When I had a similar situation, what really helped me is to focus on my studies and sport. I made my mind too busy to think about her that when I come home I was so tired that instead of thinking about her I slept like a baby. I woke up early, run, study, go to gym, and etc. It really helps but is very important to be careful to not hurt yourself.

I have a friend, per say. We became friends because after I confessed to her, we coincidentally keep noticing and being in the same area together, which was really awkward. She wore a suit to our school's prefect annual dinner, has a very deep masculine voice, prefers pants of dresses, walks gay (just so masculine), sits gay and etc. She is the most masculine woman I've ever seen besides a Year 9 girl, who is gay. I told her because I wanted to move on with that crush on her. And at the end I still like her and we are friends now. I don't mine being friends, but there will be times where I would wish she was gay. Not sure if I'm over her completely, but I'm really happy with being friends with her. I even wanted to be prefect cuz she is a prefect, now I do still want to be prefect but because there's benefits and advantages with being one. The reason I'm still now 100% letting go is because that she is still questioning. There would be a chance and I'm willing to wait for a while. When I told her, she said that she liked a dude, which I accepted since yea, shes straight. I want to wait, I'm still young so I got time.
