are many people here celebrating yet ANOTHER over-powered new weapon which will be nerfed down the line after it has driven away more players.
The fact that you have to unscope is probably meant to be the major disadvantage but if anything it probably helps you when spamming quick scopes since your scope glare rarely reveals your position.
I honestly haven't run into this as feeling over powered. In within the first few days of release for blackcell buyers or REALLY fast and hard token grinders, it was everywhere. But I'm far from seeing it everywhere anymore. It's a powerful one shot kill sniper yeah but I haven't been getting shotgunned by it. Majorly quick scoped at the levels of the longbow. Maybe I've just not been in those types of lobbies since Thursday, I don't know.
At some point recently the Photonic barrel was massively buffed and no longer requires charging to OHK anywhere above the knees or reach max velocity, from the looks of it. Could be glitched, but it's at least worth using now.
And an AW carryover, nobody's surprised to see that this is what Sledgehammer is emotionally invested in developing. The timing is also suspicious given that most of the other sniper rifles caught more nerfs recently. Combined with dev favoritism, this is the modern COD playbook at work once again.
Maybe if Sledgehammer decides to add the KS-23M, or decide to add the China Lake that uses .22 Hornets Nest rounds by default (12 rounds, all of which could be Hollow Point for extra damage).
The MORS dot optic (not weapon) seems to have an occlusion bug. As the optic moves randomly parts of the dot fade out or the entire dot becomes invisible. Its more noticeable if you move the camera around while ads.
This is the first and only gun in the whole franchise that I've max leveled without ever adding any attachment to. For some reason, my shots just connect with this exactly the way I want them to. The SPX is also a very accurate weapon for me in terms of actually landing shots where I'm trying to.
@@Tigliz12 Its weird you say that because I think I felt the same thing, even when I just added a laser for ADS with no cons, it wasn't connecting shots the same. Could just be skill based damage/aim/whatever else they have or simply bugs because everything is a mess.

I enjoy the charge barrel since if you need to pop off a shot sooner you will get intermediate levels of velocity and damage. Get someone coming at you unexpectedly but you aren't charged? Getting charge in the ADS window will give a decent chance of fending someone off. I personally also like it for the basic fact that I can hold it and then release. A little counter intuitive perhaps, but preferring pre-aimed fire, releasing the trigger feels more consistent. That's just by my feel though.
I still prefer the stalker still cause the faster firerate + not being forced to unscope. Ontop of the fact that the mors has a slow firerate, having to rescope for every shot also decreases it's firerate. I also like the stalkers scope more.
This thing feels like a bizzare combination of the TREK-50 and the G-Rail from Infinite warfare, it has the single shot aspect of the Trek with the charge option of the G-rail. Its really dissapointing its not a 1 shot by default in Warzone, I don't like 1 shots in warzone, but if anything should it's a fucking rail gun.
If u combine the charge barrel and the anit material slug u can wallbang like crazy. (Nearly as-val with 10 round mag levels) ive gotten a 1shot kill through 2 concrete walls to the torso.
Well this one isnt overpowered imo. It does what a sniper should do, one shot a mfer. The downside is that you have absolutely no chance at killing a second target because of the reload. He says it's a good fire rate but the animation is quite jarring. And animations matter ALOT, just look at visual recoil vs no visual recoil. Makes hitting targets waaaaay harder even though the bullets go in the exact same spot. I think this one just feels better because it's a meaty sounding gun. There was an older game back in the day that had 2 guns with the exact same stats but different models and sound effects and shockingly the k/ds along woth people's opinion showed that the meaty sounding gun performed better despite being the EXACT same. So hopefully cod doesn't nerf this

