Been waiting for a video on glint. It feels like sniper glint is an advantage over non snipers this game since the glint obscures almost double of someones entire model at a distance. Sniper glint is only really punishing if someone is counter sniping

The extra large scope glint is like the second coming of Black Ops 4 strobe light shotguns. Only difference is that instead of right in your face giving a slightly higher chance to hit them back, it's across the map. Making it impossible to hit anything.
I wish the game had included low to medium non-glint scopes magnifications like 3.5x as in MW2019. The HDR wa deadly and still covert with these scopes!
It'd be also useful on a lot of the battle rifles, marksman rifles and LMGs. I think it actually prevents other weapon classes from countering snipers, since the snipers have easier time spotting them.
@@GAMIR_SFM the only reason why this "Gameplay balance" needs to exist is because IW can't make characters stand out from their surroundings, mind you this wasn't an issue in COD games pre MW2019

Yea thats fucked up im here thinking I was slick using the firepoint and BPz40 hybrid to line them up with the red dot then clap them with the magnification
Great coverage of the topic. I get the need for scope glint, especially in long range maps like warzone. I think it would be cool though if they added in a filter attachment that could reduce the glint by a level or two like there is in the real world. It could shake up weapon set-ups.
the large scope glint almost obstructs your ability to target the enemy effectively, or often if behind a light background it will make them look invisible.
that’s why I love marksman rifles. Iron sights don’t glint, offer the best fov, quickest ads, and god-tier aimbot-tier one hit kill accuracy (I’m talking about the marksman rifle you have from Lvl 1, obviously. lol)
Honestly, the sniper glint in this game is so extreme it's an advantage. I honestly think if they just removed it from the game and let snipers actually be stealthy, it might be better because you could at least see the bastard once you found him rather than looking into the reflection of the light of a thousand suns all concentrated into the scope on his gun.
I wonder what would be a good way to make enemy snipers stand out more without the glint, i thinj a more pronounced trail as well as it lasting longer would be better than glints imo, so there's more skill in guessing where the trail comes from, instead of paniking and looking around for a glint
It’s just an easy way for the devs to balance the game. If Somebody in warzone or dmz had a class with a powerful scope and rifle with a suppressor, they could pick off an entire enemy team from afar because the only reference the players would have for which direction to take cover from is the bloody icon that pops up when you get hit, but even then sometimes that can be inaccurate. So it’s just a visual cue of where the sniper is located. After all, most people run ARs in those matches and would have a difficult time landing consistent shots at such a distance. Multiplayer tho? Yea they shouldn’t be nearly as bright as this. Ironically enough tho, the sniper glint is so damn big it covers the enemy anyways, they’ve somehow turned a disadvantage into an advantage.
There’s a scope called the RAPTOR-FVM40 with a 13x magnification and a range finder that calculates your bullet drop with a red-dot you place over your target. It’s insane, and could help with calculating that long distance glint.
hey there ik it's late but can you explain the scope to me? like what's the benefit of me knowing how far away the target is? As you can probably imagine I'm not a pro level player so idk haha thanks in advance ❤️
@@RSainman the scopes really helpful if you doesn't know the bullet drop on your sniper, but it can be a disadvantage that every time the player going up or down you have to set the range finder again before shooting for me who already know where my bullet drop is going,i dont have to use the Range Finder scope, oh and also if you play dmz and notice an enemy like 400m+ the straight line on the reticle of that scope is thick so i think it's gonna be hard to aim on the enemy head

