Many years ago my brother was in a relationship with a woman who he planned to marry. When her parents found out our parents were divorced they refused to allow their daughter to marry my brother. My brother was shattered but moved on and is happily married today. In fact, my brother and sister-in-law celebrate their 20th. Wedding Anniversary this month. The folks that refused or shunned my brother had 5 daughters, and today 3 of them are now divorced. One of the divorced women is my brother's ex. I met her quite by chance about two years ago and she told me that her biggest regret is not fighting for her relationship with my brother hard enough all those years ago. Her parents have egg on their faces today, what with 3 of their daughters now divorced. The point I'm making is: my brother may have come from what these people called a "broken home" but he is in a happy and successful marriage today; it was never a red flag for my sister-in-law or her family. I also have two sisters - one in a very good union, sadly the other is a widow but who was in one of the most wonderful marriages you could ever imagine. Just thought I'd share this so it's understood that being a product of divorced parents does not make you a red flag.

At 22 years old I threw my goals away for the validation of a relationship with a woman who had all 5 of these red flags very strongly and lived in another country. I'm now in my mid 30s rebuilding my life. I grew up without a real father and learned about what it means to be a man by wounded feminist women and ultimately paid the price for listening to them. Was a huge lesson that took a lot of pain to learn but ultimately I am grateful for all of it and for voices like Rich today that help ground the mindset of man amidst the overfeminized landscape of the modern day.

Certainly! Here are the top 20 red flags mentioned by Rich Cooper:
    1. **Feminists:** Women with a victim mindset and a tendency to see men as oppressors.
    2. **Violent tendencies:** Women who exhibit aggression, inability to control emotions, or physical violence.
    3. **Tattoos and piercings:** Correlation between body markings and creating drama in their lives.
    4. **High notch counts:** Women with a significant number of past sexual partners, as it correlates with relationship instability.
    5. **Dating single moms:** Caution against getting involved in a relationship with women who have children from previous relationships due to potential baby daddy drama.
    6. **Not willing to enter your frame:** A woman who refuses to follow your lead and enter your perspective.
    7. **Unfounded jealousy:** Displaying jealousy without reasonable cause.
    8. **Need for constant attention:** Women who constantly crave attention and validation.
    9. **Alcohol or drug addiction:** Substance abuse issues that may lead to relationship problems.
    10. **Bad relationships with exes:** Difficulty in maintaining amicable relationships with previous partners.
    11. **Entitlement mentality:** Women who believe they deserve special treatment without earning it.
    12. **Controlling behavior:** Attempts to control your actions, decisions, or friendships.
    13. **Financial irresponsibility:** Poor financial habits and lack of responsibility.
    14. **Lack of empathy:** Difficulty understanding or caring about others' feelings.
    15. **Manipulative tendencies:** Using manipulative tactics to control or influence situations.
    16. **Unrealistic expectations:** Having unrealistic expectations in a relationship or partner.
    17. **Inability to apologize:** Refusing to admit mistakes or apologize when necessary.
    18. **Ignoring boundaries:** Disregarding personal boundaries and crossing limits.
    19. **Constant drama:** Attracting and creating unnecessary drama in their lives.
    20. **Inability to be alone:** Fear or discomfort with being alone, leading to dependency on others.
These red flags serve as a guide for men to make informed decisions when considering long-term relationships.

Why would anyone have a picture permanently engraved on their skin that they wouldn't hang in their living room?
I had a buddy in high school who chided me because I would NOT get an earring (he was the biggest hound around, so it was not a gay thing whatsoever), saying that I was afraid to get on. The harsh reality is that, large percentage of women out there are no longer marriage / long term relationship material. Therefore the next big question is where to find quality women for marriage / LTR. Two parent households with strong presence of the father is one strong filter. Second is her inner social circle. If her inner socia circle has lot of bottom of the barrel women, then there is very high chance of she also sharing the same values & behaviors. The influence of a woman's sisterhood on her decisions & choices are pretty strong. Bad women are very good at gradually converting good women to be like them.

Most women view any type of male authority as abuse or violence. They think their own authority is just common sense compromises. They beat down the man and then say he lacks drive and initiative. If the man just agrees with her, he's spineless. If he tries to assert himself she shuts him down and emasculated him. When he gives up, she says he abandoned us.
The only way to operate is to insist on your own path and she either joins or leaves.

Women who focus heavily on the sexual part of a relationship often find themselves in toxic situations or with indecisiveness about their partner.

100% agree on feminists and violent women, I dated a very beautiful and attractive middle eastern woman in Canada for 3 years. Everything was amazing, except she was violent towards me when she does not get her way. I came to know of this problem in my first few months of dating but I still ignored it since she was very hot and I thought of marrying her and have kids with her. Well long story short, exactly what Rick mentioned her; I found myself hand-cuff because we live in a country where defending and pushing a violent woman away is a crime. Thankfully nothing bad happened to me but I learned my lessons moved out of that relationship and stayed away from anyone who is a feminist, violent or just someone who does not listen to anyone else's opinion but her own.
The other thing I would say is stay away from is big/extensive Tattoos girls, any girl who thinks it is ok to go through the pain to get these large tattoos are no good for any man who is serious with them.

The problem is these are fairly rare with still fertile, younger women. Your first red flag should have been older and looking for love. She's been looking for 40 years run what a waste of time and money

All very true. Just went through a divorce. My ex wife had 2 kids from her first marriage. Both boys. Good dudes. Even though we agreed that I was to be viewed as the male authority figure in our house there were a number of times where I’d try to teach them things as men like respect, manners, etc and she’d step in and undermine what i was doing. She always had to be in control. This caused a lot of issues in our marriage which was most likely one of the reasons it failed after 6 years.

Tattoos are an exception for me personally, as long as she doesnt make her tatts the core of her personality and she isn't littered in them it's fine with me. I have 2 tatts personally, they are there for family.

Excellent points all. That leaves maybe 1 in 100 women worth even being around.

Tattoos and piercings. Giving some stranger access to intimate parts of her body for hours on end. No quality woman is comfortable with that.

Agree with the top five, although I don't recall if BPD or Dark Triad are in your top 20, I would put Dark Triad in the top five, maybe instead of single mother.
