100%. I remember watching this with my dad. When they had the chance to get the 3, my dad said they have to go for the win, because they will never get a chance like this again. We have never cheered like that for someone who was playing against us. It was spectacular.

I was 11 when Nelson Mandela handed Francois Pienaar the trophy. I still get tears of pride and happiness in my eyes.
The 1995 World Cup is definitely one of the greatest milestones in rugby history.
It brought an entire nation that suffered years under apartheid, etc. together and not care about feelings, grudges, etc.
The entire nation supported the Springboks. They won their first world cup with the entire nation behind them.

What makes South Africa's 1995 victory so unique was because it was far more important than a mere sporting triumph.
It was the spiritual rebirth of a deeply divided nation out of the darkness of apartheid and helped bring in the new era of the rainbow nation.

Nothing tops 1995 SA winning it controversially in the semis vs France and poisoning NZ in the final.
Nothing get shocker that’s that .

Come on! For the First Black Captain to win & Lift the WC should be at least No.2

Take your divisive and mindless identity politics and shove it. You do a great dishonour to arguably the best captain the Springboks have ever had.

Stupid comment. As someone who knows someone close to Siya, I can promise you he would just shake his head at your comment.

I don’t think this comment is offensive at all, if we’re being honest SARU had to be pushed to transform. I remember Fikile Mbalula specifically introducing quotas and banning National teams from playing without those quotas. Also for a long time black players were derogatory called “quota players”, so in the same energy it has to be acknowledged when a “quota” team wins the World Cup.

I agree. Just so we covering everyone maybe guys missing fingers lifting the cup? I think Am would be tops. I think it was covered nicely in South Africa gets WC glory.

@@thatosebotsane8017 that's my point. You demean these players by saying that they have to be chosen based on skin color. None of those players in the 2019 RWC were there based on skin colour. But by forcing quotas, you open them up to that accusation. Ask any self respecting sportman if he would like to be chosen on ability or skin colour and listen to what he has to say.
