I took one home for the weekend yesterday (I work at a Duck/BMW/Triumph/Indian dealer). So far so good. I've been a motorcycle tech for over 13 years with a lot of experience any many, many motorcycles. This is an underrated, highly impressive motorcycle. Handles like its on rails, and has MASSIVE power range (typical for Ducait). Excellent bike across the board, there are a few things that I'm not a fan of, but they are personal anal retentive issues, not issues with the bike by any means.
When I saw the routing of the front brakeline, I knew I had to have this bike. Best brakeline routing ever! Hope other brands will start routing theire front brakelines the same way so I have more options in the future when I ever get bored with the Scrambler 1100. The fact that it sounds and looks awesome, has great brakes, great handling and is the most fun I ever had on a motorcycle in 30 years is all an unimportant side issue.
Outro crew here ;) I have ridden the 2018 standard 1100 for a year now and I love it! Your recommendation of the MT-10 is interesting, I'll definitely test ride it when (if) I ever get tired of my Scrambler.
made it all the way to the outro! I'm currently living in Spain, went to the dealership and test riding one tomorrow! Seeing your video has me soooo AMPED! THANK YOU!!
Dear Chase, I enjoyed your review so tremendously. I just move to Malaysia from Germany; back home I ride a Ducati Sport Classic 1000 Biposto black like in the movie Thron. Here in the tropical heat of Malaysia I am wondering what bike to pick... Upright naked is a must for cooling! Alright your review is comprehensive, but the way you made me FEEL, like I was riding that bike, so good and connected! So much more relevant than reporting numbers. Your talk is nice to listen to, both in voice, quality as well as content. As a side product it got me feeling again how much I miss being in the US! I have had such fantastic memories of spending time with Americans anywhere! Forget politics, ...USA all the way!! 💪🏻😁 So much to say, but let me wrap up with this; I LOVED your video and hey, DUCATI...🥰 😍
Outro crew here! The 1100 is my favorite, not a fan of the "Pittsburgh Steelers" Color scheme but its just paint. Anyone else see that plate hanging on for dear life @11:38
Outro Crew gang. Thanks for posting this video. The level of joy you had coming from your Desert Sled review to this one was unmistakable. Definitely think the 1100 is the way to go. I have my eye on the 1100 Sport Pro. Absolutely gorgeous bike like you said.
Aw I was really hoping the review was going to be on the new sport pro, no one really has many videos on it and it is by far my favorite looking (and the desert sled lol) Outro crew here, I hope you do that first ride review or I might have to go there myself and look at that bike. It sucks only having two Ducati places in GA xD
Put some Termi's on that thing, and enjoy. Btw the new sport pro version doesn't have the cable over the dash anymore. (it was a tribute to the 70's models but people didn't like it).
Yes, I watch your videos completely to the outros. I don't want to miss anything you say. I think it's all valuable information. Thanks again for your taking the time to make these videos.
I actually just got a scrambler 1100 and 5 days after I bought it I totalled it but i liked it so much in the short time i had it that I'm considering getting another
I have the 2019 full throttle, bought it this summer and got my license last month, as it is my first, not much to compare it too. Still, it is awesome! More than enough power, wide bars give it the feeling of riding a bicycle, great control. Great sound from the termi my floor model had.
Not gonna lie , I envy you. My bike is still just a dream on the distant horizon. The sad part is they are so affordable and I still can't get one 😭 lol I work and work and work yet there's never any money.
I love this bike I don't know how I feel about the turn signals jiggling in the wind like that and not being LED considering that the bike is 15k (3:55). I wonder if this would be considered a competitor to the Indian FTR?
I’ve been looking at getting a scrambler because of the lower seat heights those have and now I’m thinking about getting something more adv style but still fun on the road.. does anyone have any suggestions?
I feel that if Indian came out with an ftr750 to counter the Cafe/desert sled, and an ftr500 to go against the 62 we could have a good old fashioned premium bike war. And move Indian past being just a Harley clone.
Outro crew!! Chase, I would i expect it would remind you of the monster 1100 (season 1). Not the MT10 or the bobber. It's basicly the same engine as the monster 1100.
I love the Scrambler reviews from veteran riders. They are eh, in the beginning, then they say, huh, this is nice, then fifteen minutes into the ride they move to, I can really get into this bike. HA HA.
Dope rides... only watch the cafe and the 1100... so torn! I'm coming off a 06 750 gsxr... don't want a downgrade in power but love cafe racers! Outrocrew curious!
City, Journey and Active are unusual mode names but at least they didn't call them types of Pasta, I'd always forget if Spaghetti was the fast or slow power mode
what is better for everyday riding for a advance rider the 1100 or the desert sled and could the 1100 be set up like the desert sled to do lite off road if you had to i am on the fence on the two bikes i like the off road ability of the desert sled but i like the power of the 1100 so i am thinking of getting the 1100 and setting it up like the desert sled what do you think
I prefer the 1100 for streets where as the sled is more for dirt and road. Both are comfortable but the sled looks better whereas the 1100 engine is “cooler”
They look great but just so much $$$ compared to the competition. 1170cc BMW R Nine T is 1`00hp and 88 lb ft, also air/oil cooled and less money for a Scrambler
I just rode this bike for a whole day. The amount of heat this thing makes is absolutely ridiculous. The heat just roasts your legs when you are at a stop for even a second. The heat issue is a huge design flaw and really a shame for the amount of money this thing costs. The bike is torquey. The steering is a little too light. The bike does not feel heavy at all when you're riding or even when pushing it around. It's fast but doesn't really feel much faster than my SV650. The seat and handlebars are too wide. I would not buy this motorcycle.
three years later, but I finally found your channel. Great video, awesome angles! Outro-crew.
Appreciate the shout out bro. You nailed this review. This bike is so fun to ride everywhere!

