    That PT cruiser might be interesting to fix, i certainly would find it interesting to watch a video on comparing what it was like before the mounts were fixed/replaced.

    Having owned a Neon, it's that bottom motor mount that's bad. Ya gotta lift the engine up to get it out if I remember correctly. Like 800 at a dealer. However, if you can do it the mount is only like 125 bucks and then you got a great car there especially since it's the turbo. I'd buy that for sure.

  • @bwolper

    I am glad you left the RAM in. You did exactly what I could have done. Seeing hail damage, I would made the same assumption. Thanks for being human.

      I wonder if it was a hail storm & they pulled over and got hit. I've been stung making assumptions, lucky I didn't loose much. I thought I knew better. We are always learning.

    Nice Ram Black Truck Randy, I am sure Sir Santa, Goonzsquad, or Vtuned don't have any problem repairing it. PT cruiser might be interesting to fix, there is a buckle in the Silverado frame. Love the video though. Keep smiling, Randy you have a heart of Gold . Sir TK and your channels are the best, Way to go Randy! Love the daily doubles

    That's a nice Silverado, I expect a rebuilder to buy that. I have a 2014 with only 7.400 miles on it now, kept it after my father passed even though I don't really need it but just a summer toy. Never been on the road in the winter here in CT, still looks new underneath. So to my original reason to post, I paused the video a few times and it looks to be the 4000 series Noco jump pack? It seems to work well jumping multiple vehicles, something I want to look into as a replacement for my older JNC. Just wondering how the Noco's have held up for you Randy as you're one of them who really puts a jump pack to a test?

    • @dassme1
      @dassme1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have been in the car business for 30+years so far the best jump box i have ever used is the BOOSTER PAC ES5000 . as long as you charge it out of the box 1st and when it's full unplug and plug it in again keep on charge until you need it . When you do use it put it back on charge when you're done with it . Try not to run it down to dead . I have 2 that I personally use and charge , they are 3 years old . 4 more that are in the shop that get there assess kicked Monday to Saturday . They are 2 years old still going strong

    • @dassme1
      @dassme1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As for the noco ,I have the biggest one they do work pretty well but have no handle to carry it . Just a stupid bag . They definitely work great but Don't like getting beat on . Only charge when You plug in the charger port . Because of the anti -short circuit In Them. They are good but if you use the hell out of your jump box it's not for you . . Get u a booster pac es5000 . 💯

    All 3 I would have bid on. The Chevy truck looks like it has minimal damage. However the Dodge most likely use the engine and get a new cab, bed and frame. Also the PT Cruiser seems like a grandma car from the way it was kept in such great condition.

    • @jacobfrech288
      @jacobfrech288 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The dodge does not need a new motor. Probably just needs lifters and maybe a new cam.

    15:59 Definitely has some frame damage where the tow hitch has pushed. It looks quite twisted where it mounts.
    Has some damage, but it could be repaired "easily" I guess. 🤷‍♂️
    What is with trucks and getting rear-ended? It seems to be quite common. 🤔

    • @jewllake
      @jewllake 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That Silverado is still worth near 40 grand! I can't see how it did not get fixed. My uncle has a 2006 GMC sierra and it was rear ended hard. They replaced the back part of the frame, obviously, replaced the bumper and hitch. The bed had no damage but it put two small dents on the back of the cab that a PDR company took care of with glue pull tabs. It was 7,500.00 damage and insurance fixed it with out any issues.

    • @makpsv
      @makpsv 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jewllake If there is frame damage they have to replace the whole thing, the bed has some significant damage too add to that the recent difficulties with getting spare parts from the dealers and you get a totaled truck.
      And honestly, we have seen cars and trucks with a simple "fender bender" being totaled and left at Copart, it really doesn't surprise me one bit.
      Not that I don't agree with you, it could be repaired, but I bet the owner wasn't too sad, who knows how long he would've had to wait for the repair to be done. 🤷‍♂️

  • @dannycasler4959
    @dannycasler4959 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Both the Ram And the Chevy Silverado would pull out, Bed and all, The first pull on both is on the rear bumper to start stretching out the frame, then hook into the bedside in the tail lamp opening to stretch it out, And while stretching the bed side, use an assortment of dolly's, a slapping iron I very seldom use hammers with a dolly anymore as they tend to stretch the metal, The slapping iron I have is made out of an old heavy toothed file and the teeth will pull the stretch out of the metal if the body hammers are having a tendency to stretch it out, After the bed is stretched out to where it belongs it needs to be removed to provide access to the damaged cab corner and any buckles in the frame while pulling on it. One the cab corner I always removed the interior panels and found the deepest part of the dent with no obstructions behind it and drilled a 7/16 th to 1/2 hole and bolted a big eyehook into the sheet metal with the biggest plate I could fit in on the inside to move the whole dent out without tearing the sheet metal or stretching it around the hole! Once the cab corner is straight just cut a little piece of sheet metal to weld over the hole and then coat it on the inside with an epoxy or even a good undercoat to prevent rust if you're sure the damage is pulled out, then prep the damaged areas for a skim coat of filler, The last stage is unbolting the bed and either removing it or lifting it up off of the frame to get to the buckles and pound them into submission with a 5 lb. Tonya Harding while pulling on the frame! If the hammer doesn't do it don't be afraid to heat the damaged areas up with a rosebud tip on the oxyacetylene torch while pulling on the frame! Just be sure to prep and coat any areas that you damage the paint on to prevent rust! I used to do a lot of trucks and cars damaged a lot worse than these are and I still have the frame racks and equipment and my shop to do it in but at 66 years old my health is too bad to do it any more! I wish I could still do this kind of work but old age catches up with the best of us!

    You mentioned the HHR - do you ever see any of those out there? I rented a couple of those and enjoyed driving them. One problem was that the roofline was so low, I'd need to duck my head to see traffic lights when I stopped at a red light - and I'm not even that tall. Other than that, seemed ok.

      There was one in the background yesterday. Hood was pushed back badly so it was hard to recognize. I like the HHR too. I've driven 5 of them and put over a million miles on them (4 of them were work cars.) I hear you on the low top edge of the windshield. That and the huge A pillar has been my only complaint on them.