How come you didn't talk about stacking the photonic barrel with the slug? Don't they stack? Also idle sway is awful on this sniper, which is a challenge for weaker snipers like me. Very hard to bring that idle sway under control.
They do. He probably didn’t cover it since both attachments on their own one-shot anywhere, but using both together can be useful, especially for wallbanging.
P-06 was technically the most powerful non-supply drop sniper rifle in that game; it’s a rapid 3-round burst when it takes at most 2 bullets to kill on regular enemies, can break through Battery’s special armor with a chest shot, and was probably the best (again, non-supply drop) sniper for taking out scorestreaks with FMJ and ‘stendo mags. I sure hope the BAL-27 when it gets added is more flexible than average, given its futuristic nature.
So satisfying to use, which they included a tracer/death effect bundle in the shop for the MORS maybe a light blue electric one to match the electric vibes on it would be sweet!
Love the Mors from AW but I feel like it feels and sounds worse, idk if it’s rose tinted glasses but I remember the subtle detail of the visuals, the compressed air and the smoke and the sound making it satisfying to use. This bright blue thing they have looks so cheesy
It would be nice if you made a video calling out how broken MWIII's balancing is in this state and how useless the whole "150hp better because takes more skill" argument is at this point with so much TTK inconsistencies and everybody running around with 1 shoot weapons everywhere because how easy it is to use it. 100hp would fit this game much more
Honestly? Same. Two of the three times 150 health has been implemented (BO4 and MWIII in particular; Cold War still has its inconsistencies tho), it’s resulted in broken balancing that makes some weapons useless and others far stronger, when the latter’d be mediocre in any other CoD game. Infinite Warfare is probably the best balanced slower-TTK CoD to date, and it still has 100 health.
Good to know that both the PCB and the AM Slugs on their own 1-hit anywhere in the body (and that the “upper leg” metric counts for the entire leg, not just the upper)… That said, using both together isn’t a complete wash; they allow you to 1-hit people consistently through walls and some surprisingly thick cover, with me only ever getting hitmarkers going entirely through a car, or some VERY thick cover. To counter the fire rate benefits of the MORS though, like you mentioned, you have to un-ADS just to reload, so the ADS speed would have to factor into your practical fire rate, as you can’t achieve the full fire rate unless you’re hipfiring, which is a bad idea with a sniper anyway. Also, fun fact, this sniper can actually sever limbs. Idk if it could do it with just the PCB or just the AM Slugs, but I did find it capable of gibbing with both.
Update: while the penetration was nerfed, it’s still possible to get consistent 1-hit kills through your typical wall, especially with PCB and AM Slugs like I mentioned earlier.
Update 2: for anyone wondering about the MORS’ performance on killstreaks proper, PCB doesn’t actually improve killstreak damage (despite improving damage in general on a full charge), and with Explosive + Anti-Armor rounds, it takes 11 shots to down a Wheelson (for reference, the KATT AMR with Anti-Armor + Explosive takes 6 shots, and the Bruen w/ Incendiary + Anti-Armor takes around 52 shots). It still might be a good idea to run both PCB and Explosive rounds on the MORS, to improve damage against both players and killstreaks respectively, though running it with PCB and AM Slugs might be a better idea against players exclusively (the penetration performance seems identical to the KATT AMR w/ AP rounds, possibly due to the AM rounds’ further increase to damage meaning more damage is carried over past cover). That being said, the KV Inhibitor w/ Incendiary Ammo, Volkh Kit, and Anti-Armor rounds might overall be the best sniper for anti-killstreak use; it only takes one extra burst to down a Wheelson compared to the KATT AMR using explosive + anti-armor, the magazine size can be doubled, and as slow as the burst delay is, it’s still faster than working the bolt on the KATT AMR for a followup shot.
The photonic barrel is only good for extreme range sniping as at allows you to keep the bullet velocity and 1 shot kill potential. I painted mine black and named it The Machina. In ground war I did confirm that the default mors can 1 shot to the chest to 388 meters, I could not get a longer shot in live matches
It has the same 1-hit kill area past the stated maximum damage range tho… I’d understand combining that with the PCB though; while you won’t wallbang with the ‘splosive rounds, the PCB still allows you to 1-hit anywhere with explosive rounds, and should aid you in taking out killstreaks with a full charge.

