@@SouthernLatitudesFL OMG!! The flavor is amazing!!! I thought it would have been bland. It tastes almost like the gum Juicy Fruit🤯. I don’t even want to mess it up turning it into meat replacements. But that was the goal!!!

@@apeacefulplace7854 It is amazing!! I have been craving jakfruit all yesterday and today. 😂

It should remind you of Juicy Fruit gum. Juicy Fruit's flavor is derived from Jackfruit.

Yes, it definitely has the bubble gum flavoring. I want to use a jar or two for making bubble gum ice cream.

I wish I had the room for one really nice tree. I think we should have one or two trees in a community location to feed the community-at-large.

@@thewildingslanding may be I'm too new to win your hearts, but just sharing that our facility of canning Sri Lankan (Ceylon) jackfruits is kickstarting by October. If interested please contact me. Of course ours will be organic, fair-trade and GMP compliant as well 🤓

We just bought our first Jackfruit in our local market just because it looked interesting. Our Produce Manager cut in half and wrapped in Saran Wrap. We brought home but did not know how to prepare it. After watching a couple of You Tube videos we learned how to prepare it. I wanted to can it and your video was the first one I watched. Thank You. Tomorrow I will can our Jackfruit 🤗🙋‍♀️

Good luck with your canning!! I have opened up one of my Jackfruit jars earlier this year. Delish.

@@SouthernLatitudesFL Yes, I imagine it would be because of the acidity in the sauce from the tomatoes. I am looking into it and will share the recipe with you if you would like. I live in Michigan so I am not sure if they even sell Jackfruit during the winter but I will definitely check and try it out when I get my hands on some. Thanks for the reply 🤗

The flesh makes the best vegan meat. Shreds like chicken or pork.
