This video shows you how to install new front CV axles on your 2011-2018 Ram 1500. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications.
This repair was done on a 2016 Ram 1500 SLT 3.6L Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Thanks so much, 1a auto. With your help I was able to complete this repair. Unfortunately for me, my upper control arm would not come out even with a impact. I had to use a ball joint presser to add tension so it would not keep spinning. The 10mm hex stripped. My lower control arm also gave me problems. Needed to use a 2 arm press off amazon to help me dislodge the ball joint. I tried removing the cv axle with the lower ball joint on like some other ppl said could be done but it didn't work on my 2011 ram 1500. Eventually, I was able to replace the upper control arm and cv axle. Also, thanks for the torque specifications!

Part you forgot, good practice to clean behind the rotor and on the hub flange to avoid issues, also recommend leaving the hub cap off the rim, go for a ride and retorque the hub nut 👍🏻
