Simple - the Spas-12 is just a pump action shotgun that was good in MW2. Pump action shotguns are often new in each game and that’s fine. Spas-12 was brought back in Infinite Warfare. The AA-12 they put in Mw 2019 so having a different, new gun instead of it that is full auto is worth it. As for the UMP-45, I actually agree with you on that one. I guess you can say though that we had the Striker-45 in MW 2019. But hey, we have the Intervention/FJX Imperium.

This gun single handedly broke the meta completely. The fact it shoots faster than the Jak-12 in mw 2019 its like they just rereleased the DLC weapons but didnt balance them
I don't think @TheXclusiveAce ever saw the hip-fire sniper builds. You can't get as accurate with this one but, it's full auto with very tight hip-fire spread after tuning.
this is the only gun in the game where i prefer to use the canted laser. with canted you get a hip fire buff , a sprint out buff, an ads buff, and on top of that semi auto has a faster fire rate and more damage then the broadside, plus you don’t have to deal with those giant iron sights. give it a try!

Nah the Jak-12/AA-12 was best with the regular buckshot 20 round drum mag. You just spam. Obviously the MX Guardian with full auto slugs is going to be useable, but slugs are about extending the range & they have bloom/ADS spread. I don’t use slugs much at all cos I would rather use the Lockwood MK2.

The riot sheild is why i dont play this game as much, It needs to have a way smaller hit box on your back or remove its ability to sponge damage on a player's back.
Hey Ace, quick question but have you ever thought of giving us some feedback on the best weapon combinations when using Overkill? I'm curious about what you had to say on the subject. I commonly use Overkill and mix up an smg or shotgun with a sniper or marksman (lmgs, ar's and br's I usually just use a pistol) I'm wondering if there is anything beyond just personal preference, for instance the ideal distance covered, avoiding having weak midrange cover and the quickest weapon swaps.
It's funny because besides the the KV when it dropped I didn't have an issue with the shotguns in this game but this shit completely runs the game the TTK in this game is to fast for a super spamy shotgun
honestly this wouldn't even be that bad if they didn't butcher the guns manual of arms. being super powerful up close but the drawback is rotating the tube every 5 shots and having an extremely slow reload seems pretty reasonable imo
@@FitnessFreak3_2those aren’t SMGs. They are machine pistols. There are full auto machine pistols that we had in multiple games. Even looking at older CoDs, you had MW2 and MW3. The Uzi and PP200 are like the Tec-9/FTAC Siege. They can be SMGs or machine pistols and it’s fine.
Nah it’s good we got a full auto. Although I was alright with a BO2 M1216 type deal, they gave us something really good with the MX Guardian. Full auto, semi auto and burst fire. It’s strong and it’s fun to use. You can still do well with other shotguns so it’s fine.
Semi auto and/or burst fire modes are definitely the way to go on the Guardian. I feel like I get outgunned by most weapons when I'm using the default full auto mode.
Question how do you unlock dragons breath rounds since i got the gun to max level however the gun only has 12 gauge slug and 12 gauge explosives round, Dragons Breath rounds cannot be equipped.

Glad they added this - it’s strong, fun to use and versatile/unique with the different fire modes/triggers. edit: i forgot to say that 426 RPM for the gun in full auto - that's the base/default way the MX Guardian is - that's one of the fastest fire rates for a shotgun we have ever seen. I think that's only beat out by the Kamchatka 12 in MWR but that gun was not in the original cod4 and the shotguns fired really fast in that game (most of them were not that great anyway). So the MX Guardian is very impressive.

