For anyone trying to understand what makes this song so great, let me sum it up like this. The song starts with a lot of energy, getting the player ready for the big fight ahead (Which if you happen to be playing hard mode, WILL be a big fight due to the sheer damage output) You put out your biggest attacks, the music is pumping and keeping your spirits high while you dish out the pain. Then, around 0:29, the song reminds you that the thing in front of you is not just a regular enemy. You've done your damage, you've healed if you have to. But now it's the boss' turn. The boss attacks. The music in turn reminds you that you are now playing on the defensive. At 0:39, the despair in the song starts to set in with the rhythm in the background, such as if the player had just taken a lot of damage all at once and might be on the brink of a game over. Later in the fight, the boss will get a second attack on each of it's turns, reminding the player that they still aren't out of the woods. At 0:49, the opening starts to kick up again, and hope of victory starts to shine back into the player's minds. They fought through everything up to this point and don't want to be sent back yet. At 0:58, you finally get the REAL part of the song. You get the stark contrast between the player and the enemy the game has control of to try and put you back to your last save. You barely hung on from the last attack, and as the music swells back to the start, everything swings back to your turn. 1:18 comes charging in, and the music's back to that rambunctious, peppy tune ready to keep you invested until the boss is dead.
Nintendo, save what's left of AlphaDream. We can't lose this. We need to save AlphaDream. Do what can and must be done. Nintendo, you are AlphaDream's last hope.
Considering that Nintendo is a company that bullies content creators and makes low quality electronics that break down in a month, I think they only care about wiping their behinds with large Yen notes.

I feel like this is one of the few battle themes that sound absolutely stellar when hearing it in-game. So many other themes can simply be heard here, but the bosses really give some ‘context’ to this theme. You know what and why you’re fighting. Plus you can’t unhear the battle menu selection sound effects

This song is like a chaotic nightmare. It's all over the place. It kind of fits with the main antagonist of this game. Even though he is not the final boss I still consider Antasma the game's main enemy for three reasons. 1. He was kind of there from the start of the game. Bowser shows up partway through. 2. He fits with the whole dream aspect having absorbed so much dream energy that he became one himself. 3. Antasma was the one that purposed working with Bowser and not the other way around. Even though Antasma wasn't the final boss he was a good penultimate boss and a rather suiting finale to the concept of Dream World battles.

I love the sudden, halfway change of mood. It goes from a playful kazoo festival saying “yeah don’t worry these bosses ain’t shit” and then after you feel all comfortable then it changes and goes all dramatic like SIKE YOU FINNA GET WHOOPED BOY CIAO
In terms of story, I personally think it pales in comparison to the first three games in the series. It feels like they played it a bit safe with the story imo. Though it’s still a good game overall.
This was the first Mario rpg I played many years ago. Got it with my own money the year it came out. I sucked at it then but over the years I’ve come back to it and played it again and again and love it every time. I remember sometimes I’d just let the game play and not do anything when I fought a boss just so I could hear this song. Good times, crazy to think that was almost a decade ago for me
This song is a true masterpiece along with the main battle theme! Love that they gave Luigi the spotlight! Still my fave character from mario universe! Luigi Gang check in here!

At least this game is the longest in the whole series, takes 40-45 full hours. Equivalent to 2 Bowser Inside Story game plays because that game is 20 hours.
Dream Team was my first and favorite game, got it when it came out. This game and Partners In Time are the most underrated in the series. I'd say Superstar Saga is a classic game.
I like Partners in Time the best because of how dark it is and I think it has the best story out of all the Mario & Luigi games imo. I really wish it got a 3DS remake like the other games did.
It's funny how this song starts out like cartoony Mario and Luigi stuff before like 30 seconds in you get a harsh reminder *that this is Yoko Shimomura* and it gets amazing. It's not like the final battle of Bowser's Inside Story, it catches you off guard here and it's awesome for it.

I never heard this theme at all but I tried dream team for the hell of it but now hearing it once more and feeling the song it kills anything that brings me down and puts a smile on my face and when in battle it gives me a battle engaged smile
The Mario & Luigi games are known for having amazing soundtracks but after all these years there's something about this one theme that I can listen to for hours and never tire of it. It's like there's something almost magical about this theme because even remixes can't ruin this song it just manages to always sound good and my God is 1:08 - 1:18 relaxing to my ears. The melody and the trumpets especially that keep raising and getting more intense it just does something to my ears that I can't explain
This is definitely clouded by nostalgia, but this was my favorite Nintendo game. Really creative, good for beginners to video games, and absolutely amazing soundtrack. I could probably sleep to this music..

This and Bowser's Inside Story boss themes sound similar but while BIS is more silly and a bit more "kid-y" sounding, Dream Team is much more sudden and "serious"

In terms of story, I personally think it pales in comparison to the first three games in the series. It feels like they played it a bit safe with the story imo. Though it’s still a good game overall.
This was the first Mario rpg I played many years ago. Got it with my own money the year it came out. I sucked at it then but over the years I’ve come back to it and played it again and again and love it every time. I remember sometimes I’d just let the game play and not do anything when I fought a boss just so I could hear this song. Good times, crazy to think that was almost a decade ago for me
Makes me feel old when i say I have the same story but with Superstar Saga on the GBA hahaha, love this series so much.

They're trying hard now to take all these different mario franchises into their own hands. To no avail.
At least this game is the longest in the whole series, takes 40-45 full hours. Equivalent to 2 Bowser Inside Story game plays because that game is 20 hours.

Dream Team was my first and favorite game, got it when it came out. This game and Partners In Time are the most underrated in the series. I'd say Superstar Saga is a classic game.

I like Partners in Time the best because of how dark it is and I think it has the best story out of all the Mario & Luigi games imo. I really wish it got a 3DS remake like the other games did.

Both BrawlBRSTs3 X and AlphaDream are two nostalgic gods we all lost.
It's funny how this song starts out like cartoony Mario and Luigi stuff before like 30 seconds in you get a harsh reminder *that this is Yoko Shimomura* and it gets amazing.
It's not like the final battle of Bowser's Inside Story, it catches you off guard here and it's awesome for it.
Now that alpha dream is gone im replaying the mario and luigi games i own. Finished Paper Jam and Bowsers inside story. Gonna start playing dream team now. Thanks alpha dream for a great childhood.

The Mario & Luigi games are known for having amazing soundtracks but after all these years there's something about this one theme that I can listen to for hours and never tire of it. It's like there's something almost magical about this theme because even remixes can't ruin this song it just manages to always sound good and my God is 1:08 - 1:18 relaxing to my ears. The melody and the trumpets especially that keep raising and getting more intense it just does something to my ears that I can't explain

This and Bowser's Inside Story boss themes sound similar but while BIS is more silly and a bit more "kid-y" sounding, Dream Team is much more sudden and "serious"