Unless your looking directly into the sun scale glint manes 0 sense lol. So they definitely didn't miss a detail when the entire idea of it is bullshit.
I don’t mind bigger scopes having more glint, but they should have it based on the setting of the map. If it’s nighttime or dark indoors, there shouldn’t be glint no matter how big the scope is. If it’s bright and outdoors like in the desert there should be a lot of glint
@@Jodykang No it's not- i was a stealth sniper in older CODS and it wasn't needed for enemies to counter me- or for me to kill enemy snipers hidden with silencers Now, they completely removed a style of play- and i tried to stealth snipe but always got discovered in MW19. I tried night maps- it was completely destroyed because glint is a giveaway in a dark map. Now in this game they added glint to all scopes, and when i zoom in, a lot of enemies without a scope just take potshots while jumping around and kill me- which shouldn't be possible from the distances involved on the 6 v 6 maps and wasn't a thing in older cods. ALso, when i run and gun, i shouldnt be able to do that to enemy snipers- it makes their style of play less useful, and they aren't able to take advantage of the range advantage at all. They'd be better off quickscoping at close range which is easy- but it makes snipers pointless if your'e a true sniper and not a quickscoper. I enjoy hardscoping and don't like quickscoping as it's gotten old- but it shouldn't be like this as you're just removing playstyles of others who prefer only those ones.
@@tippership You can still play that way... don't just ADS 24-7. The point of stealth is to be hidden... which means even if you're not pre-aimed enemies won't notice you. Even if they do you still have a faster ADS + TTK combo then they do. Stop looking down your scope 24-7. You're not stealth sniping, you're camping. Even then proper stealth sniping (Moving around the map while attempting to stay out of line of sight) is still viable along with camping if you don't hardscope.
@@Dragoonsoul7878 ...I'm a 'hardscoper' by tradition, as that's true sniping- and i do it with spotter scopes when i can- but real sniping, you aren't supposed to only sight in when you're about to shoot- you'll need more time than that to line up a squad running between buildings in the distance from your somewhat concealed spot. Hardscoping is actual sniping. I quickscope as well- but it's not as fun and not as engaging- and frankly doesn't make sense as to why it's so effective in this game. For the big snipers, TTK is not as high, since you can't down in one shot anymore in WZ2. in 6 v 6 you still can, but you always should be able to do that- not to mention other guns do this as well in 6 v 6 I also don't understand this aversion ot 'camping' - a sniper should be moving and taking few snots then moving, while getting kills and taking pain to be sneaky- but if someone finds a good spot and STAYS- that's a legit playstyle, removing it is hurting a valid style of play- but actual snipers do spend ages in well concealed spots as well, i can't knock them for it- and it's not like you can't work around them or manuever to where you'll engage them better anyway
It's also worth noting that the hybrid sights (specifically the EoTech style holographic sights like the SZ and DR58X with the magnifier) have higher base red dot zoom than the standard red dot. Hence the scope glint while unmagnified. Tried it with the 1x SZ Holographic and the SZ Holographic Hybrid sight and the un-magnified SZ feels like 2X zoom, not 1X.
I was stunned when I watched a killcam. I use the ACOG (SZ Bullseye) on most of my guns and it has full on scope glint! What the fuck IW?! Scopes don't just illuminate when ya look through them 🤡
I don't mind it, I understand why it is annoying but it atleast telegraphs if there is sniper camping and peeking down range. Then again my experience is from TF2 where sniper is a fucking menace in the game