Is the MP5 in burst fire different with its fire rate, damage and stats? I’d imagine not many people use it but we don’t have that many burst fire options in this game. I mean in Mw 2019 you had maybe 3 burst fire weapons. The Famas/FR 5.56, probably can count the Renetti and maybe the AN-94. 1-3 weapons. BO3, BO4 and BOCW had more options. MWII just has the M16, maybe the MP5 (not sure, maybe it counts as half?) and that’s about it. 1 or 2 burst weapons. The MX Guardian can go burst fire but it is full auto. The Fennec has the burst mag in both games but it’s mainly used in full auto (and there was the Striker 45 in burst fire with an attachment in Mw 2019). However, you had guns in MW 2019 and MWII that could go semi auto with a mag attachment and I don’t think they count (like the AMAX or the STB). So maybe just 1 true burst fire weapon in MWII and being generous, 1 more with the MP5?
I think the major issue is the semi-auto is under 200ms at 15 meters. The automatic is still too much but this is far worse. Shotguns should, at 12 meters, enter the 300ms TTK so any other gun has an advantage. Most maps have paths where you'll never be more then 20 meters from where opponents come from. At 20 meters the TTK should at minimum be 500ms and by 30 meters 800ms as that way if you get a kill the other person has failed to win 2-3 times and deserves to lose.
Am I crazy or are the explosive slugs broken? I tested with my friend and it doesn't even kill to the head pointblank. It needs at least 2 shots to kill even when not using bomb squad. Kinda reminds me of how in mw2019 explosive slugs had a slower firerate than regular slugs on the jak12 for the sake of balance. It's still solid against streaks tho. 15+30 explosive shells are just enough to down a vtol and it only takes slightly less than 40 rnds to finish off an attack chopper I absolutely despise shotguns. Even when trying to unlock it I strictly only used slug rnds. But I still have an overkill class with an explosive mx guardian for shooting down streaks because the fact that it takes 5-6 strela-p shots to down a vtol is still beyond me
Anyone else having this problem? Ive maxxed the gun level out for the shotgun but the ammo type slot is still locked. You are meant to unlock it at lvl 14 but im at lvl20 amd its still not working, ive uninstalled amd reinstalled but still no luck and I cant find anyone else online mentioning this issue.

5:25 I don’t understand why you don’t think the slugs are good. The 2 shot TTK is the same as buckshot but with a massive range boost. Do you have to only hit chest shots to get a 2 shot kill or something?
That’s a good amount of recoil and this gun has quite a slow ads time. By the time you get fully aimed in. Most 2 shot kill battle rifles or marksman rifles will have already killed you and they also have far less recoil
I know you'll probably never read this, but most of these weird names are actually German. "Schweigen" means "being silent" and the "ei" part is pronounced roughly like an "ay" or simply like the word "I" (I as in me, myself or something like that). So something like "Schwaygen" or "Schwigen" with g that sounds like the g in "god".
Noticed one issue. This gun doesn't function against armored bots in Invasion. I found this out the hard way. And with Invasion being my main? It's annoying.
Because one broken auto shotgun wasnt enough, they had to make another to fill the KV broadsides place. Not sure who thought this thing was a good idea, but here we are.

