    Love this. That FM3 preset sounds incredible. I love that you've got a real parapedal too!

      Thanks @LeonTodd - if I had to do it all again, I would have gotten the parapedal guts in a Dunlop CryBaby housing, which is an option on the Chicago IronWorks site. The thing is huge and heavy!!

    Thanks for going through all the mods, and calling out the smaller builders you worked with; the sounds are great, and I hope to get some stuff from some of those boutique builders at some point.

    Great video! I was lucky to see Ozzy-Sabbath in 1999 in Vancouver then I was blessed to see the Heaven and Hell tour in Calgary in 2007. They were both amazing experiences, and very different from each other. My first experience hearing Sabbath was in the basement of my friend’s house in 1980 or 81 playing Warlord on the Atari and his older brother put Paranoid on and I was like “What is that?!?!”… Funny how some details stick out, haha.

    Never ever seen a sg with a Floyd. But Floyd's are awsome. I'd love to have an sg with a Floyd. Had several guitars with em, still got an Ibanez with one. Played a few les pauls with em. But never seen an sg with one. That 2puld be really badass. Floyd's r really fun to play with

    Ever since seeing Keith's video you were featured in I've been dying to see how you got that killer tone. You've obviously got the playing down as well!

    Beautifull guitar, but a hate klusons. I got a 68 sg uh, I think it was called a junior. Came with a single p90 and 3 on a side clusons. Plus the wrap around bridge with the bent metal short whammy tail piece. I did away with all that. I put a leo Quan badass bridge on it, grover keys, and a early eighties dimarmzio super distortion humbucker. It's one of a kind. And it plays and sounds encredible. Ain't never changing it. Had it since 83. It plays better than any of the newer models. You just can't beat a vintage gibson.

    Hi Angus,
    I’m considering getting one of your true fire courses. I suppose I’m an “advanced intermediate” ? Ha. I have been playing for many years and have pretty good fundamentals for blues / blues rock playing. My guitar influences are Slash, SRV, and Clapton. I want to expand my blues rock licks and also continue to develop more elaborate hammer on / pull off runs. What course would you recommend that I start with ! Hard rock survival guide seems right up my alley but so does pentatonic alchemy. Any suggestions? I don’t really aspire to be a shredder but I do like the way slash (and those on TH-cam who Mimic his stye) used lots of legato and the flat 5 to get some cool exotic sounding rolling types of licks.
    Thanks!

      I think the Rock Pattern Soloing course has some of what you’re looking for. Also the more recent Pentatonic courses!

    Cheers Angus! Fantastic video! Love the guitars, love the track! I sent you an email with a pic of my Iommi/Sabbath wall of doom! My humble little TH-cam channel is a tribute to Iommi and Sabbath. I’ve only been playing for going on 5 years and I’m a lefty as well as a huge Sabbath fan so it only made sense to fashion my collection around the the Riff Master and Father of Heavy Metal, Lord Iommi! Looking forward to getting to know all about you!🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻

    i prefer using gibson 50's tribute version and sg special with mini humbucker ( 24 frets ) because of I watched the performance of tony with 24 frets old boy at the first

    If you want to get that look just leave it in your car in a hot summer day and you'll get that looked at Tony had on his guitar because that's what he did he left that guitar and a car in Brazil on a hot summer day and that's how he got that finish

    • @AngusClarkGTR
      @AngusClarkGTR  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s true. It’s also true that the original finish was applied by John Diggins at his home rather than in a proper spray booth and it was not allowed time to properly “cure”, making the situation in the hot car uniquely devastating to the finish. But I think this refin cost me less than the airfare to Brazil, plus car rental, finding a good spot to leave it for a day to overheat, etc. And since the nitro finish on contemporary Gibsons would be properly cured and contains more plasticizers than they did in the 70’s, there’s no saying the result would be anywhere close. Thanks so much for your question!