Honestly idk why scope glint is needed there’s plenty of options for spotting snipers without them, I mean even if the enemy runs cold blooded, you run an infrared thermal scope (not all gray or highlight like the thermal holo) they’ll stand out by being darker than the environment. Also on a side note a couple of the sniper scopes are modeled with anti-glare scope covers yet they didn’t think to add that in as a feature for a unique scope type.
@@jj.jayjay. You clearly never used it. Spotter scopes are amazingly useful, just not in a close quarter or solo play. Just have a few friends throw down smoke, mark em up and enjoy free legal hacks. And not to mention whatever you take in is your choice.
What I find baffling is that hybrid sights still show glint even when you've toggled on the low power sight. Like the thermal hybrids don't have any magnification and they still give off a glint.
@@NopeD But it makes it so i can't stealth snipe like i used to in SOCOM confrontation, ARMA 3, or older CODS- now, every game copied off of this and has glint, and I can't stelath snipe- and i spent months in MW19 trying t obecome as effective as i used to, wiht the 4X or less scopes that had no glint- but never got as effective in 6 v 6 and warzone And now, they fully added glint to everything- i hate not being able to play the styles i enjoyed. I dont see why it's needed, i never had issues killing enemy nsipers The other reason i'm angry is that on night maps, i couldnt do stealth sniping at all in MW19 because glint came out of nowhere- which isn't realiztic All this does is remove playstyles- and for this new game, adding glint to EVERY SINGLE sight- is stealth gameplay dead? Is taking people by surprise and half the ambushes you'd setup, dead? If feels like you can't put in the hard work to overcome this- based on my months of literally trying to do what i did before. And i got bored of running and gunning eons ago- i can do it, but it's not my favorite and isn't as fun
We have sun shades and anti-reflection covers (aka honeycombs or kill-flashes) you put on a rifle scope specifically to remove the scope glint. The idea that you're supposed to be playing as a "SpEcIaL fOrCeS" operator who doesn't use one of these tools when shooting with a magnified optic is stupid, but it's game balance - just balanced poorly tho.
These are so drastic, it's probably worth adjusting them a bit, especially the extra large. I also don't think the hybrid sights should give anything off while not using the scope.
Glint should be based on weapon type and scope type. The point of it is to balance weapons that can one shot from distance, but instead you can avoid that downside by using a low zoom optic, and camping snipers can see you easier if you use an AR with a scope. Seems backwards.
it should be removed- i hate not being able to do stealth sniping like in older CODS- because i'll always get discovred by the massive flashlight I tried night maps in MW19, and the glint got me killed every time and i couldnt go on streaks I switched to optics that had 4 or less zoom- but spent months trying to do extreme range sniping and wasn't as effective, despite the dozens of hours of tryign to get back to the effectiveness i was at before- Now, they've added glint to every single thing- and with glint in all other games- i see my days of stealth sniping from SOCOM confrontation, ARMA 3, and older CODS- it's now been made extinct. i dont get it, i never needed glint to kill enemy snipers. It only removes playstyles and makes it so i can't become an effective stealth sniper no matter how much hard work i've put in, and it's really annoying after putting in a lot of work to be able to try to do my main preferred play style
@@tippership so true, this plus they want realism .... what is glint: a reflection of the sunlight, so it CAN'T be there at nighttime (also we have modern scopes for years, wich have no glint at all, aaah the technologie - but not in MODERN warfare)