Every handheld example you've seen from companies like Arcflash and entities like the CCP is not a railgun: they're all coilguns or gauss weapons designed for less-then-lethal applications. We haven't come close to a feasible large-scale railgun yet, let alone one smaller than a testbed naval cannon. Coilguns don't have the same design consequences of a theoretical handheld railgun: man-portable power generation and exponentially higher recoil on the shooter. The MORS is explicitly classified as a railgun, which imo makes it weird to see in a near-future setting.

crazy fun to use rn, but it will definitely get annoying eventually. i really think flinch in this game needs a bit of a rework on snipers. it recenters so fast that you often still die even if they’re bouncing all over the place.
Using This weapon has been the most fun I've had in years and i really hope when they inevitably nerf it they dont kill it completely by ruining its 1 shot consistency or making it ADS super slow

Coming from someone that loves sniping, it just seems silly that a gun that needs to be manually reloaded every round shouldn’t be faster than a standard bolt action. I think it would be a fair nerf to slow the rpm down so that it’s one of, if not the slowest sniper - the upside being literally everything else about the gun.
im surpised u didnt mention since u cant ads when reloading, ads time has to be factored into practical fire rate, right? cuz i need to wait for the reload time plus the ads time to take the shot, whereas for other snipers u can ads when rechambering
I think that the in-game RoF stat of MORS is meant for MWZ where you can apply an item to fire without reloading, which turn MORS into a semi-auto rifle even without PAP (although the actual RoF should still be slower than 200RPM but I can't test it).
only down side is that you can not put a silencer on it. i like putting a silencer on my quick scope builds just so i can stay off the radar and be able to get 3 kills if i get behind the enenmy before they notice im there.
I can see the photonic charge being good in Zombies too. Base MORS is GOD AWFUL in the tier 3 zone, even fully upgraded, you need like 10 shots to kill a zombie. The fact that shooting it blinds you and your teammates too doesnt help matters.
Since the Studio is borrowing from the Jetpack Era, what If they released an Optic that Performs like the VMC optic from Infinite Warfare (Variable zoom sight which improves recoil when zoomed in)
Which unfortunately got nerfed, but maybe it’s for the better. It still has great wallbang potential when combining PCB and AM Slugs, as it’ll still one-hit through walls that reduce its damage by about 36.9-37.2% when aiming for lower and upper torso respectively; in comparison, the KATT AMR can ‘only’ 1-hit torso through walls that reduce its damage by 27.5-30.5% when aiming for lower and upper torso respectively.
They have to be trolling with this sniper, this is the biggest joke in cod history, its not only 70ms faster ads, then anything else, but also a much faster fire rate, and bigger one hit kill zone out to the furthest range, oh and dont forget u never have to reload 😂😂😂😂😂. Nerf the life out of this gun, also please buff the intervention/fjx imperium fire rate, its painfully slow and its under powered compared to other snipers. Even though the mors is so much damn better I aint using anything other then intervention with the throwback audio pack everytime I play this game by far my fav gun n the iconic sound its so legendary n satisfying, honestly mw3 is a dream come true for me, its easily the best cod ever made n I been playing since cod 4. This is the golden era again n ppl r crying about it more then ever there so blind n there such followers.

