Gate of Steiner is, without a doubt, my favorite ost from Steins;Gate. Combined with the speech Maho gave, the same speech Okarin gave at the start of the series, the ending scene becomes such a powerful... beautiful moment.
SG0 literally the reason why i like SG og more. They explain many thing. It great feeling watching it based on release date. Simple moment in past exist because someone works hard in future. Literally total opposite from RL. Amazing.
Same. Stein's gate is still my favourite anime till date heavily due to SG0. Thank God I watched it in chronological order on my first watch, the ending of the Og SG felt way more rewarding for me after zero.
To answer your question at the end of the video, the VN for the original Steins;Gate isn’t very different from the anime. The big differences are that it has alternate endings, the mechanics of the time leap machine/Phonewave get explained more, and that you get Okabe’s full monologues which gives even more nuance to his character. Some don’t like the alternate endings very much but I personally found them very interesting as “what-if’s” Steins;Gate 0 VN is a very different experience to the anime. I can’t even go into all of the differences because there are too many. All I’ll say is if you like the anime I would highly recommend reading it, it’s great
I think its just the different tone. Steins;Gate was quite a traumatic journey but there was plenty of humor and development to keep you interested, but 0 is more about depression and recovery while exploring the more vulnerable side of these characters. I think some people either just don't sympathize with mental illness or dislike when characters aren't the same. Suzuha is a good example since she basically went from being Marty McFly to Kyle Reese between shows and some people don't like it.
I understand it a bit, I think it comes down to degree of investment. Steins Gate pulls off an otherwordly tone shift after building up a intricate plot and environment. It is powerful and it hits hard if you get through the slower portions. S;G0 is far more so about Okabe and the topic of trauma. I personally was able to relate with him in a way that was really helpful for my own path of healing. Specifically with Daru punching Okabe after he blows up on Hiyajo, the disregarding of other's emotions within one own's self loathing. I think it is a excellent way of portraying trauma, especially with Okabe healing through confronting it head on with the 3000 leaps. Only after rediscovering his motivation for preventing the death of his friend was he able to find his way. It is a different story and is a lot less intense while still being compelling for the invested. I remember every episode filled me with anticipation. Every week was a new episode + a 1 week behind english dub. Man was it a journey. I love 0 more than the original but I cant fault anyone who prefers the og
@@nathanielmathews2617 I do understand preferring one or the other, what I can't understand is completely disliking one or the other, or even some people calling 0 pointless or saying it ruins Steins;Gate.
The post credits scene here is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my god damned life. Also that version of Gate of Steiner with the vocals that plays... omg absolute chills
After watching the anime more than 15 times watching it with you guys was so beautiful its like im watching it with you for the first time really appreciate the work 🫡🫡
Thank you guys for walking this far. I appreciate It. Did you guys realize that Maho's words were the same at the beginning of the original show? The difference is that Okabe said it in the beginning, and Maho ended it with the same words. Another thing, the end song now got lyrics. Anna pointed precisely, the "hour glass", remember Mayuri's words ( what I don't remember haha, but I remember the meaning) "There are many versions of us on other worlds, we can say that we are the original ones. And our feelings will reach us in Akihabara, and I'm sure we'll die here." (Okabe dream on ep 12, the one Mayuri dies for the first time) To me, Okabe,'s dream describes Mayuri thought's before he arrives there. Stein's gates 0 to me is most answers that weren't clear on the original show. Like I said at the beginning of your guys reactions, I was afraid of Zero, because the main show was perfect, and for my surprise I loved Zero. Haha guys, next episode is a extra for Us, isn't relevant to the plot. But is a good episode on my opinion. However, the movie is vital for me. Isn't cannon, but I love it. And I bet that you guys would love it if you guys watch it.
One of the best anime endings. One curious details do you have to know is that S;G 0 VN yo can't compare with the anime, because is not an adaptation. The VN shows different ways fo find the Steins;gate but it don't show you the final route to find the Steins;Gate. The VN shows only Okabe sending the message to the past, it's the anime that show the final iteration to find the Steins;Gate
My most favourite fiction of all time. S;G 0. And you guys seem so genuine, immersed into the story and detailed discussion after, they were so good to hear.
Hello Autosave, ive enjoyed following your S;G0 every week. If you think you'd ever want more of this world/characters then i recommend diving into the VNs. I know VNs arent for everyone but trust me, these characters and this world have alot you dont know about. Science-Adventure is a shared universe and S;G is merely a piece of the overall puzzle. Give it a shot. The main VNs are on steam and can have a simple fan patch applied. Youll love some of the other characters. I bet you guys would love the Robotics;Notes cast.