I got one since 3 years I love it every time I ride it’s best bike ever
Thank you Chase,I just bought one😂
Since I know the 1100 has no new production😢
You don't need aftermarket exhaust. This is symphony is ducati heaven. It's almost a sell just for the sound

I'm in the outro crew :) and I really like the look of this one compared to the other scramblers! :o Bad ass motorcyvle!
Fantastic review own a ktm duke 390 2017 been watching reviews on this bike am very tempted next year to purchase one .
Hey Chase, outro crew mate! Great series. Very helpful. Love Ducati Scramblers, gonna buy one soon. Cheers. 👍🏼

Are you gonna do the 1100 sport pro?
I actually just got a scrambler 1100 and 5 days after I bought it I totalled it but i liked it so much in the short time i had it that I'm considering getting another
This is my first bike I bought and i am LUCKKYYY to start with it the only problem that you can’t enjoy anything else
it does not look like a scrambler anymore, it looks like a ducati monster
Not really... Monster has a different shape, tank, front tire is smaller, lower bars.. so not really.
Those side shots are really what takes your videos to the next level! How do you shoot them?
Follow car
Outro crew! Out of these I like the cafe racer. Wish you had done the full throttle though. 😆
I have the 2019 full throttle, bought it this summer and got my license last month, as it is my first, not much to compare it too.
Still, it is awesome! More than enough power, wide bars give it the feeling of riding a bicycle, great control. Great sound from the termi my floor model had.
Outro crew every video my guy!
I picked up one of these (non pro model) for $7350 brand new. It's an awesome bike!
What a steal!
Wow crazy deal
Where?
Not gonna lie , I envy you. My bike is still just a dream on the distant horizon. The sad part is they are so affordable and I still can't get one 😭 lol I work and work and work yet there's never any money.
@@jorgepreciado9583 in winter near Pittsburgh, look for the previous model year and buy in the winter/end of the month for the best deal