i dont always get a one shot with the mors even with the anti material ammo but its only at long range so something is going on maybe the base barrel is bugged but the others aren't cuz i use the downfall barrel and i dont get one shots always at long range.
I absolutely love how Multiplayer is Riddled with Snipers in every lobby, not to mention with 150 HP, I’m challenged as an AR player to shoot these snipers 4-5 times in order to kill them across the map. It’s super balanced and honestly they should just take the ARs out of the game completely 😍
THIS!!! People cried so damn hard with Infinity Ward regular 100hp TTK like it was the worst thing in the world and how it lacked "skill" just to completely ignore how even with 150hp the game is even more broken and less skillful than MWII because of the insane TTK differences
@BackupReal Not exactly right. 100 HP with broken and unbalanced weapons makes camping more encouraged. In fact one of the main issues in mw2019 and Mw2 was serious camping due to the guns being very powerful, or you literally have classes that allowed camping to be done very easily. When you look at cold war (having 150 HP as well. ) You can basically use any gun and do just fine. There are always some exceptions (in fact lmgs were pretty strong especially 3 shot lmgs), but overall the balance of the game is fine. Snipers were not an issue and there's the anti-tank Sniper rifle that is basically like the MORS but just slower in handling. They can just nerf its handling stats a bit and it will be just fine. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be.
One thing I think is important to mention is the how fact that you can’t ADS while reloading makes your accurate, practical Rate of Fire values much higher than usual, as to get an accurate shot off you have to re-scope in every bullet, meaning that your ADS time is also directly proportionate to your fire rate. The gun isn’t a faster shooting gun than any other, and may be slower due to that

Its just missing the iconic MORS Firing sound from Advanced Warfare. Otherwise, a very fun & powerful gun to use.

It does have the old sound. Without the photonic barrel it's a bit subdued, but it's there, and with it it straight up sounds the same.

Well this one isnt overpowered imo. It does what a sniper should do, one shot a mfer. The downside is that you have absolutely no chance at killing a second target because of the reload. He says it's a good fire rate but the animation is quite jarring. And animations matter ALOT, just look at visual recoil vs no visual recoil. Makes hitting targets waaaaay harder even though the bullets go in the exact same spot. I think this one just feels better because it's a meaty sounding gun. There was an older game back in the day that had 2 guns with the exact same stats but different models and sound effects and shockingly the k/ds along woth people's opinion showed that the meaty sounding gun performed better despite being the EXACT same. So hopefully cod doesn't nerf this

Also idle sway is awful on this sniper, which is a challenge for weaker snipers like me. Very hard to bring that idle sway under control.

That photon barrel reminds me of the P-06 3-round burst sniper from BO3. That was fun to use.
P-06 was technically the most powerful non-supply drop sniper rifle in that game; it’s a rapid 3-round burst when it takes at most 2 bullets to kill on regular enemies, can break through Battery’s special armor with a chest shot, and was probably the best (again, non-supply drop) sniper for taking out scorestreaks with FMJ and ‘stendo mags.
I sure hope the BAL-27 when it gets added is more flexible than average, given its futuristic nature.

