Vocals are unmatched. Flawless guitar player. His solo shows are the best concerts I've ever seen. A musical genius, a legend, a real rock god. RIP Chris. The best lead singer ever.
I so agree. Chris is the best ever and never will a lead vocalist will replace him. His octave voice level was a 3 or 4, can't remember which one. Not even opera singers can hit it that high. As far as vocals go, Chris is right up there with Freddie Mercury. Chris has always been my favorite vocalist and always will be. Love you, Chris. I have never understood why Kim did get alot more credit and attention as other guitarists. He is the best.
Could not be better said! My 1st Soundgarden show was seeing them on the 2nd night of the Motorvision dates at The Paramount theatre in Seattle on March 6, 1992. I got to see both Soundgarden and Chris solo many times. I miss Chris so much!
I agree sissy, wasn't he just so beautiful inside and out? There will NEVER be another like him. The earth is the biggest , emptiest, most darkest place without your presence here. We are lost without you. We no longer have you to keep the light and hope and passion going. Hopefully, most of us have Jesus Christ in our lives to carry us on.
He wrote alot of songs after he joined and helped to expand their sound I think Hiro was a better bass player overall but Ben had better abilities as a song writer .
I live in Seattle, and when we found out he died his Seattle family cried for days. We still grieve to this day for him and Layne........RIP Chris and Layne.
Last concert was very sad, I could tell Chris wasn't right.... he is a perfectionist as far as his voice. It was a mess from when they stepped on stage.... sad sad sad sad sad
Saw them open for NIN in 2014 in Palm Beach. Chris was telling the story of how he wrote a song and rhe story started dragging and suddenly there was a thunder strike and knocked out the power. When the generators kicked in the power for stage came back before the lights so he said something like "i guess that's my que to shut the f*ck up" and they started playing in the dark untik the lights startes slowly coming back on. Was absolutely incredible moment. Best show I've been to
I know how lucky I was living and working in the Music Industry during the Rise of the Seattle Scene. Saw a lot of bands at little clubs. The Central, The Ditto, The Vogue, OK Hotel, The Off Ramp and all its incarnations. What a great time in Music History.
This band had it all, an amazing lead guitar, a sharp well rounded bass player, the best drummer of the last 30 years and of course, the greatest rock lead singer ever Rip!!
I remember going to a concert with my best friend I felt so lucky to be able to see Chris do his thinking in a concert & think it was a great thing to be able to see him in a concert he was a great musician I'm so sad the world lost him.
Chris Cornell left such an enormous void in the world of music and of decent human beings, I especially love how decent he looks right around 29:09 and 29:10.. My goodness, no one looks like you anymore... but more importantly no body wails like Mr. Christopher Cornell. NOBODY.
Love the harmony of Chris and Eddie live singing "Outshined" at Lollapalooza. Power child gone wild "I know what to do" erotica. What a dynamo a little bit Jagger, Aerosmith, Zappa, Plant all rolled into one package. No one can ever top Chris Cornell. Best Soundgarden sound.Watching this in 2020 and it is still amazing !
I believe the Badmotorfinger tour had Chris at his best from a vocal point of view. Too bad I was 11 and my brother 17 when they played in Milan, my brother asked but my parents promptly said "No way you go to a rock concert with an 11 years old". By judging the Badmotorfinger performances... was really a pity!
I had never seen some of these performances, at least Fopp and Big Dumb sex (in which he sings INCREDIBLY, I think it must be 1990-1991 when he reached perfection, as shown in Temple of the dog). I feel like crying everytime I watch videos of him. Guess you feel similar, thank you so much for uploading.
I fell in love as soon as I heard The Voice it was a magical instrument was lucky to see him through all of his bands and solo gigs. The early Soundgarden stuff was freakn hitting me hard .I had left rock n roll during hair /disco era because I couldn't stand it and then...back in saddle with a big ole grin on my face .Thanks for uploading !! I sometimes still have a tough time watching these but I am smiling through the tears these days.

God bless you too brother, we are all Gods children, only, God wants to see if we ever received his letter to us. you know the letter I'm sure, BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH. THE BIBLE REST IBN PEACE CHRIS
Thanks for putting this together! Seeing the early footage is great. Chris's growls and howls on Fopp! And Jesus Christ Pose must be one hell of a fun and furious song to play. I miss him everyday.
Thx for putting this together ❤ and thx to the fans that were lucky enough to see Chris in his raw years for recording him for us! ROCK ON FOREVER CHRIS!!!

First song was the most saddest in all time of performance. Andy died a few weeks ago, and He couldn't be anything but sad and depressed. Anyhow, He did it great. He was that kind of man. He played tribute to almost anyone. That's why pisses me of that Eddie, no matter how sad and denied he is, He wont say his fucking name. It's just not fair.
Eddie was simply traumatized. I couldn't say his name either for weeks. Couldn't even open the news. Many of us who knew this soul were lambasted by the news. ❤
For me I I always thought that depression what's an excuse to feel negative about yourself excuse for negative stuff to mess with you I'm just try to live your life the best that you could do and if negative shit
I was fortunate enough to see the Ugly Truth show at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds in 1992. I also caught the first of 2 shows at the Paramount theater as well in 92. The Melvins opened. I have to say- tho. I saw SG open for Danzig in Boston during their Louder than Love tour. That show left a mark.
Do y'all remember what year it was when SG won almost all the MTV awards when they got on stage and Chris said "We are not leaving this stage until you call us a heavy metal band"?