Every time I'm in MP and I see one of these campers sitting there not moving with their glint, I just toss smoke grenades at them and then flank them. To make it more miserable, use the "Smoke airdrop" nobody is sniping during the smoke. If they use thermal, throw molotovs into the smoke
I'm glad I see other people talking about the extra large sniper glint. I have run across people using that and they are very hard to see. It's almost blinding to me.

I'm still average at best right but thanks to your channel and guidance I actually quite enjoy it more than I ever would have thought.
What about hipfire? is it not producing glint? I only have a dream that my Akimbo with two flashlight and two sniper glint will flashbang the entire server.
There is an "easy" way to play against a friend on invasion btw. If you friend is in a game of invasion and you try to join. If his team is full, you will join the other team if they have a free spot. So you can just have your friend look at the lineup from time to time and as soon as there is a free spot on the other team, you join.
If I ever want to figure out which way is north, all I'll ever have to do is follow the very large glint. In all seriousness though, this video is so helpful.
Good information here Ace, thanks. I actually find it annoying when someone is using the larger magnification scopes against me because I can’t pinpoint a headshot countershot. It almost blocks out the entire character model and I feel like I’m just aiming in the general direction of the glint.
I don’t mind the glint and thank you for doing this comparison video by the way. I think the glint is ok but it should only be visible to someone that is visible in your scope. The angle is too wide. When I am playing invasion on like taraq, I am going for 400-500m shots and at that range, your glint is visible to like half of the map. It’s because of this that I have the spotter scope a try and it made a hell of a difference. Use the scope for scouting and not your rifle so you aren’t giving your spot away.
I was looking through the scopes and I was honestly curious about the various Thermal/Infrared/etc scopes. It seemed like some were clearer than others for distinguishing character models from their backgrounds than others. And maybe it was just me, but some of them didn’t even work through smoke grenades (though I only thought I noticed that in DMZ against the bots).
at around 7:26 it's mentioned that all default scopes on snipers have large scope glint, but the mcpr 9.5 scope is listed as medium in game btw. Is the in game description correct?
I feel that 1. scope glint should be the same size as the optic view. if they are in the optic view, they can see the scope glint. this would balance scope glint by making it so that snipers won't be spotted by people outside their FOV. 2. SCOPE GLINT SHOULD NOT BE BIGGER THEN SOMEONE'S HEAD. This should be obvious, but if you see a sniper because of scope glint, you should be able to actually aim at them. It becomes a serious fucking problem when the scope glint is bigger then the entire god damn person.
I know you said you can’t test the extreme ranges like in groundwater or invasion, but me and my friend have been very very VERY annoyed at snipers in invasion because it seems like they never have scope glint, even when they’re using more powerful optics than us. I don’t know if it’s a rendering issue on the old gen console but it’s super annoying.
scope glint in hybrid scopes makes no sense. I was surprised to find out that my holo scope still provides a glint. Stopped using hybrid scopes after that in snipers
What about lasers with sniping? Why does everyone seem to use that. I feel like a major disadvantage from the side being stealthy. But is there any additional benifits with bullet drop at range?
The large scope glint is soo huge, you can cover up your whole body with the glint if prone. I like how visible it is, but it ends up concealing the person at this point.
I’ve been using one of the variable scopes that’s like a 4x and 8.7x or something like that. I’ve mainly been using that as my long range scope because it has that higher 8.7x zoom and small sniper glint too. I thought I was harder to see than medium glint scopes. Now that I know they’re nearly identical, I might switch up my sniper scope.
Yea I prefer very small glint like sz bulletseye 6.0x between medium as long as u use scope spotter tell u how many meter distances so players won't see no glint or cold blood, they can't find u and u sniping them slowly that way they won't see where bullet coming from, I took three players down with that way on DMZ
I can’t see shit when someone aims those big ass scopes at me. It’s way harder to find a headshot since your head isn’t at the perfect center of the glint sprite. I wish like it was diminished when I aimed directly at them through a scope so it’s always a disadvantage for snipers. Rn it’s a huge advantage imo since I can’t even see their head.
Sometimes, attachments that say they have the same glint, don't. Me and a friend tested the "small glint" and one of them had the same as a "very small glint" I have no idea how inconsistent it actually is. We also found some of the "small glint" weapons actually have NO glint, at least in private matches. Annnndddd on top of that, there were times where he could only see my glint when I moved.
When I first started trying out the snipers I really didn’t like the glint because I was so bad I just hard scope the entire time (like how you’re supposed to use them.) but I have found with the very large glint that I actually have a chance now against the quick scoping scoot and shoot players because the magnificence of the glare shrouds my mortal form against the heretics of sniping. :)
As a long time gamer. This is the first time I've encountered glint on weapons other then a sniper rifle. So to me everytime I see glint I think it's a sniper, I can typically use that information to my advantage. Now that any gun with a scope can give off glint, it definitely messes with me and I can't implement the same strategies. It's not a game breaker or anything, but I would prefer it, if only sniper rifles produced glint from a balance perspective.
I think it's really cool that they added a new level to the glint system and I actually do like what they've done because it just wouldn't make sense for a 4x scope to have the same glint as a 9x or 11x scope!!
I honestly hate scope glint, I would prefer it was removed completely There's no way to mitigate it as a player using the sniper rifle. Maybe if they had an attachment for sniper rifles to lower or remove glint it would be OK. Also i think that they need to make the glint fade in slowly and grow the longer you are scoped in on a target. So starts with no glint for 2 seconds you are aiming at somebody, then very small glint for 2 seconds, small, medium and so on in intervals of a few seconds. As it is now using a sniper rifle with a long range scope you could ward of ships from a rocky coast with the glint it is so bright.
I like the scope glint variation, but this just taught me that now I actually want to use extra large glint snipers so that if I'm head glitching, people don't know where to aim, center glint? According to what I saw here, looks like the glint is on the character models mid right neck...

