Penalties are not enough, but I agree this curbs are stupid. Gravel traps are the best solution, there needs to be some direct consequence of going wide.

Race cars keep becoming more safe but the tracks itself are trying to kill the drivers lol, did you saw that 2019 Monza F3 crash he hit a sausage kerb and as send flying? that as ridiculous if a crash like that happened 10 years ago the driver would be seriously injured, Abbie Eaton broke her back because of one
With safety being so good, These drivers have no respect for corners or braking zones and complain when they clearly beyond the limits and crash. It’s ridiculous even with super wide kerbs and miles of run off they still can’t stop themselves from cutting corners. These drivers are a joke. The real driver are rally drivers, they are the GOAT’s of motorsport
@@AZBCDE the car in the video had a brake failure if you are talking about him. Rally drivers are the goats of motorsport closely followed by BTCC drivers in my opinion. They launch it through chicanes side by side lap after lap and there is really huge crashes. Of course there are crashes which is the nature of touring cars but BTCC drivers are something else.
There's been multiple examples in just the last year or so of sausage kerbs causing major crashes and injuries. They need to be taken out and track limits enforced very hard to deter drivers from taking advantage of where they would've been.
I've heard the argument that the FIA don't like gravel and grass because that takes drivers out of the race and that makes the racing less appealing to fans and I think that is just plain stupid. I don't know if that's the actual position of the FIA though.
This isn’t becoming but is a joke. How many accidents? How many scary moments? How many times do we have to see that sausage kerbs are dangerous. If the FIA don’t take action I believe eventually the drivers are going to protest and not just in FIA sports but most motor racing series!

I mean the blowovers in nascar aren't that violent mainly because they have to get a tap from another in order to go airborne which takes a little while to get it to happen whilst here there is no other car to help the car go airborne other than the curb in which it immediately sends that car flying through the air like a peice of paper and thus the sausage curb must go there have been so many incidents with the sausage curb across many different styles of motorsport including the big leagues like f1, indycar, nascar, moto gp, and wec like we just had earlier today
if someone had a tyre failure like james golding did going into turn 6 at sandown in 2016 except going into seconda variante at monza then they would likely be launched into the catchfence on the other side of the track.
You know a problem is bad when the commentators are complaining about the issue as well.

If the FIA really want to penalized the drivers that go off the track, give them PENALTIES. Not speed bumps that launch you to the air!

They had a lady formula driver that hit the curb, did a wheelee and landed on the bottom of the car. The crash broke her spine