Love the Mors from AW but I feel like it feels and sounds worse, idk if it’s rose tinted glasses but I remember the subtle detail of the visuals, the compressed air and the smoke and the sound making it satisfying to use. This bright blue thing they have looks so cheesy
It would be nice if you made a video calling out how broken MWIII's balancing is in this state and how useless the whole "150hp better because takes more skill" argument is at this point with so much TTK inconsistencies and everybody running around with 1 shoot weapons everywhere because how easy it is to use it. 100hp would fit this game much more
Honestly? Same.
Two of the three times 150 health has been implemented (BO4 and MWIII in particular; Cold War still has its inconsistencies tho), it’s resulted in broken balancing that makes some weapons useless and others far stronger, when the latter’d be mediocre in any other CoD game.
Infinite Warfare is probably the best balanced slower-TTK CoD to date, and it still has 100 health.
Something to note: Like all other reloads, tactical Sprint interrupts the rechambering process on the MORS.
Every season the new guns are overpowered to increase sales. Then they get patched a month or two later. Let's not act surprised here.
Just what I wanted to see when I was figuring out what to put on this sniper, thanks Ace!
Good to know that both the PCB and the AM Slugs on their own 1-hit anywhere in the body (and that the “upper leg” metric counts for the entire leg, not just the upper)…
That said, using both together isn’t a complete wash; they allow you to 1-hit people consistently through walls and some surprisingly thick cover, with me only ever getting hitmarkers going entirely through a car, or some VERY thick cover.
To counter the fire rate benefits of the MORS though, like you mentioned, you have to un-ADS just to reload, so the ADS speed would have to factor into your practical fire rate, as you can’t achieve the full fire rate unless you’re hipfiring, which is a bad idea with a sniper anyway.
Also, fun fact, this sniper can actually sever limbs. Idk if it could do it with just the PCB or just the AM Slugs, but I did find it capable of gibbing with both.
Update: while the penetration was nerfed, it’s still possible to get consistent 1-hit kills through your typical wall, especially with PCB and AM Slugs like I mentioned earlier.
Update 2: for anyone wondering about the MORS’ performance on killstreaks proper, PCB doesn’t actually improve killstreak damage (despite improving damage in general on a full charge), and with Explosive + Anti-Armor rounds, it takes 11 shots to down a Wheelson (for reference, the KATT AMR with Anti-Armor + Explosive takes 6 shots, and the Bruen w/ Incendiary + Anti-Armor takes around 52 shots).
It still might be a good idea to run both PCB and Explosive rounds on the MORS, to improve damage against both players and killstreaks respectively, though running it with PCB and AM Slugs might be a better idea against players exclusively (the penetration performance seems identical to the KATT AMR w/ AP rounds, possibly due to the AM rounds’ further increase to damage meaning more damage is carried over past cover).
That being said, the KV Inhibitor w/ Incendiary Ammo, Volkh Kit, and Anti-Armor rounds might overall be the best sniper for anti-killstreak use; it only takes one extra burst to down a Wheelson compared to the KATT AMR using explosive + anti-armor, the magazine size can be doubled, and as slow as the burst delay is, it’s still faster than working the bolt on the KATT AMR for a followup shot.
The photonic barrel is only good for extreme range sniping as at allows you to keep the bullet velocity and 1 shot kill potential. I painted mine black and named it The Machina.
In ground war I did confirm that the default mors can 1 shot to the chest to 388 meters, I could not get a longer shot in live matches

I’d understand combining that with the PCB though; while you won’t wallbang with the ‘splosive rounds, the PCB still allows you to 1-hit anywhere with explosive rounds, and should aid you in taking out killstreaks with a full charge.

Railguns have been experimented on by the army since early 2000s and handheld versions do exist but you would need a battery backpack for it to be even remotely usefull

Every handheld example you've seen from companies like Arcflash and entities like the CCP is not a railgun: they're all coilguns or gauss weapons designed for less-then-lethal applications. We haven't come close to a feasible large-scale railgun yet, let alone one smaller than a testbed naval cannon.
Coilguns don't have the same design consequences of a theoretical handheld railgun: man-portable power generation and exponentially higher recoil on the shooter. The MORS is explicitly classified as a railgun, which imo makes it weird to see in a near-future setting.

He's right to question the validity of a far future fictional technology being depicted in a game with the title "modern warfare." The MORS isn't "modern." i really think flinch in this game needs a bit of a rework on snipers. it recenters so fast that you often still die even if they’re bouncing all over the place.

i would like to ask if anyone can confirm that the hvp slugs are crosshair accurate, as some other ammunition attachments like slugs and explosive ammo actually have some rng bloom when scoped. does anyone know if they are 100% accurate?
I run them and for the mors they appear to be dead on. Every bullet type for the mors are listed as slugs so if one was inaccurate they'd all be

Coming from someone that loves sniping, it just seems silly that a gun that needs to be manually reloaded every round shouldn’t be faster than a standard bolt action. I think it would be a fair nerf to slow the rpm down so that it’s one of, if not the slowest sniper - the upside being literally everything else about the gun.
im surpised u didnt mention since u cant ads when reloading, ads time has to be factored into practical fire rate, right? cuz i need to wait for the reload time plus the ads time to take the shot, whereas for other snipers u can ads when rechambering
I’ve noticed the mors has crazy idle sway compared to other snipers.
I think that the in-game RoF stat of MORS is meant for MWZ where you can apply an item to fire without reloading, which turn MORS into a semi-auto rifle even without PAP (although the actual RoF should still be slower than 200RPM but I can't test it).
Each game mode has different ingame stated stats tho

only down side is that you can not put a silencer on it. i like putting a silencer on my quick scope builds just so i can stay off the radar and be able to get 3 kills if i get behind the enenmy before they notice im there.