I prefer very small glint between medium as long as u use scope spotter tell u how many meter distances so players won't see no glint or cold blood, they can't find u and u sniping them slowly that way they won't see where bullet coming from, I took three players down with that way on DMZ
Been waiting for a video on glint. It feels like sniper glint is an advantage over non snipers this game since the glint obscures almost double of someones entire model at a distance. Sniper glint is only really punishing if someone is counter sniping
That’s what I’m saying I can’t shoot them because it covers the entire character model.
I was surprised ace didn't cover this point, it seems like a pretty big deal
You just shoot at the glint. It is over their head lol.
@@carvedwood1953 you obviously haven't fought someone on headglitch using the extra large scope glint, impossible to hit
The Large and Very Large are quite ridiculous.
I swear, EVERY TIME I think of an idea I want Ace to check on, he drops that EXACT same vid almost the very next day. I swear I was taking a crap and watching a mw vid yest and I thought "I wonder how does 'very small' sniper glint compare to 'small' sniper glint. I use the 4x (old 3x from mw1) and I have been wondering what it looks like and how noticeable it is.. I hope ace does a vid on this tomorrow". And BAM!!
Thank you man for all the REAL info we need and not a bunch of fluffer and adverts with time draining rants. You are the #1 cod youtuber by far for staying true to your method. Thank you from a long time fan!!
Those low range scopes in MW19 would take a while to ads not that satisfying
@@Tech_Guy_87 The low range scopes would still ADS faster than the default sniper scope though?
HDR with a Cronos pro optic was OP. 400 meter snipes all day.
@@Tech_Guy_87the option was still there and in plenty of cases it's worth the trade off
When playing ground war, I found some body with very large sniper glint and I had so much trouble trying to hit the target at long range lol.
Yeah I feel like there was a noticeable improvement in my survivability when I switched to a 12x optic, probably cause they couldn't see jack shit lol
Yeah it’s pretty shocking😅
LOL is it still like that? Didn't run with them because thought it would paint a big target, but maybe it's actually better than smaller glint
@@gqqggq7127 I believe it is still like that
The real question is if scope glint stacks with the flashlights??
Does cod think that scopes have flashlights in them that shine when you look through them?

@@HNcomics it doesn’t do either of those things

I wish I could turn off scope glint in 6v6. All it does is make it harder to hit someone's head of they're on a head glitch.
Was thinking the same the other day. It's legitimately challenging to headshot somebody while they're hard scoping with an 8x scope.
Yeah I’ve been blinded by it plenty of times aiming down the middle lane of shoothouse. You legit have no idea where the character model is.
lmao I was looking to do this exact thing with the flashlight but it's practically invisible
The glint with hybrid optics is surprising. I really thought that was specifically the bonus to Hybrid setups
Yea thats fucked up im here thinking I was slick using the firepoint and BPz40 hybrid to line them up with the red dot then clap them with the magnification
@@Big_Boss14 we both fools, walkin around with flashlights on our faces

