I still see the oil pan hasnt been removed. Wheres the 2nd video? How did you get past the power steering pump? I thought the exact same thing on my e46 330ci. Got subframe lowered and oil pan screws removed and still got caught by the little edge or corner on the pump.
A bit of a rhetorical question but will i be able to perform this job without a lift? i have ramps and a floor jack with two 3 ton jack stands. Also how was the job, were you able to slide the oil pan out and install it with no struggle? Thank you for making this video, ill try to attempt this soon.
This guy, it's not just 6 bolts u obviously took the motor mounts off too. U didn't show the engine being supported? U gonna get people hurt with videos like this.
Jasper, stop the cap! I followed your instruction and no way I counted 6 bolts/nuts. The sway bar had to come down. I had to remove the dipstick, the airbox + mass airflow sensor + 2nd air boot, the clutch fan (because of engine tilting forward), the power steering pump, automatic transmission cooling pipes attached to the block + the bolt the attach the power steering hoses to the block and the steering spindle that is attached to steering column which is attached to the steering rack. Since this is my first time I'm at day 4 working roughly 6 hours per day.... But he is right you can support the engine at the transmission housing. and you can remove the dipstick bolt from below...

Hey, did you use engine support bar, before lowering the subframe?
This is what I'm wondering aswell.
I don't think this is necessary, as the engine will still be supported by the engine mounts, or am I wrong?
JasMo, my plug is stripped on the oil pan. What do I do besides this?!

Hello! If I use this way is it possible to slide the pan off ?
Yes it absolutely is.
Did you use engine support bar? Everyone saying i need one
If I remember correctly I dont think I did, but I did have a jack on the transmission.
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