The MORS sight is bugged no? Sometimes I can’t see the dot when I ADS and turn left. It’s very weird and throws me off.
I can see the photonic charge being good in Zombies too. Base MORS is GOD AWFUL in the tier 3 zone, even fully upgraded, you need like 10 shots to kill a zombie. The fact that shooting it blinds you and your teammates too doesnt help matters.
Since the Studio is borrowing from the Jetpack Era, what If they released an Optic that Performs like the VMC optic from Infinite Warfare (Variable zoom sight which improves recoil when zoomed in)

It still has great wallbang potential when combining PCB and AM Slugs, as it’ll still one-hit through walls that reduce its damage by about 36.9-37.2% when aiming for lower and upper torso respectively; in comparison, the KATT AMR can ‘only’ 1-hit torso through walls that reduce its damage by 27.5-30.5% when aiming for lower and upper torso respectively.

They have to be trolling with this sniper, this is the biggest joke in cod history, its not only 70ms faster ads, then anything else, but also a much faster fire rate, and bigger one hit kill zone out to the furthest range, oh and dont forget u never have to reload 😂😂😂😂😂. Nerf the life out of this gun, also please buff the intervention/fjx imperium fire rate, its painfully slow and its under powered compared to other snipers. Even though the mors is so much damn better I aint using anything other then intervention with the throwback audio pack everytime I play this game by far my fav gun n the iconic sound its so legendary n satisfying, honestly mw3 is a dream come true for me, its easily the best cod ever made n I been playing since cod 4. This is the golden era again n ppl r crying about it more then ever there so blind n there such followers.

i dont always get a one shot with the mors even with the anti material ammo but its only at long range so something is going on maybe the base barrel is bugged but the others aren't cuz i use the downfall barrel and i dont get one shots always at long range.

The mors was soooo fucking fun in advanced warfare,
I absolutely love how Multiplayer is Riddled with Snipers in every lobby, not to mention with 150 HP, I’m challenged as an AR player to shoot these snipers 4-5 times in order to kill them across the map. It’s super balanced and honestly they should just take the ARs out of the game completely 😍
That's why higher health is bad generally. It makes very few guns viable vs 100 hp in mw2 where most guns could be viable
THIS!!! People cried so damn hard with Infinity Ward regular 100hp TTK like it was the worst thing in the world and how it lacked "skill" just to completely ignore how even with 150hp the game is even more broken and less skillful than MWII because of the insane TTK differences
These guns are developed for WZ potential not 6v6 which is dying out every year.
@BackupReal Not exactly right. 100 HP with broken and unbalanced weapons makes camping more encouraged. In fact one of the main issues in mw2019 and Mw2 was serious camping due to the guns being very powerful, or you literally have classes that allowed camping to be done very easily.
When you look at cold war (having 150 HP as well. ) You can basically use any gun and do just fine. There are always some exceptions (in fact lmgs were pretty strong especially 3 shot lmgs), but overall the balance of the game is fine. Snipers were not an issue and there's the anti-tank Sniper rifle that is basically like the MORS but just slower in handling.
They can just nerf its handling stats a bit and it will be just fine. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be.

The special mors hexr optic is my favorite to use.
One thing I think is important to mention is the how fact that you can’t ADS while reloading makes your accurate, practical Rate of Fire values much higher than usual, as to get an accurate shot off you have to re-scope in every bullet, meaning that your ADS time is also directly proportionate to your fire rate. The gun isn’t a faster shooting gun than any other, and may be slower due to that