Great coverage of the topic. I get the need for scope glint, especially in long range maps like warzone. I think it would be cool though if they added in a filter attachment that could reduce the glint by a level or two like there is in the real world. It could shake up weapon set-ups.
A kill flash, the Watchdog 141 blueprint for the MCPR-300 has one on the model, though it doesn’t stop the glint
the large scope glint almost obstructs your ability to target the enemy effectively, or often if behind a light background it will make them look invisible.
The light attachments need to have the same effect as the extra large, like in battlefield. They have next to no use curr8
that’s why I love marksman rifles. Iron sights don’t glint, offer the best fov, quickest ads, and god-tier aimbot-tier one hit kill accuracy (I’m talking about the marksman rifle you have from Lvl 1, obviously. lol)
“There’s either a light house or an angel looking at me on that hill”
Honestly, the sniper glint in this game is so extreme it's an advantage. I honestly think if they just removed it from the game and let snipers actually be stealthy, it might be better because you could at least see the bastard once you found him rather than looking into the reflection of the light of a thousand suns all concentrated into the scope on his gun.
Would love to see an in depth test on the different fore grips and to see if one stands superior kinda like in mw2019 with the merc grip
I was legitimately wondering this last night when seeing Very Small Sniper Glint lol
Always hated scope glint, makes no sense when looking away from the sun you get glint on it
Its straight out broken.
Yes or dug in with shade lol
I wonder what would be a good way to make enemy snipers stand out more without the glint, i thinj a more pronounced trail as well as it lasting longer would be better than glints imo, so there's more skill in guessing where the trail comes from, instead of paniking and looking around for a glint
@@bruschetta7711 I agree, if they keep scope glint the angle from side to side of which you can see the flint needs to be reduced
As you can probably imagine I'm not a pro level player so idk haha
thanks in advance ❤️
@@RSainman the scopes really helpful if you doesn't know the bullet drop on your sniper, but it can be a disadvantage that every time the player going up or down you have to set the range finder again before shooting
for me who already know where my bullet drop is going,i dont have to use the Range Finder scope, oh and also if you play dmz and notice an enemy like 400m+ the straight line on the reticle of that scope is thick so i think it's gonna be hard to aim on the enemy head
I prefer very small glint between medium as long as u use scope spotter tell u how many meter distances so players won't see no glint or cold blood, they can't find u and u sniping them slowly that way they won't see where bullet coming from, I took three players down with that way on DMZ
bummed about hybrids. btw, have you looked at the vortex hybrid on the Victus? solid black optic and you can't see through it at all.
Thank you for the very informative video! I finally don't have to stress over whether or not to pick small or medium. I'll just go with medium.
What if you doubled up a very large glint weapon with the brightest flashlight? Could it be a legitimate advantage to build a weapon that way?
Ah yes, the flashbang living being
the tarkov retina burner build would like a word
get yourself a shotty or smg
modify that sucker to have as many flashlights as possible carry flashbangs and only run it at night
in cqc the only thing the enemy knows is that you are in the hallway in front of them
Scope glint be looking like a damn flashlight
I'm glad you mentioned that even though I switch from regular optic to zoomed in my glint is the same I wished for different but sadly they didn't care for that detail
Yeah this is some BS. I spent time over the weekend to rank up the Sakin to use DR582 Hybrid Sight on my RAAL for now and learning this makes it pointless. Why would I want to use it. Especially when playing solo Warzone or DMZ.
Unless your looking directly into the sun scale glint manes 0 sense lol. So they definitely didn't miss a detail when the entire idea of it is bullshit.
I actually asked for this video, and you delivered! Thanks, Ace!
I don’t mind bigger scopes having more glint, but they should have it based on the setting of the map. If it’s nighttime or dark indoors, there shouldn’t be glint no matter how big the scope is. If it’s bright and outdoors like in the desert there should be a lot of glint
That'd just promote snipers sitting in dark corners.
@@Jodykang No it's not- i was a stealth sniper in older CODS and it wasn't needed for enemies to counter me- or for me to kill enemy snipers hidden with silencers
Now, they completely removed a style of play- and i tried to stealth snipe but always got discovered in MW19.
For the big snipers, TTK is not as high, since you can't down in one shot anymore in WZ2. in 6 v 6 you still can, but you always should be able to do that- not to mention other guns do this as well in 6 v 6
I also don't understand this aversion ot 'camping' - a sniper should be moving and taking few snots then moving, while getting kills and taking pain to be sneaky- but if someone finds a good spot and STAYS- that's a legit playstyle, removing it is hurting a valid style of play- but actual snipers do spend ages in well concealed spots as well, i can't knock them for it- and it's not like you can't work around them or manuever to where you'll engage them better anyway
Scopes don't just illuminate when ya look through them 🤡
I hate it so much
I hate it so much
I don't mind it, I understand why it is annoying but it atleast telegraphs if there is sniper camping and peeking down range.
A question here: does the spotter scope have glint too? I’ve had times where i was pretty hidden but got killed when using the spotterscope?
Nope, it has no glint
why would you ever be using a spotter scope lmfao
@@jj.jayjay. What's wrong with it?