Hey, Ace! I'd love to have an in-depth analysis on how to counter juggernauts. Is it the same case as with any other killstreaks or some different loadouts are more effective...
Easiest way to counter juggernaut is with a wheelson. Running the juggernaut over with any vehicle will insta-kill it, but the wheelson is the only ‘vehicle’ available on all maps as far as I know. Same also goes for crushing it with a care package, it is a insta-kill. If you don’t like these methods cuz they are exploits (I assume) or if you have a hard time getting higher streaks, the good old riot shield is your best friend. The Juggernaut can’t jump over a riot shield with its slow movement, and a riot shield can bounce the mini gun point blank. It becomes a waiting game, but with enough patience you will kill the jugg. Look out for flankers tho, ideally bait the jugg inside, play to the strengths of the shield.
I know why they do it, but I’ll never understand why the devs change damage profiles with fire rate. Its the same type of ammunition, just going down range at different rates. Same ballistics, same everything. It’s like saying 🍎 + 🍊= 🍐. If they want to balance fire rates, I think the best way to do it would be through recoil. Semi auto has best control, burst somewhat worse, and auto almost uncontrollable
You have it all backwards..... Use supressors with dragons breath and the bryson choke you should use with buckshot and slugs. You want that damage range increase for DB, but with buckshot you want tighter pellet spread, and lastly with slugs you need the tighter pellet spread to help slug accuracy at range.
Not if you want consistency with one burst kills as you start stretching the range out. You’ll see far more consistency with the Bryson choke over the suppressor for that.
Ill be straight up I'd use the burst slugs probably explosive since id assume im going to 2 shot someone anyways and silence the crap out of it and sneak around the map.
I just run an expedite 12 with a choke, grip, laser, stock, and explosive slugs. Tune for hipfire and tighter spread. Nearly zero hip fire spread and OHK to the upper chest out to 26m. "Hip-fire sniper shotgun" build works on all the other shotguns. Might not work on the MX since it lacks enough hip-fire attachments.
I was happy to see them increase the close range TTK on warzone but of course they introduce a heap of stupid low skill close range weapons so it doesn't matter I still don't feel like playing. Lets see what season 5 has to offer but this games an absolute mess at this point
As someone who enjoys shotguns, most maps are designed where if the shotgun is sub 300ms from 12-15 meters it is better then SMGs since you can just hipfire and don't have ADS time and often can take safe routes with little counter. This is especially bad for medium and low skill players who face those of equal skill since it is far better as more bullets are missed from regular guns while shotguns don't get any weaker. This one has an attachment which lets it kill in under 200ms at those ranges which only makes it worse as when you die to this you won't expect the one that kills much faster to be semi-auto.
Lockwood 300 dominates in just about every map in the game due to its 18 m one shot kill potential, and 25 m two shot kill potential and that’s without slugs.
@@jarlwilliam9932the Lockwood 300 is the worst shotgun in the game (still decent though). It has a 14m one shot range as opposed to 12-12.5m with the Brysons. Those guns have more than 2 bullets. The MW 2019 725 was better since it had a bit more range (I think it was 16m) and it had a much faster fire rate.
Wouldn't the 3 shot ttk in burst mode be 217 ms? 117 for the first 2 rounds plus a 100 ms for the burst delay? Because, if that's the case, then the 4 shot ttk in burst mode would be 334 ms which would be really good for a shotgun at that range. I personally found the burst mode to be the best...
Finally a fun shotgun. This is how it should be. It's great upclose but bad at range. All these casuals complaining are why cod guns are boring compared to the classic ones.

All of the shotguns are good in Shipment if you know how to use them. I used the Bryson to unlock this gun. I havent maxxed it out but for now the Bryson and KV are better

Calling the burst mode setup the Doof Doof is pretty funny. Almost tempted to use it despite my disdain for shotguns lol

I'm probs missing something but wouldn't the 3 shot kill potential for burst be 217ms (117ms for initial two shots + 100ms for the burst delay)?
You have to add the fire time from the second shot since that’s not factored into the raw burst delay
oh wait i figured out the math lol (2 shot kill = 117 therefore another shot doubles that to 234 and then add the 100 ms burst delay)

Anyone else having this problem? Ive maxxed the gun level out for the shotgun but the ammo type slot is still locked. You are meant to unlock it at lvl 14 but im at lvl20 amd its still not working, ive uninstalled amd reinstalled but still no luck and I cant find anyone else online mentioning this issue.

5:25 I don’t understand why you don’t think the slugs are good. The 2 shot TTK is the same as buckshot but with a massive range boost. Do you have to only hit chest shots to get a 2 shot kill or something?
That’s a good amount of recoil and this gun has quite a slow ads time. By the time you get fully aimed in. Most 2 shot kill battle rifles or marksman rifles will have already killed you and they also have far less recoil

I know you'll probably never read this, but most of these weird names are actually German.
"Schweigen" means "being silent" and the "ei" part is pronounced roughly like an "ay" or simply like the word "I" (I as in me, myself or something like that).
So something like "Schwaygen" or "Schwigen" with g that sounds like the g in "god".
I would reccomend using the other supressor that helps range. It has a far lower ads speed penalty and gice the same range.

Noticed one issue. This gun doesn't function against armored bots in Invasion. I found this out the hard way. And with Invasion being my main? It's annoying.