Chase: We’re at the highway, y’all know what that means? 🤔
Me: Time for Chase to go CRAZY! 😄😉
Hello, would you get this over at Monster 821? I really would like to know and also pros and cons. Cheers
Wait does the 800 have different modes? I haven't tried messing with the controls. I have a 2016 icon.
I’ve been looking at getting a scrambler because of the lower seat heights those have and now I’m thinking about getting something more adv style but still fun on the road.. does anyone have any suggestions?
I would really like to see a full comparison between this bike and the Indian FTR1200. I feel they are very similar.
I feel that if Indian came out with an ftr750 to counter the Cafe/desert sled, and an ftr500 to go against the 62 we could have a good old fashioned premium bike war. And move Indian past being just a Harley clone.
The FTR 1200 is 55 pounds heavier than the Ducati. The scrambler handles better. The FTR is more powerful though.
I’ve got an MT10 and a Scrambler 1100. It’s hard to decide which one to ride.
Outro crew!! Chase, I would i expect it would remind you of the monster 1100 (season 1). Not the MT10 or the bobber. It's basicly the same engine as the monster 1100.

Great bike ! 1100 air cooled evo ,very reliable 👍
No review for the icon?
Outro creeeewwww! Can you please test drive the triumph triples? I would love a comparison vs the Duc Scramblers and the Yamaha MT series.
Outro crew 💕 ♥️ you back.
The 2021 handle bar is just so awesome. Now with this model, can you upgrade the handle bars like the 2021?
I LOVE the bike on backroads, but the wind at speeds over 70 keep me from long freeway trips!
what about getting a wind screen?
Dope rides... only watch the cafe and the 1100... so torn! I'm coming off a 06 750 gsxr... don't want a downgrade in power but love cafe racers! Outrocrew curious!
Would love to see you do a first ride on an Aprilia Tuono. I recently bought the 2020 and it's incredible.
since when was 454 lbs heavy?
Damn those cables on top of the dash...
Outro crew! We do need a vid of some more mt10 mods. 🙌
City, Journey and Active are unusual mode names but at least they didn't call them types of Pasta, I'd always forget if Spaghetti was the fast or slow power mode
Love from Vietnam.
how is he getting some of these camera angles???
Please do the BMW F900R if you can!
Haha love the reaction on the 1100!
Outro crew here! We need some exhaust upgrades for your MT-10!
Coming soon!!
outro crew lyfe chase we got ya

That is not a Pro! That is model which the Pro replaced
that's a 2019 scrambler 1100 sport, i have one
How much did it cost if u don’t mind me asking?
Maybe they just carried everything over for 2020
I agree 2018-2019, I think the 2020's have a different exhaust
@@JRBORIQUA7 It was a "demo" bike with only 10 miles on it. Bought in July 2020 for 12k plus taxes and fees
@@Continuums ok!
So that’s the old Sport not the Pro.
Also same power to weight as 800 scrambler. Not that much power, just saying.
Outro Crew!!!!
Have the same bike and it is just F...U...N..
More terrible cable management on this one. Imagine staring at that hoop right in front of you every second of every time you ride this $15K bike.
🤣😂😁😅
Once you get a windshield you ll have no probs
I want that engine in the cafe racer... Oh man...

the style on that chart needs to bumped up by about half.

I'm going to make A2 license I think I'll buy scrambler
Wouldn't it be a little too tall for you, Beetlejuice?
@@Bahle_Gaji who me? nah
What engine breaking? Doesnt he know most bikes these days have slipper clutch
And? Do you even know what engine braking is?
Slipper clutch does not effect engine braking, thats not why its there.
The wiring around the handlebar is terrible!
👍🇸🇾❤
Crazy powerful? This is like 85 horsepower and as little nm torque. on 211kg , sounds mediocre.
Don’t buy this bike for speed or adv riding lol
Those stupid clocks 😕
Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Can it scramble? Hell no. Triumph scrambler xe is as capable as bmw gs1250 with not the best windscreen.
One thing i hate on this bike and the only one thing......WTF is that dash....the normal circle dash was ok and they had to do this......--_--
That un-centred clock is shit
That exhaust sounds SOOO boring though 😐 sounds like a scooter.
Update: I bought one and it sounds amazing IRL.
Getting the Akrapovic full system next week though, so will be even better 😉