Reading the SG0 visual novel was incredible and made me like SG0 more then SG. The top story driven visual novels such as Steins Gate , Umineko, Fata Morgana are some of the greatest pieces of fiction and IMO no anime/manga comes even close to the story telling and character writing of the top visual novels. They are definitely a time investment though.
It's sad to know that in the end, these 3 characters cease to exist in that place (as Mayuri mentioned in the original Steins;Gate)... remember that the recorded videos have to be sent to the past by Ruka, once sent, everything will be overwritten because the Steins Gate worldline will have been reached... therefore, now only the SG worldline will exist... with an uncertain future (except for those who watched Robotic;Notes)... and seeing Okabe finding Mayuri and Suzu gives you the understanding that the videos haven't been sent to the past by Ruka yet... but once sent, the last image that Steins;Gate 0 shows you is of the stars Altair and Vega, and that is the confirmation that they are now part of the cosmos.
I know it's a long shot because it is Hella underrated, but Link Click is another top-tier anime that reminds me alot of steins;gate💯 it's also primed for reactions because of the amazing cliffhangers!
@@villadavid1997 The anime was decent from what I remember. I watched it years before the VN was localized and it definitely felt incomplete. It didn't ruin the VN for me tho... unlike with the atrocity that was the Chaos;Child anime! That is one of the few pieces of media that I 100% regret consuming
Bit of a shame this True Ending route completely takes away Judy Reyes' threat, as there is 1 very interesting route where you truly face off against her and her own special plan that's completely separate from Leskinen. What she planned to do with Kagari and Amadeus after stealing them from Leskinen's control. That was crazy powerful too.
Your mention of Okabe and Kuriso on the ova made clear to me that You'll love the movie. The game is basically the same, but has much more dialogues as explanations. However since it's a novel, you can have different endings, what is only to show you what could happen, the goal is achieve all the endings and finish with the true ending ( the same we saw in the anime) The last version of the game is insane, it's animated, feels like you're watching a anime and in control of it. Doesn't have censure like the show, it's much more intense than the show. Cristiana knowledge for exemple, on the show she only tell us 5% of it. Remember when you said Ben, that was impressive Okabe be able to do the time leap after Mayuri's death. The animation. Its not that easy on the novel. (God I need to sleep, to many mistakes. and I just noticed that I burned my blanket. ) If you guys decide to play the novel, please share with us. I would love to watch it
Please also take a look at「色づく世界の明日から」( IROZU SEKAI NO ASHITA KARA.``From Tomorrow in a Colorful World''). It's a moving work. This is a production of "P.A.WORKS".
Not sure if it's canon but there's a theory that since the time machine can only hold two people, Okabe stays behind in 18000BC (So Original Okabe doesn't get his memories).
If I'm not mistaken, we don't get to see the interior of his own time machine. Who knows? Maybe it has a third seat, thus allowing Suzuha to drop Okabe in a more suitable place in time before guiding Mayuri back to the 21st century. There also an issue of: how does Kagari, from the worldines that Suzuha's machine gets blown-up, still has memories of spending years with an older Mayuri if in these worldlines Mayuri supposedly dies in the explosion? Does that point in time(or does the story allows it to) operate by different rules or that somehow Mayuri getting back to atleast 2025 and later raising Kagari was always accounted for? Many questions. But after all these years I still haven't played the VN(although they are releasing some good combos on stores, so that may change) nor additional material, so there can already be answers for these questions. Anyhow, have a nice week.
@@pedromourao29I'm pretty sure about the show already telling how time paradox didn't exist because of the time line branches As you said Mayuri dies in the explosion so this mean in this timeline Mayuri rasing Kagari didn't even happen. Remember Daru's video message to Suzuha he did mention he is not the one from her timeline, but the love to daughter remain unchanged or something.
And I said didn't exist is about the future Such as at the end Suzuha mention some time paradox because that is two same person or two time machine from future cannot meet each other

The VNs are wayyy better and immersive. For one you get be inside Okarins head so you feel the ride with him closer. Also, many plot points are expanded upon. Some are straight up different than the animes. Highly recommended.
I played the VN but I still think the anime fixed an inconsistency in the "3000 loops to the past" part and made the final stretch of the Mayuri ending and Milky Way Crossing ending much more tense and better by placing the event of the destruction of the machine on top of the building as a supposed convergence of the line. And it also added a special scene in the post-credits. For me, the anime was made with so much care and prestige, mixing information from several routes of the novel in a coherent way, that I think it conveys well what the original game wanted to convey.
@giovanefreitas7393 I agree with a lot of that though... The VN is still better. For example, Okarins memories were recorded with Amadeus and saved til 2036. The anime didn't bother explaining that at all... It was like "lol we randomly found them in this old PC!".