Hey, Ace! I'd love to have an in-depth analysis on how to counter juggernauts. Is it the same case as with any other killstreaks or some different loadouts are more effective...

Easiest way to counter juggernaut is with a wheelson. Running the juggernaut over with any vehicle will insta-kill it, but the wheelson is the only ‘vehicle’ available on all maps as far as I know. Same also goes for crushing it with a care package, it is a insta-kill. If you don’t like these methods cuz they are exploits (I assume) or if you have a hard time getting higher streaks, the good old riot shield is your best friend. The Juggernaut can’t jump over a riot shield with its slow movement, and a riot shield can bounce the mini gun point blank. It becomes a waiting game, but with enough patience you will kill the jugg. Look out for flankers tho, ideally bait the jugg inside, play to the strengths of the shield.
Okay, I just tested it, and the akimbo Tec9 just shred juggs. It melts them like butter.

I know why they do it, but I’ll never understand why the devs change damage profiles with fire rate. Its the same type of ammunition, just going down range at different rates. Same ballistics, same everything. It’s like saying 🍎 + 🍊= 🍐.
If they want to balance fire rates, I think the best way to do it would be through recoil. Semi auto has best control, burst somewhat worse, and auto almost uncontrollable
You have it all backwards..... Use supressors with dragons breath and the bryson choke you should use with buckshot and slugs. You want that damage range increase for DB, but with buckshot you want tighter pellet spread, and lastly with slugs you need the tighter pellet spread to help slug accuracy at range.
Not if you want consistency with one burst kills as you start stretching the range out. You’ll see far more consistency with the Bryson choke over the suppressor for that.
Ill be straight up I'd use the burst slugs probably explosive since id assume im going to 2 shot someone anyways and silence the crap out of it and sneak around the map.
When ace was playing vs bots a few videos ago, he had to shoot a downed bot *Four* more times to finish them. I think its fine 😂

So far the m4 is the best semi auto with slugs for movement and accuracy balance.
I just run an expedite 12 with a choke, grip, laser, stock, and explosive slugs. Tune for hipfire and tighter spread. Nearly zero hip fire spread and OHK to the upper chest out to 26m.
"Hip-fire sniper shotgun" build works on all the other shotguns. Might not work on the MX since it lacks enough hip-fire attachments.

I was happy to see them increase the close range TTK on warzone but of course they introduce a heap of stupid low skill close range weapons so it doesn't matter I still don't feel like playing. Lets see what season 5 has to offer but this games an absolute mess at this point

As someone who enjoys shotguns, most maps are designed where if the shotgun is sub 300ms from 12-15 meters it is better then SMGs since you can just hipfire and don't have ADS time and often can take safe routes with little counter.
This is especially bad for medium and low skill players who face those of equal skill since it is far better as more bullets are missed from regular guns while shotguns don't get any weaker.
This one has an attachment which lets it kill in under 200ms at those ranges which only makes it worse as when you die to this you won't expect the one that kills much faster to be semi-auto.
Lockwood 300 dominates in just about every map in the game due to its 18 m one shot kill potential, and 25 m two shot kill potential and that’s without slugs.
@@jarlwilliam9932the Lockwood 300 is the worst shotgun in the game (still decent though). It has a 14m one shot range as opposed to 12-12.5m with the Brysons. Those guns have more than 2 bullets. The MW 2019 725 was better since it had a bit more range (I think it was 16m) and it had a much faster fire rate.

Because, if that's the case, then the 4 shot ttk in burst mode would be 334 ms which would be really good for a shotgun at that range. I personally found the burst mode to be the best...
Finally a fun shotgun. This is how it should be. It's great upclose but bad at range. All these casuals complaining are why cod guns are boring compared to the classic ones.

Broken means game breaking. Either so bad it doesnt work and needs to be hotfixed immediately, or so good it needs to be hotfixed immediately(a level above OP). Overpowered means it's just better than everything else

All of the shotguns are good in Shipment if you know how to use them. I used the Bryson to unlock this gun. I havent maxxed it out but for now the Bryson and KV are better