The very large scope glint literally looks like the stove light mod from the shotgun in black ops 4. That seems like a hidden benefit to me.
What I find baffling is that hybrid sights still show glint even when you've toggled on the low power sight.
Like the thermal hybrids don't have any magnification and they still give off a glint.
I feel like scope glint should only happen when the sun is in front of you or a light is shining on you.
the whole point is to warn/reveal your location to enemies, especially if using a weapon that can OHK at all ranges
@@NopeD you think a marine scout snipers position is revealed to the enemy once he aim down sight. theyd be dead before they knew
@@NopeD But it makes it so i can't stealth snipe like i used to in SOCOM confrontation, ARMA 3, or older CODS- now, every game copied off of this and has glint, and I can't stelath snipe- and i spent months in MW19 trying t obecome as effective as i used to, wiht the 4X or less scopes that had no glint- but never got as effective in 6 v 6 and warzone
And now, they fully added glint to everything- i hate not being able to play the styles i enjoyed. I dont see why it's needed, i never had issues killing enemy nsipers
The other reason i'm angry is that on night maps, i couldnt do stealth sniping at all in MW19 because glint came out of nowhere- which isn't realiztic
All this does is remove playstyles- and for this new game, adding glint to EVERY SINGLE sight- is stealth gameplay dead?
@@Throned1781 bro this game isn’t real life, chill
These are so drastic, it's probably worth adjusting them a bit, especially the extra large. I also don't think the hybrid sights should give anything off while not using the scope.
Glint should be based on weapon type and scope type. The point of it is to balance weapons that can one shot from distance, but instead you can avoid that downside by using a low zoom optic, and camping snipers can see you easier if you use an AR with a scope. Seems backwards.
it should be removed- i hate not being able to do stealth sniping like in older CODS- because i'll always get discovred by the massive flashlight
I tried night maps in MW19, and the glint got me killed every time and i couldnt go on streaks
I switched to optics that had 4 or less zoom- but spent months trying to do extreme range sniping and wasn't as effective, despite the dozens of hours of tryign to get back to the effectiveness i was at before-
Now, they've added glint to every single thing- and with glint in all other games- i see my days of stealth sniping from SOCOM confrontation, ARMA 3, and older CODS- it's now been made extinct. i dont get it, i never needed glint to kill enemy snipers.

Thank you for the video. I'm crossing my fingers for a Raal MG review soon
Every time I'm in MP and I see one of these campers sitting there not moving with their glint, I just toss smoke grenades at them and then flank them. To make it more miserable, use the "Smoke airdrop" nobody is sniping during the smoke. If they use thermal, throw molotovs into the smoke
i love how even at night, your scope produces a glint similar to a welders electrical arc
I'm glad I see other people talking about the extra large sniper glint. I have run across people using that and they are very hard to see. It's almost blinding to me.
Use spotter scope then snipe em right where they at.
This game is so confusing with how many attachments there are, glad I found you again

This video is perfect. It answered with every single question I had about this topic user have earned +1 like.
The large scopes like challenging someone shining the full power of a sun in your eyes
I love shining like a Christmas display while in a shadow with the sun behind me, makes sense
Been waiting for this guide…thank you!
You’re killing it daily with the content Ace! We need to get this man to 1M subs

Exactly what ive been looking to see. Thank you
What about lasers with sniping? Why does everyone seem to use that. I feel like a major disadvantage from the side being stealthy. But is there any additional benifits with bullet drop at range?
I was hoping that you'd cover this at some point! Great!
The large scope glint is soo huge, you can cover up your whole body with the glint if prone. I like how visible it is, but it ends up concealing the person at this point.
extra large is basically a discount flashbang
I think for the 6v6 very large is good if you can handle the zoom, becuz they csnt see your body
Glad they have specific levels of intensity related to zoom coma but they need to drop the glint off of reflex optics in hybrid setups
4x mag shouldnt have glint at all imo
@@Setnochima I think there's a fair argument for that, but the lowest levels of glint are pretty negligible.
After watching this, I'll start running the spotter scope as tactical.
Do that my dude its generally helps i hope patche it up a little it too unrealistic and broken in my eyes.
I can't wait until silencers start getting glint too! Pogs
That very large scope glint is so insane. It’s basiclly a walking flashbang.
I appreciate what you do Ace!
Damn ace killing it with the snipes
i will never forgive halo5 for normalizing glint and good placement
I didn’t have my glasses on and those headings for the glint sizes took on a whole new meaning. 😂
I played some MW 2019 multiplayer today and it felt so good compared to MW2
I like the scope glint variation, but this just taught me that now I actually want to use extra large glint snipers so that if I'm head glitching, people don't know where to aim, center glint? According to what I saw here, looks like the glint is on the character models mid right neck...
