BMW N55 Oil Pan Gasket Replacement DIY (2010-2013 BMW E82/E88 135i, 135is)

►BMW N55 oil pan gasket leaks aren't uncommon as they get up there in mileage. Unfortunately, replacing the oil pan gasket requires removing the engine or dropping the subframe out of the way. The latter is the easier path to repair, but it remains a big job nonetheless. You'll want to replace it asap as oil leaks aren't good for many reasons; less oil in the engine could mean disaster, the leak can also invite dirt in, and it'll stain every surface you park on.

This video along with the rod bearings video gives me confidence to do my f10 535i. Wish I had a shop and access to any part needed , but being a disabled vet I’m use too laying in dirt and not having everything you need 😂😂😂

the oil pan is not so bad, but if you buy the kit from FCP, make sure you get the long bolt specifically for the f10 oil pan.

Pretty sure the short bolts are 8nm 90 degrees. Not 180. Long bolts are 8nm 180.
